Owned an RS, sold it after 3 year warranty was up to buy the GR. No regrets as it’s every bit as fast well up to UK legal motorway speeds and even quicker down country lanes because of the compact size in comparison to the Focus.

The GR is a beast though and punches well above its weight but juat doesn't move around as much.
That’s a shame, it is a wicked little car, that’s really does punch above it’s weight. Although I would sooner take a road trip in some thing from the late 60’s - Shelby GT500, Camaro SS that sort of thing 😎
That’d be one road trip and never again, haha. Those cars look and sound great but man we’ve come a long way when it comes to creature comforts. I've owned one & I definitely wouldn't call it a beast, Apart from a nice exshaust note it'sa cheap & nasty car built with poor quality materials, the interior is embarrassing & it's the most uncomfortable car I've owned. I was gutted but glad to sell it

@@Loong199 true in that cars like the golf and merc actually put in a drift mode the gr yaris (and other cars) still drift the old fashioned way though power bias and manual control, ford didnt invent that
The GR yaris doesn't have a drift mode. It's a proper hot hatch without any of the gimmicks modern day hot hatches have. It's an oldschool car for people who can drift without the need of electronic assistance (even though the idea of drifting an AWD car on dry tarmac is near enough impossible, and is only done properly on muddy/gravel roads) Being the first doesn't mean the best. The GR Yaris is one of the best cars we've seen for the past 10 years, never mind it just being the best modern hot hatch.

They certainly hold their own don’t they! Wicked machine for a 3 cylinder 👍🏻
