I had a strong suspicion that something was wrong, so I just checked the prices in wiki. Making and selling winter seeds is a considerable loss of money. You need 4 ingredients for 10 seeds that cost 30 gold each, so you get 300 gold for 10 seeds. Even the base winter fruit + snow yam + winter root + crocus gives you a total of 380 gold if you just sell them directly (nearly 100 more than seeds); almost twice (570) if you sell the gold quality ones. Besides even a single base winter fruit jam brings you 350 and winter fruit wine - 450 gold (40% more with the artisan skill). Add what you get from selling crocuses and other winter forage and the total earnings will be about thrice the sum you get for the seeds. Spring, summer and autumn seeds are fine and more or less profitable, but making/selling winter seeds certainly is the opposite of profitable.
i mean, you're not losing money if you forage the items to make the seeds. plus if im making enough money elsewhere, idc if the winter crops are a smaller profit. money is money!
I personally like to keep the crystal fruits to dry or make into wine or jams and the winter roots for making Roots Platters
@@madeofmeats Exactly. Especially during the first winter when you most likely do not have a fully finished greenhouse with expensive crops. Later foraging is just a hobby, but in the first winter it is still quite important.
You can save the seeds you make and use them to make tea saplings which is a bunch more money than those alone in my experience

Imagine you’re me, in the middle of eating a bowl of udon. Happy I found a pack at my local market. Watching gab play stardew, whilst happily slurping up my udon 20 minutes into the video happily watching her name her cows. Then you hear gab say “noodles and udon!!”

It's weird how you can go deep sea fishing and catch a blob fish when the only reason they look like that is from the rapid depressurization of catching them. Also, with those torches on the sprinklers it makes them look like crosses. All hail the church of Egg Dippy! (not a cult, i swear even though the cat looks like something from an H.P. Lovecraft story...)

You may or may not enjoy going to the skull caverns lilsimsie style: travel to the desert first thing in the morning (after checking luck), prepare more bombs and RUN
I literally only go if the spirits are very happy, I have a desert totem, and a big stash of bombs and spicy eel lol

The green gem you got out of lava is a crossover Terraria item, you get the Meowmere sword in the wizards place in the basement. I was disappaiinted it didnt shoot cats. lol

You can put 18 trees in the greenhouse if u put it correctly!!! And dehydrator really good for mushrooms. For common mushroom its good for any quality i think, but i use it even for chanterelles. I saw a video where it explains that chanterelles are better for pickling, but i prefer using my preserve jars for jelly or roe
Dehydrater essentially is best for making base quality (non star) fruit/mushrooms and turning them into gold quality value plus a little extra. So not too bad in those terms. And its a way of processing mushrooms which is unique. Also decent since the introduction of mushroom logs. Nice on a couple of batches of base level cranberries etc.
