Thanks a lot for having me fellas, it was a blast!
Someone has to beat these guys, we can't keep letting the house win!
This just shows that a world class fitting can only do so much! He would have gotten more with lessons from Ian!
Adaptive players have so much respect from me. This game is hard enough let alone being at a wee disadvantage right from the get go. I'm genuinely curious to have seen an up close shot of how he grips it with the right hand.
Thanks Mike! Got into golf in 2021, I go a bit strong with the right hand and then my 2/5ths left hand is also pretty strong and kinda wraps over a bit
Huge respect for Ben. Love this series.
👏🏼👏🏼
Very interesting 👌 I have a friend in a similar boat... we put him in a 5R shaft and D head. It took a couple of range seasons to calm the overswing, but he's cruising now...
Love the series!! I would probably be one of the few who would actually choose putter!
I’m curious why when he said he loves his 3 wood and the Ventus S flex shaft you didn’t even try the same shaft in the driver?
Didn’t watch the full video but maybe he was using a stock non velocore?
as an 18 handicapper as well, i'm jealous of your swing speed ben! hahaha Don't stop playing bud! Grats on getting on the show! :D Cheers
I’m always intrigued by different types of swings and how you maximize the output. Great work gentlemen!
I could see with a small change to Ben’s initial alignment could help with his out to in path. I noticed in all of Ben’s set ups, his front foot is further back possibly being an attribute of the out to in path, and with the swing path just following his body line. Also with such a steep attack angle was a higher tee height, or moving the ball slightly more forward in his stance discussed?
I am sure this was actually quite a long session overall, but in a future episode could you go through the whole process of the fitting including any set up changes to the swing itself and not just the club, with the before and after data. I volunteer as tribute.. haha
I agree with you, 100%.
great fitting video gents, Ben did amazing under the pressure of a camera recording every swing.
Another great fitting guys! With Ian’s and Mikey’s expertise it’s gonna be tough to beat the house. I’m not betting against them.
A few setup changes and this guy could be single handicap. Pretty good swing nice weight transfer
Great stuff fellas, but I will say… you cannot beat my fairway woods. I play a stealth 2 plus 3-wood with a tsi2 7-wood. They are just perfect.
Guys, what about club head speed X 2.7? He was approaching 250 yards nowhere close to 270 yards. I am guessing that we may not have been privy to some obstacles.
That metric is for optimal swing/launch conditions, They literally spent the whole video trying to get closer to that, but obviously, even with the progress, 3-4k spin isn't optimal, and 7 degrees of launch with negative attack angles also, aren't optimal. 250 is a good improvement.
I can’t wait to get fit with you gentlemen! That would be a dream come true!!!
Incredible... Great session. Great series
How do I sign up for this? I got a AI Smoke Triple Diamond and a Hzrdus T1100 6.5
It’s around $1000 for Ian to fit you into clubs
Lot's of respect to you Ben, and I'm sure you know this, but you have to get that path more neutral or a bit in to out, and you need to hit up with the driver. No fitting is going to lower your scores as much as getting your swing in order. I struggled with this for years, and once you get it down, you will enjoy this game so much more.
Peter Griffin has some meaty speed
That Sim Max was Grinding his Gears😂
Seeing as the time I visited the Scarsdale location I was told I won’t be fitted, I like my odds!
This fella would be a good candidate for the Big Bertha 23 driver
Who really cares about the rest of the bag, let the big dog eat 😂
Just keep this series at drivers. Plus, a properly fit driver is probably the biggest gainer in the bag
What the heck? We only doing guys who hit backwards?😜
Pick me up lol from California would be interesting.
I live in Glasgow and would love to see what the numbers are on my clubs. I have a diamana blue board 70x. Nike Vapor pro driver head. 10 year old club. 3wd is also a Vapor pro. Have an Adam’s driving iron, not sure how old. I have the vapor blades 4-pw with dynamic gold s300. Think the spin rates on all my clubs, bar my 3wd is too high.
Get yourself booked in to see you guys Joe and Dane in Glasgow, they’ll get you sorted.
Why not try 10.5 in qi 10 LS with that shaft or triple diamond max 10.5? I think you found the shaft he was happy with but gettong your launch and spin windows seemed to be a struggle....
Out of curiosity, why no cobra offerings?
Volunteer myself. Will come from New Jersey
Mike fitted me a few years back on my P790’s be interesting if he can beat his own fitting!
I would like to have seen Ventus Red Tr in the Callaway Head
He kept asking about the TSR2, why not let him try it?????
@@dronepocket325they let him try tsr3
@@dronepocket325wrong AGAIN!!!
Ben was talking about his fairway wood that he enjoys. He was keen to try a shorter length shaft which we did, but didn’t help much.
Would love to see him strengthen that left hand grip like Daly had and get the path a little more in to out.
Bruh
It's slippery 😂
The grip was stretched out we realized it was slipping around the shaft, I thought the head was going to come off
I just thought it was funny, happens to me a lot been thinking about switching to the grip mast grips
I am not sure anyone can fit a strike pattern like that. That needs to be fixed first. I am playing Sim2Max right now and it is a bit spinny. Center trike I get about 2600, I have to move it up about 10 mm to get about 2000 and it works nicely then
I’m shocked that he is playing an extra stiff golf shaft . I swing a lot faster than this and I’m using a regular flex counter balance I hit the ball about 280 yards .
Someone add some tilt to the setup at address
he's a big guy, big guys tend to shift their bodies forward during the swing causing them to hit down on their drives. stop shifting forward and focus on shifting up and back
I'd take this bet on beating my taylormade mini I built myself
Something's on one of their faces
