    I'm very fortunate in that I do not need anymore customers. I'm up to my eyes with work, so I just charge higher than average to say the least! The thing is, no one seems to be saying No Thank You ! 🙃
    Fine advice Ashley, Thank you ☘️

    I hate it when you see people on facebook asking things like "recommendations for a CHEAP plumber"... you rarely see people ask "Looking for a brilliant service plumber". That attitude just adds to the problem unfortunately.

      Yeah, some people are simply just after the cheapest price. Advertising in a variety of places can bring in different customers who are looking for a better service.😉👍🏼

    Hi Ashley.
    A great way of qualifying a prospective customer.
    Are they a golden arches type customer, or a glamburger customer. One will accept low quality cheap crap for cheap money, and the other will expect high-quality reliable service for the right price. Remember, glamburger people are used to paying for quality.

      @aemackintosh  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes indeed. Getting your marketing right shouldn’t attract more of the glam-customers.😜👍🏼

    That's a brilliant video for experience in he past I go a customer saying to clean the driveway It's 15 square metres I talk her the price was agree but the reality scenario was 150 square meters I charge more did you measures with a rubber band she say sorry I don't have much budget the customers play with you saying if you clean my driveway for free I get more customers for you as you saying talk to the customer face to face and dealing whatever is involving never give the pricing on the phone ...!!!!!

      Some people do try it on. This is where the right branding can make a difference. If you can convey a certain image it can hopefully encourage the more serious enquiries.👍🏼

    First thing I try and evaluate is…. Is this a nice person? I cannot stand working for difficult people, or people who are only price driven. Fortunately there is so much work out there that I can almost choose my customers.
    Offer an outstanding service, do an excellent thorough job, keep the customer informed and be professional. Non of which is difficult.
    The window cleaning profession seems to attract a certain type of person (not exclusively). Where I seem to have won out is that I offer a better, more reliable and professional service than many in my area.
    There are those out there who want a cheap service, and aren’t bothered with with bare minimum, which is fine. Horses for courses.
    Another thing that is worth bearing in mind is that people tend (not always) to buy people not products. Especially when you’ll be on their home property when no one is in!

      There’s a saying: people buy from people. I think that’s a big part of it. Developing relationships and a reputation.👍🏼

    How do you power your gutter vac if customer isn't in and they have no external power sources?

      I have a generator.

    Best way is to see what the general local rates are.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you’re missing the point. Despite what local rates are, what you include as part of the job brings value to your service, and how you present yourself to the customer can make a difference too. There’s more about this in my training course:
