Great video! With the pipe what I did that was helpful was to get the pipe red hot , cool the stove, flip pipe upside down and get it red hot agian. The metal will retain a memory of the shape and make it easier next time.
I'd probably use hose clamps to get it all flush first. The flappy edges would bother me to look at haha. That's a great idea though I'll keep it in mind if I get one.
I definitely wasn't expecting the stovepipe to get rolled up lengthwise, I assumed you'd pull it out from one end like a cone, use the rings to keep it from unspooling, and then just push it back down into itself when it's time to pack up.
you start it on an angle then roll it then put the rings on then stretch it out after ... just makes it all go together easier and less chance of bending it on the edges trying to do it perfectly at full length@@johnathon007
I used to take my kids walking not so much camping but quite a lot of hiking all around Castleton , Hope ,Hathersage and Padley but that was above 30 years since so I love seeing you out and about it brings back many happy memories .
As for folks using this stove for the first couple of times, I recommend using a mix of soft and hard woods. Figure out a nice btu blend for the size tent u use. It will either burn u out or keep u cold.
Do you recommend your hot tent? My daughter wants to do, snowshoe with a sled, winter camping. (We are in Canada) The best part, is the bears sleep in winter. I’ve seen eight of them on the trails this year. One even, when I was trail running naked.
It could look way more cool if you had a small sterling heat engine on top to recirculate the heat inside your tent. Maybe you could even use it to help you with reducing the amount of wood that the heater / stove would need. A small hot stove / small sterling engine combo would look rather cool together.
My go to breakfast is buttered sourdough toast, with fried spam and an egg over medium on top, but, that looked really good too! And that little stove cooked pretty fast!
I bought that stove. After using it 4 times it’s warped so bad I can’t stop it from leaking smoke. I think the glass panel will help with the warping. If I was given the option of glass sides, I would have gone with 2 glass sides.
I'm so glad I found this review I've been looking at these stoves forever and always found sumn that I didn't like, this one checks all my boxes I have to try and find and order thank you
That's a very nice stove The only thing that I'm not too fond of is the chimney system I'd much rather go to the hardware store and get my own material and build a more suitable one that would be able to be broke down into sections instead of dealing with that hassle of a smokestack.
Yes i thought the same. Infact that would stop me from getting it.. looks great but part of the fun of camping is the ring of stones and burnt sausages 😮 with smoke in the eyes !!
So that smokestack actually isn't a hassle at all. It's way more time/space consuming to have a sectional. Yes, the sectional may seem easy, but you need to have the extra space to carry it, and then you need to devote the time to unpacking each piece and stacking them. With a single sheet, you can pack it up in a much smaller space, and it's quicker to deploy or pack away.
Excellent stove! I paid close to $400.00 for a far inferior unit because the comparable ones were astronomically more expensive! It's good to see the price has come down. They're so good I might have to spend again, for the better product
@@GrizzlyGaz that looked a cosy wee stove, more so when it got dark with dinner & coffee on the go 😋 & the flames 🔥 fendy was loving the heat coming out of the back, can't wait to watch the HOT TENT ⛺️ ......Thx Gaz
That won’t happen as long as there is heat in the stove. The warm air rising up the (crappy) chimney will always draw air in any cracks on the heater. Combustion gases will not be able to exit. Think about the grates on the front that you open for more flame? Will CO escape there? No, because the draft caused by the heat rising up the chimney draws air in. Nothing on the heater was air tight seal when he assembled it, for the same reason. Air will be drawn in every crack. I’m a gasfitter. Combustion 101.
Thanks for the stove info in this Video Gaz much appreciated mate; Iv been wanting a folding titanium wood stove for ages but couldn't ever afford one until seeing the one in your video. I clicked the Link & have Ordered one, I cant wait to get it, I'm well happy with what Iv seen with yours & if mines the same Ill be over the moon; I paid £155.40 but still very very happy as the woods walker is £100 more. Awesome find, Thanks Gaz.

Lovely looking stove and an amazing price even with delivery to UK! The ash does work a treat for cleaning and the detector is a must.Well said. Pomoly do some good rolling vids of the flu for doing alone and they seem to retain the shape once burnt in. More like how you used to roll wrap a present of a bottle of wine before bottle bags were invented!! 😄 Hopefully the next time it will be a doddle!

Thats impressive especially with the spark suppressor built in .Might get one for my place ,if it gets bloody cold be ideal for heating a shed in Winter.
Impressive. Hopefully you get quite a few uses out of it. Not bad at all for around $120 shipped. On another note, it's half past 10pm here in the US and all of a sudden I have a hankering for a spam sandwich.

Thank you so much for this review video, I think this is a perfect size for my needs. Great video yet again! I love it when you get giggles, and your relationship with your doggo.
That's a great price for a Titanium stove. I would have liked to have seen an ash grate in it, I'm not over keen on the roll up chimney as they seem a bit of an hassle, compared to the section ones. Although you made the rolling part look easy. Look forward to seeing you use it on a camp.👍
Im surprised by the price for what you get too, thats why i would never buy it. There MUST be something fishy here, maybe i would put this in my tent trusting my sleepy ass to wake up in time when this thing falls or breaks down and puts my tent and my sleeping bag on fire but i would never put this in the tent of my parents
Pretty sure this is just stainless steel, not titanium. Or maybe the chimney is titanium, at most? Pretty sure the upstream links would be advertising this as a titanium stove if it was titanium, it'd cost a lot more, and would be lighter. Not to mention I think it'd be more colorful once heated.
Quality stove Gaz ,I got a similar stove for £112 earlier in the year .I had been wanting one for few years but too expensive then spotted some on ebay ,could not believe the price ,absolute Quality well made up with it ..👍🏻..

get an addon hot water tank on the full metal side then you can melt snow for hot water as needed ... it also gives yu a warming try as it's top ;) .... one thing I find with those metal bar legs s they dig into the ground or undersheet ... so a pair of wooden feet of metal lengths to go on the ground side between the legs feet will keep them from sinking n and provide a place to add n metal walls for an oven under the stove ... for Pizza or bread ;) put the stove on a griddle over a fire and its a great hot oven
You're pretty cool mate, like going on your walk abouts with you. I'm glad to see you taking your best friend with you too. I'm here in The USA 🇺🇸. Take care of your little mate.
If the power goes out in winter and you have this you can cut a piece of non flammable metal or cement board to fit in an open window and run the chimney outside to keep warm. You can burn all your junk mail and anything you have available
Is this made out of pure Ti or a Ti alloy do you know? I ask, because a lot of Ti alloys don't hold up well to high heat--they start to get very brittle. Pure or nearly pure Ti is great though for high heat applications. Edit to add: I clicked the link. It is not titanium, it is stainless steel, which would partially explain the weight for the size. A Ti stove that size would weigh a couple pounds less (at least). I have an all Ti stove (no glass) that is larger and weighs only around 3 lbs.
Nice looking , easy to assemble stove . Not a bad price for something lightweight. Fendyl sure enjoyed laying next to it ..😊 . Can't wait to see it being used while the two of you go camping. Stay safe out there.
Makes the BEST pie crusts, cookies, and other pastry. My grandmother used it for all her baking until the TV started pushing vegetable fat like Crisco, and Fluffo.
Good do you get the ask out while the fire is burning... There does not appear to be an ash tray or pan to make that yeah easier and there looks like there is a 2cm lip below the door entrance.

I was just going to make the very same comment it would roll up nicer as well....
It's shite.
Doing it that way the rings wouldn't stop it from just springing back into itself and it would be half the length.

except for a thin wall telescoping chimney the one they send is hard to be for compactness and light weight

Great review, friend . Just love your dog.! Hats off to you, good sir from America in North Carolina
It definitely has the Fendy stamp of approval. Great video and tutorial, thanks.
You can see flame inside the stove at the chimney joint, a possible monoxide leak into the cabin space.
Also the top of the window panel. I wouldn’t trust it in an enclosed space at all.
That won’t happen as long as there is heat in the stove.
The warm air rising up the (crappy) chimney will always draw air in any cracks on the heater. Combustion gases will not be able to exit.
