Looks Awesome Chris, I'm glad to see a video that shows just how much work goes into a complete all over paint job. I am a body shop owner and its impossible to describe the amount of labor involved.
Very impressive! Much nicer than the $800 paint job the previous owner did on my car. I'll be redoing mine this winter hopefully. Curse of the black notch 😫
Careful with fumes..guy down the street from me just lost over 50k mustang.150k plymouth road runner and most importantly ( his life ) gas leak and welding. always have proper ventilation
That came out pretty darn good considering your work environment. I would have several recommendations that you probably already know reguarding painting a metalic in those circumstances.
Looks good man. Those bumpers can be tedious. I use upol high build primer and dolphin glaze. It’s a little more than the stuff you used but it’s way easier to work and sand with. The fish eyes at the bumper you thought you had were mostly likely an adhesion issue. Bully dog or adhesion promoter on the bumpers will take care of that. 👍
Could you share some details about the Sata gun? Really nice atomization and not much overspray in the air. Also seemed to have decent air consumption. All in all an awesome paint job…well done!
Another nice job 👌.. Hey, man. I'm trying to get a hold of you to get my car in your schedule... I have to put a deposit and lock in my space. Let me know.
Earned yourself a subscriber. Awesome vid. Polyurethane bumper product question already answered, but what was happening with that prep? Dremel and a carbide bur to "V" the poly before the filler went on? Appreciate your informative vids. Thank you.
Turned out great really like that color .. how did u like the high tech paint ? And what clear did u use.?.. I’m looking at the high tech ebony black to spray my dodge charger.. just wondering how u liked using this product.? Nice work guys
Nice. I have a 92 hatch saleen clone kinda lol. It's jewel green sunroof great leather 80k mile car. Great car. Question, I want to keep it pushrod, I'm been looking at the blueprint motors new 347 sbf design with sniper 2? That kinda the question rebuilding a factory block or a 4 bolt blueprint. I would like your opinion. Drop in sounds cool. I dig your content. Keep it coming. Would appreciate any advice, I live an 1.5 hrs s.e. of Austin, so not too far away. ??
If your high build isnt covering over 180 scratchs then you deff jeed to switch primers. My high build litterally covers 80 scratchs without a worry... doesnt shrink back imto them either. Mines also a High solids tho not no hi tek
I hope you follow up with, another video showing everything assembled!

Nice work! It amazes me how me how much paint is now. Just got a quote for a gallon of the ford color I need was $1200 a gallon 🤦♂️

Looks like all turned out really good !
Great work. Especially dealing with the insects, heat and humidity.
Amazing job! It's hard enough in a fully functional body shop. Glad you guys were able to save her!
This shows why a good paint job cost so much. All the man hours that go into it is crazy.
The body prep work is like 90% of a good paint job.
Dude. Amazing. Love to see it you guys bringing this cobra back to life!! Killer job!!!
Appreciate that coming from the Teal Cobra Benchmark
This is an amazing video Chris! Great job on the Cobra. It looks awesome.

That was a crack repair so yes I did a V and then used a 2 part epoxy to repair it.. unfortunately I didn't get it on video.
I have a 91 GT I want to start restoring.
Put it together now and let's see if all the pieces match
Just wondering what brands you would recommend for body filler, primer, clear coat and degreaser?
That's a very nice color. What's the name of that teal paint color
Turned out great really like that color .. how did u like the high tech paint ? And what clear did u use.?.. I’m looking at the high tech ebony black to spray my dodge charger.. just wondering how u liked using this product.? Nice work guys
Only used the primer and the clear. Both worked really well
Hi what time of product paint you used?

@TheInfamousProject
Very interesting answer. Thank you btw. My eyes have been opened to a proper alternative. Thanks again.
What would a job like that go for.. 20g - 30g..?

You both did a fabulous job. 👏 Better than Maaco paint jobs. 🤪
LMAO... I'd hope so! They barely even wiped your car down or masked it lol
Was it originally black? Or was it teal? I’m new here!
It was black originally
Under $2000. What were the material costs? Did that amount include tape, plastic, sandpaper, and all prep materials?
Yes... But not labor, compressor, paint gun.
@@TheInfamousProject Very nice.
Honestly in some cases seam seal destroys vehicles
Ya it can trap moisture and make for a bad time.. some people remove it all
What's under the cover
djlb7358 Another car.
@@lilorbielilorbie2496 what kind
