- James is feeling very good in his groovy ski sweater, it has sparkles! It takes Batgirl a couple of minutes but she soon realizes who she's talking to. Dig James' fancy foot work...Mick Jagger did! James Brown skiing...? Hmmm.
All I keep thinking about in this scene is from "Get on Up" is the part where he says, "I'm at a honky hoedown!" 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂👏👏👏👏👏my favorite part
I swear
Yea😂😂😂😂😂 rest in peace godfather of soul
I feel the same way as you do.😁😁😁😁😁
I quote that all the time. One of the best parts of the movie.
only James Brown can wear a Christmas sweater and still look cool
Better the Michael Buble ever will. 😂🤣😅
😂🤣😂😂😂
No… no he does not
Still decisively less insane than most of his stage costumes.
And he managed to be stylish in all of them.
You can easily tell that Michael Jackson was greatly inspired by this man
Michael himself said that many times ❤
He had his own original dance moves, moving his feet like that back and forth like a shuffle and his voice didn’t sound like anyone else! He was a great performer!
The Godfather of Soul and Funk!
RIP James Brown
Duh
....Although, He went to the Crossroads too.
1965
Back in the Fifties and Sixties, NOBODY called James Brown the “Godfather” AT ALL !! That was a 70s-80s thing.
In the Fifties and Sixties, we called him “MISTER DYNAMITE !!”
@@williamg2552 Your Right.
The baddest man on two feet
Righteous DMH and sometimes on 1 foot when he chooses lol
Righteous DMH nah. Usain bolt
Say that man!!!!!
You rang?
DAMN RIGHT BRO!!
RIP Chadwick Boseman. He crushed the James Brown movie.
FOH no the didn't
Now I know where MJ got those foot moves from
Him and Prince loved James Brown
1965
How many people sprung their ankles trying to do the James Brown jig? I would definitely be in a cast if I tried. What a legend
I was 11 when I first saw this in the movie theater with my big brother. In 1965 you didn't see a lot of black people on screen. We were both blown away by his performance and became instant James Brown fans!
What a great comment for this video.
What film is this?
David Silva ski party
I'm sure you did.👏👏👏👏👏👏
We know why
Hardest working man on earth, saw him in concert and got his autograph.
If anyone’s wondering, this clip is from the 1965 film ski party, it’s a pretty good flick
"In 1965, this was the sound."🔥
"Ohhhhh hell no! I'm at a honky hoedown! Gots to figure out a way to flip this." -Chadwick Bozeman as James Brown in the movie "Get on up"
Power of music
Both white & black under same roof enjoying themselves🥺❤️
Man as a sax player even in 2022 that bass baritone sax is absolutely killing it
James Brown could be a great boxer with his amazing footwork skills !
He was
He was when he was a kid
I believe that was his first love and he was going in that direction until he realized he also had an amazing voice.
@Ike Dyson Good point
I bet Butterbean will knock him out
wow amazing foot movement like dancing on the wind
You got that right
Skating with skates
Yup no wonder he was a golden glove champ
1965
Though my folks were already grown when this came out, I still thank you God that I was not alive in these times. The agony of racism and ostracism was REAL.
Respect to Chadwick Boseman who played James Brown. Killed it.
1:48 dude in black hoodie on the right hitting the dab lmao
Lol 😂😂😂
I believe that was a time traveler sending us a message.
Damn the Migos need to give that man his money😂
😂😂😂
He was doing a deodorant check on the low
I saw James Brown in concert when I was a senior in high school...(Jersey City Roosevelt Stadium) Two years before his death I was his opening act. Have an autographed album...24 James Brown's Greatest Hits...looking forward to the movie about his life starring Chadwick Bosman (42) as James Brown.

Hi Jerry, don't know if you'll see this, I'm just wondering what you thought of the movie? I just watched it myself...
@@jeffrey1261 I'm not Jerry but the movie did a great depiction of this scene for sure

JAMES BROWN WAS DA BADDEST OF DA BADDEST, NO DOUBT. THAT'S 4 SHOR !!!!

It’s humbling to watch this scene and remember that both James and Chadwick are gone 🥺

He brought heat during the winter. A bad man.
Who gonna talk smack about James Brown? Nobody. GOAT.
I love you James Brown!!!
Bat Girl and James Brown. What a combo.
My older brother and I sat up all night watching this movie, just to watch Mr. James Brown. My mother tried to make us turn off the tv and go to bed. Then we saw this ending of the movie with my mother. She said that they sure did take their dear sweet time, to show Mr. Dynamite, James Brown, James Brown! … Then she told us to get our Ass’s to bed. My brother and I waited all night, just to watch James Brown perform. The late late movie was the last show on television. Then off went the television, by (Mom!) I’ve never forgotten about how long it took to show Mr. James Brown in this bit piece. Thank God that my brother and I, stayed up for the entire movie. Did you see the future (Batgirl) Wow!
“You can call me Mr. Brown” lmaoo that’s tellin’em James demand your respect ✊🏾
It's no illegal being so talented?
The best dancer in the history of music.
And....then along came PRINCE .
He inspired the best dancer, the King himself, Michael Jackson.
@@cab587 and then.....along came PRINCE !!**"
@@davidhott6395 Prince? Loool take off your fanboy goggles sir
He was so damn smooth. He made it all look effortless.
3:21 that split though
This was a good cross over opportunity for James and the Flames. Much of the music was segregated back then. Believe it or not this was progress that people take for granted today.
It was his first big hit on the White charts reaching #3 in December 1965. He had white hits before but not Top 5 ones. He had, had dozens of hits on the Soul charts and had big selling albums, this song really sold him to a white audience. JB luckily did not care so much, he was helping his people, which was great. His music of the late 60s and 70s was much more conscious.
I believe it
Progress? Didn't you notice not one person in the audience is African American. All white, rich and pretty "America" being entertained by a servant.
@@Moneytane1976 matter of fact Papa Got A Brand New Bag was his first hit on the pop charts which it reached #8 it also won his first Grammy award
@@Moneytane1976 as a matter of fact it was this & his 1963 Live at the Apollo album which reached #2 on the pop charts that helped sell him into the white audiences
Today’s talent cannot match this!
James Brown was my second concert I went to in my life. I was 11 years old. It was when this was released. We were standing on our seats the whole time!
The energy from this man was unbelievable. What a presence! Grew up in Michigan & on Motown (and the British invasion). The 60's /70's were the Golden era of R& B (in my opinion) Wore out the records!
Thank you James Brown for an incredible time!!!
The 70's are and always will be the best decade in music history! So much different styles of music were produced and the production level was so high back then, that even today they struggle to reproduce that high quality of sound!!

Chadwick nailed this part in Get on Up!!
Glad to finally find this music video performance. Imagine James walking up on Chadwick and those two clowning around. Wait till Hammer gets up there, they're gonna tear heaven up.
