The UK has one of the best climates for convertibles - especially the South of England - in the South of Europe they place more importance on air con for some strange reason 🤣
The Evoque should've had a more fun engine. Would've been awesome. Off road with them isn't too outlandish if you're on the Costa del Sol and what to get to some beach on the Tarifa-Cadiz coast.
Id swap the mx5 for a fiat 124 spider, the A3 for a TT, bin the evoque completely, go for an E class Merc over the C class, add a Boxter, and maybe an Alfa Spider or a Volvo c70 as the wild card... Mustang is fantastic though
Recently found a nicely optioned, immaculate NB Miata for pocket change. Not enough headroom with the top up, and couldn’t use the dead pedal with my shoes on. Too tall for a fantastic car- story of my life.
@@cinch Turning 70, and winding down my business. Limited to options that are serviceable and inexpensive to maintain, so German cars are off the table. Jeeps aren't nimble or fuel-efficient. Mustang, Camaro, Solara, Sebring, etc. don’t do it for me. A Caterham, Morgan 3-wheeler or Slingshot would be fun, but even less suitable. I might have to settle for something with a sunroof…
Audi I would have to say is the best all around cabriolet of the lot. Audi has been making cabriolets longer than most of the car company's in this segment. Absolutely top of the line quality and over the top luxury, and as for those petrol heads the Audi's are at the top of there game when it comes to the sports car speed and handling are second too none. JMO
I love the Audi's as well. Handle well, feel nice, and look nice. However, their electronics, like most german cars it seems, are way behind the japanese cars. To be fair, the MX5 Miata doesn't have as much electronics as an average Japanese or Korean car either. In fact the MX-5 has a dial centered entertainment center. Ugh... But then again, that's not why you're buying a convertible. Audi is discontinuing the A3 Cabriole and they are hard to find. So I'll have to see what I can find.
We feel like the engine sound takes priority in a sports car based convertible, and although the Boxter is great, it doesn't hold up to the Coyote V8 engine in the Ford Mustang
Where is the Fiat 500 Convertible ? It spanks all the other cars in actual driver space and price. And Miata does NOT have usable cup holders or usable space for snacks.
drive one and tell me then it's not a sports ROADSTER. The F Type is the nearest as both designed from the ground up. All the others on this video have just had their hard tops chopped off...
MX-5 and Jag F-type. 👍👍
How do you not have a z4 or a TT?!
Z4 is so small dude
@@amdadh8773 Small or not both of them should have been included in here.
Z4 is ugly
@@jarred4005 yes tiny mouse
@@amdadh8773 so like the mazda? 🤡
Jaguar is beaaaauuuuuutifuuuul

You can't really drive convertible when it is too hot and the Sun is frying you.
@@muitnecsa3489 exactly - doh!!! 🤣
Range rover the most ideal. Higher from the ground so you can drive om rough roads with ease and can go further in remote places
Imagine the scenery you could access! Bang on
A high riding convertible sports car? Hmm, probably not what most people want.
I'm just here feeding my delusions 😭
Don’t have to stay a Delusion brother
Definitely the A3 for me
Range rover is amazing
Hey everybody, look at me!
Please explain how you can get a 2.0 liter engine in a Mazda Miata MX-5
Mx5 is always the answer

Sounds like a dream!

Ahh man, that's sad. Have you tried a slightly larger roadster like the Z4?

Lamborghini Murcielago (Spider).
Bentley Azure.
The Audi is NOT based on a Hatchback, it's based on a saloon. Oh and the s-line version looks so much better.
The saloon is based on the hatchback lol
At least you avoided the Citroen Cactus convertible. Makes the Range Rover look good.
I didn't know they were a thing. That was the worst thing I've ever seen. Must be the second ugliest car ever.
In this order: Jaguar, Mazda Miata, Mercedes
Out of which one had more legspace on back seat
All good but that range looks like a bathtub with wheels
i personally would get the convertible porsche cayman
Evoque or F type
My best one it's Camaro cabriolet. You ain't choose it but it still my favorit one
My convertible is the best
The gt mustang absolute cracker
American muscle all the way!
Did you leave out the Lexus lc 500 because you knew it was best?
Even though it's a convertible, it's still a whole other class of car that deserves it's own full review. What do you think? Should we?

Definitely the Mustang Coyote V-8.
Gotta love a Coyote V8. Music to our ears 🥰
I have one in my truck. If it can move a truck, just think what it can do for a smaller vehicle! 🙂
where is Porsche Boxter ??

BMW 4 series hardtop convertible is the best
What do you like about it that make it the best for you?

Mercedes & Nissan Z
Dude you didn’t mention THE BMW 4 series 👎🏼
Exactly my thoughts… Spot on!🎯
Beautiful ❤❤
Your comparison dont have any sense because you forgot the Z4 M40i ...
How can you forget about bmw 4 series hard top convertible which is way better than all these convertibles 👎🏼👎🏼
Just because of the engine size is a pretty limited overview
Good Video
A3
Mustang
Good vidio
Petrol won’t fade out

Thank you, Jose 👊

Hi Francis, we'll be sure to include one in a future video! :)
Why's the sterring wheel on the wrong side???
theyre in the UK its the opposite from the US
mustang
I take it you love this one 😀
They haven’t included the BMW 4 Series convertible. Absolute travesty.
F type for me.
Living in Singapore, god damn are cars cheap overseas
Mazda or Mustang if it had louder exhaust
No BMW??
I go for mustang
That mustage or Mercedes benz
I don’t think any of them is as good as bmw Z4 M40i .
How come? What did we miss?
Do the terrible Land Rover 😂😂😂
Rather have the lexus rz500
You're watching the wrong video then

Mazda ain’t a sport car
Don’t be stupid, I’ve driven every model of MX5 and they all handle like a proper sports car unlike most of the others in the article

All the ones from the 90s are sport cars, the 2010s are not sport cars Mazda
