Bryson, I have been a golf fanatic all my life and I have seen more Majors than I can count, including all of Tiger"s wins. I must say that your win at Pinehurst was the most amazing scrambling round of golf that I have ever seen. It would be a super win if you were always on the short grass just ripping it down the middle on every hole, but you had to manufacture so many amazing shots from everywhere that this win stands out to me as just INCREDIBLE. i recorded the telecast and have watched this video a couple of times already but it won't ever get old. Keep up the GREAT entertainment!
You have to swing pretty hard at a 55yd bunker shot and if you hit it thin, its in the clubhouse. Heavy and its a 30 ft. par putt. and its 72nd hole of a U.S. Open . Big Ballz shot.
Yes I am a huge Rory fan but told my son before that shot that if Bryson got it up and down from there he deserved to win. Incredible shot. 5 was the most likely result from that bunker, but 6 was more likely than 4.
I started learning golf about 5 months ago and immediately began to love it. There is so much to golf that I never realized and watching Bryson’s videos has been a huge help. A few of my coworkers told me that he is very unorthodox but I’ve watched almost every beginner golf video out there and I’ve been able to learn and apply what he teaches. My drive usually goes high (working on fixing the slice) and I really like how he putts. So I’ve adopted that style and it works great for me.

Way to go Rory.
The most presure ever for both players. Rory to win after 10 years and Bryaon to win after a letdown at the PGA major. The putt Rory had was very hard. Left to right down hill. Ask Gary McCord about his 4 putt at the Senior US Open on the 3rd hole of the old course. That was just nerves for Gary. Rory felt he made it for sure. Putting gets harder when there's breaks and a downhill slider. The place to chip to was to have a up hill putt no matter what. Then it's more makable. Bryson Bunker's shot was the best in the history of golf. The root and tree branch was his dad testing his practiced skills over the years. His dad was there the whole time. Well done, Bryson! Class act with the fans. That makes such a big difference in golf. The USGA is proud of your representation, too, golfs history. You just made the USGA notch higher in standings in the golf world. Congratulations, Sir. Bryson. Applauds to you and your family and the USGA for a great golf event.
Thanking the greens keepers was such a class act move! You could tell that group was really touched by the fact that the champion took time to mention them. I love Bryson, what a guy!
@@theguersteind9797 I said the same thing. It's one thing to not congratulate the winner after a normal PGA event, but in a Major. Yeah, had it been reversed Bryson would have gone directly to Rory to congratulate him no doubt, as he proved it with Xander at the PGA Championship.
I’m just saying, we all know how devastating this is for him, but he needed to man up and shake Bryson’s great job you’re the champion. I don’t think that is too much to ask, especially in a sport that is known for being a gentleman sport.
Rory definitely left himself with a very tough putt. I’ve had that very same putt and it’s outside the hole from 3 ft. Feel bad for Rory but super happy for Bryson!!
There's two interesting "what-ifs" to me here. Rory could see Bryson plonk it on the #17 green; not an easy putt but relatively flat and definitely makeable. Does Rory still pull driver if he hits first? You would wonder if he felt like he had to try to give himself a birdie chance on 18. Secondly if Bryson hits his drive on #18 into the fairway, I wonder if Rory makes his putt - a slider like that is in some respects easier if you feel like you have to make it and just power it in. But with Bryson under a tree and having better odds at making 5 than 4, then all of a sudden you have to play defensively because you don't want to give things away by 3 putting. Things like this are part of what makes golf great. So much of it is played between the ears.
Both your scenarios is what got Rory in trouble. He cannot, just cannot, add more things to think about heading to the final stretch of the back nine. Even 1 bogey should have reset his focus to just one shot at a time and not think what the player behind him is doing. He got greedy instead of playing each hole with perfect focus. The simple mindset should have been his strategy. Get on the fairway and on the green in regulation. He did not have to muscle that driver on the final hole and put trouble in play. Michele Wei on winning her only major said on the final hole she pulled a 3 wood instead of a driver because she knew her adrenaline was on high and would probably muscle her driver to trouble. She was right, her 3 wood went further than her driver but remained in the center of the fairway. The longest 3 wood she ever hit. Rory has been marketed as the most talented player in Golf because of his beautiful swing. But majors is not about beautiful swings Its the whole package of mental and physical talent. Rory cannot even be on the same level as Tiger because as an elite of the elites, he cannot go 14 years without a major in his prime. Bryson has 2 Majors in the last 4 years.
What a great win by DeChambeau and his team. I really wish PGA Tour and LIV Golf could find a way to be best of friends. The golf world needs this to happen.

@@MarkEWallace IT'S HIS JOB
@@jdheelfan Verne Lundquist gives a “Yes sir!” and the world considers it one of the great calls ever. Relax.
PONY UP!
Thanks for this highlight... just what I was hoping for....⛳🏌️
It's crazy how much noise these gen z kids are making while Bryson is lined up about to make a huge putt. Mind boggling to me.
What was up with R Mc? Ismi5 just me or was that rude.
Most of people blamed Rory for not congratulating to Bryson. Think about playing 18 holes and missing a few really short putts. His brain was blank after those and it’s normal for people in general
13:35 POV: the group in front of me on every green
Take a good look at the ball flight of the ball out of that bunker and the way the ball landed and hoped towards the flag - you could swear there was some unseen force guiding it - if so then it was Bryson's father.
After watching this guy with Trump I'm a bigger fan
Brutal to watch 20:51
I thought the bunker shot was pretty well done.

USA chants when Rory missed. 🤦♂️
😂
So un cooth ...makes us who respect the whole of the game. Look bad....
Low balls.
@@adamkondracki3201 I thought it was funny.
@@InjunJoe-sh7wn It sounded about like three idiot drunks. Pathetic on so many levels. Credit to Pinehurst crowd that nearly all of the USA chants were worthless on Sunday.
THIS FINISH PROVES THIS COURSE IS DEMONIC AND I WOULD REFUSE TO PLAY THERE.
Why wouldn’t Pavone putt out
Pavon was on a podcast and just said it slipped his mind and apologized afterwards (you can see it in the video after Pavon finishes his putt). Bryson said it was the right call as he didn't want to win it that way (by knowing the line).
@@alienrenders yes I wondered about seeing the line what the protocol is for that. Nice from both of them but I was wondering.
Lee Donna Miller Sarah Martinez Ruth
Rory has the mini yips. That only explanation
Rors will never win another major in his career. That part of his career is over.
Vance/DeChambeau 2028
I could watch this a million times. Just to see Rory choke !!! LUV LIV !!!!
I'll take 2.1 mil and a 2nd place any day 😂
The biggest choke in history
Bryson didn’t win it as much as Rory lost it.
No one is talking about hot BDC's tee shot at 18 hit a marshal! It would have been a lot worse otherwise. 17:30
And just like that McIroy pulls out of the Travelers Championship. All his adoring fans that bought tickets in advance just got screwed by this crybaby who took his ball and went home. Meanwhile Bryson is on The Late Show letting the audience touch the trophy reaching out to his fans. IMHFO Bryson gained a lot of fans and Rory lost a bunch of respect.
Always nice to watch Mcllroy sulk and leave. Hope it lasts for another 10 years.
42 minutes for 2 holes
Did anyone notice it takes 41 minutes to play four holes golf in pga. wtf omg.slow play is bad

Solid dude, perfect us open champion…
Louisa Circle
it's so dumb that he wasn't picked to be on the President's Cup team.

Rory lipped it, harder downhill maybe he makes it. :) . A good chip distance, but should of aimed it so he was left with an uphill putt. Anyway, that’s golf. Me I would of holed the chip, I chip it in all the time, lol.
(All these guys are great players, anyone of these guys could win it, even though they didn’t.)
Rory the choke artist
Bryson 18 drive was going out of bound if not hit older guy! 😊❤ huge help 😅😂
Nah it would have hit the wall and he woulda gotten line of sight relief, thankfully didn’t cost him 😂
wrong. he actually would have had a better shot due to relief
@@Senseisystem But if he gotten line of sight relief maybe it won't land into bunker and we don't get to see the best up and down moment in major
@@OrvinReyes your correct from the 18th tee hitting 3😖😉🫢🤔⛳️
@@LKimuraC yea wouldn’t have wished it any other way, just funny it hit the old guy as he moved 2 inches attempting to dodge the ball lol
From that moment on, rory karen quit talking shit about liv
Ball rollback will ruin golf
