I bought this exact same car and before I did I was watching this video wondering if it’s worth it or not to get a convertible and after 2 months with the car I just came back to comment here in this same video that it was absolutely worth every dollar.. the joy of driving a convertible is just something that I never experienced in any other car plus the style and quality of BMW is just something else. I also have to mention that I live in Miami which is probably the best city to own a convertible and I really use the top open 95% of the time, the other 5% is just when it rains. If you have the chance just buy it.

My wife likes more than I do. Handles great and accelerates well enough for me, but I'm not interested in going 100+ or laying rubber.

Hunter178 Depends on the car. Many will let you accelerate but the roof will stop moving and a load of audible alarms/flashing lights will go off until you slow back down.
Do you have an opinion on choosing between 2 Series Convertible and Miata Mx-5 Club? I understand they different cars, MX is a roadster ... but I see a lot of folks confused between the two cars. Let us know how you think. Thanks

And Eco is the way forward you really are a moron if you don think technology should constantly improve to allow cars to be more fuel efficient and if that means an auto then who cares. I never understood the point of wind deflectors in convertibles. I removed mine and put it in my garage as soon as I got it home after purchase. Isn't the whole point of a convertible to have the wind in your hair?

What I always wonder what happens when you are driving under 30mph, open the roof and then accelerate. Can you accelerate? Does it stop or goes back?

BMW interiors haven't changed much in the past 10 years. The instrumment panel especially and the wheel still look the same.
