    Very informative, but you neglected to mention that if you wear wigs long term, it will eventually damage your edge's. The band causes friction that leads to thinning edge's.

    • @FineNaturalHairROCKS
      @FineNaturalHairROCKS  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Real Talk! Thank you so much for checking out this video. You're 10000% right that long-term wig use can break off/damage fine and fragile edges. I should've mentioned that I only ever wear half wigs for this precise reason and I never use the additional band at the back. Great comment btw!!! 💛

    • @Hizwife
      @Hizwife ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're exactly right unless... You wear a wig band, which is what I wear around my hair line underneath my full wigs. They will keep your wig from moving around and will also completely protect your edges.

    • @FineNaturalHairROCKS
      @FineNaturalHairROCKS  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Hizwife This is solid advice and I'm so here for it! I will keep this in mind if I ever change my mind about full head wigs... I just worry that the band makes the wig sit too high and I also worry that it's not fully secured if it's only being secured to my scalp with just the suede band ... :S

    • @Hizwife
      @Hizwife ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FineNaturalHairROCKS the suede band against the hair is what makes it stable, there is absolutely no movement, you could shake your head back and forth as rough as you can and that wig is not going to budge. It lays flat against your head, there is no bulging underneath the wig.

      In terms of sewins, they can be a great protective style depending on how they’ve been installed and how long you’re keeping them in. I would say, lean in to full head sewins as opposed sewins with leave outs, because the leave out has a tendency to break off.. I hope this helps! 💛

    I know how to flat twist, but I am horrible at the takedown! I love the way it makes your hair feel along with regular twists but it gets messy in the back of my head, which a lot of people will not show you the back of their hair, and now I know why! Hahaha. I want to get better with it though.

      LMAAAOO! It's so true that many TH-camrs will do styles on camera but never ever show the back! I also think its important for us to not only care for our hair; but enjoy it, and be creative with it, as much as we possibly can.
      I'm not the best with braiding/twisting my own hair either but they say practice makes perfect so that will be the next goal for myself here on Fine Natural Hair ROCKS.

      @FineNaturalHairROCKS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Meluxia, thank you for checking out this video; I really appreciate it! 💛
      To answer your question, crochet braids are not bad at all. In fact, they can be a great protective style for fine natural hair so long as they are not installed in a tight manner.
      Congratulations on your baby!!! 🎉 I've heard a lot of women concerned with hair loss after baby. The best advice that I have is to follow up with your doctor and consider using as minimal manipulation as possible through protective styles with your own natural hair. The flat twists are an option, as well as medium sized twists. I hope this helps 🙏🏾

      Hey Beautiful! I purchase my wigs from quite a few different places; particularly depending on if they're synthetic or human hair. What price range are you looking at? Typically, human hair wigs are more expensive wheras synthetic blends tend to be cheaper but do not last as long.

      @@FineNaturalHairROCKS I definitely want a human hair wig. I want one that's not so thick and doesn't look too wiggy, preferably kinky straight. I'm willing to spend more up front so it will last for awhile.
