Cheap Hot Tent: Cheapest I could find, first look at bargain tent.

- Looking through Amazon and EBay I stumbled across this wee bargain. The Top Lander Tepee Hot Tent, at £60 was worth a gamble. It has the snow skirt I was looking for to minimalise draughts and the double door is a bonus. Will see how it gets on when used in anger.

I would always take additional pegs and para cord when camping especially with a brand new tent that is cheap !
That’s why I do a trial pitch first. See what’s what and get familiar with the gear. The tent worked ok in the rain and wind. Ok for a cheapy 👍

Manchester here 😊 yeah thats the problem with the uk and camping no matter where you go you are always likely going to see other people even if you do your best to stay hidden iv been all over the uk with my tent and always saw other people. I used to live in America and trust me there you have noooooo issues finding somewhere where you could spend your life and never see a single person again thats the difference between the UK and most other countries 😅
Turns out I know the two guys , both local mountain bikers. One seen my Facebook page and commented they were out looking for a bike part they lost 🤣
Dude, was looking at that very same item myself. Was so cheap I nearly bought it but I'm after at least a 2 man. That's a great deal though and will be well worth it, will check back when you get the home fire burning, nice work
Cheers. Worth it at £60, all the functionality is there. Pegs might be poor in harder ground but they can be replaced for little cost, at least there are some spares. Shame you need bigger, hope you find something
Seems like a nice tee pee style hot tent. I see the seller has no more of them when I clicked on the link. Of course, I am in the USA and not sure if they would ship to the USA. Thanks for sharing and look forward to seeing if you use it in a future video with a stove. I have to get me one, I was sent a DEERFAMY tent stove to review, which I did, but I have no hot tent. So now the search is on. Again, thanks for sharing.
Ah, yes UK Amazon/Ebay different. The same tent appears now and again sold by different manufacturers. That’s good you’ve got a stove to try, it’s the expensive bit 👍

I too have the Smokey Hut, which I use with a 'Hexpeak V4A'' inner, and with a few tweaks it works well.
The tent you have here looks better value, and more robust perhaps, what with the included stove jack, skirt and heavier polyester material.

Cheers. The video was taken on the west side of Loch Eck. I’ve since posted another video of this tent in the wind and rain. I also bought the inner for this tent that should go in the Smokey Hut. I’ve also added shock cord ties downs to the inner loops of the Smokey Hut, see if it creates a skirt effect next time I use it. Thanks for watching 👍

Id be concerned about the zipper not having a storm flap on it im interested in knowing if it leeks or not as iv been looking at this tent on Amazon for the last few months

Yes most are expensive. Some cheaper but the trade off is weight and maybe build quality.

Thanks for subscribing 👍 The stove is a Pomoly Traveller 3. Tent is back on Amazon but 70 quid now. I had the tent and inner out yesterday for a trail pitch. Allows the tent to be used all year round with the big mesh inner and bathtub floor. Will upload the vid later this afternoon 👍

Whats the weight of it ?
Advertised at 2.7kg but on my kitchen scales 2.3kg. The inner tent will be extra on top of that.
