    To be a flagship killer it should cost less than a flagship and offer at least the same. So no, is not a flagship killer.

      thats true, thats why theyre currently at $600 on swappa/ebay/fb marketplaace brand new. Don't know why google thinks they can price it at $800 with a weak processor while the samsung s24+ is at $800 with the sd 8 gen3.

      for 1000$ weaker hardware then a samsung S24 that is sold for 700$ in same chassis.
      that google now put 1 year after S24 , a weak hardware in this case.
      and sells this weak hardware for a higher price the the S24 what is a flagship.
      in many therms pointless.
      the only thing what google will kill with that is your money you wasted.

    • @xiondFirst
      @xiondFirst 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ThomasNowicki-m5s it's not weaker, pixels are designed with A.I. I have a pixel and Samsung s24 ultra. I can see that A.I functions just works better on pixels. Plus they fixed the heat issue and yiu don't buy pixels at full price. You wait a few months for the price to be cut.

    • @ThomasNowicki-m5s
      @ThomasNowicki-m5s 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you see on pixel works what better then on S24?
      S24 uses cloud services = data send and recive.
      that have nothing to do with hardware on any way.
      on devices at moment near nothing is on hardware, so wep apps have with hardware nothing to do.
      the simply importand thing,
      in SD8 you get 4 times stronger NPU and 2 times stronger GPU this two parts are basicly will be used for on device tasks in future if they put somethnig in.
      weak hardware is weak hardware thats also a simply true...

    I went from Pixel 8 Pro to regular pixel 9. I LOVE this phone. it has a Killer 48MP cam. Feels So good in the hand. Still has Face Unlock. it's as good as any iPhone (and I have the 15 Pro as well).
    Plenty fast. (I don't game on a phone). At everyday stuff, it's just as fast as my iPhone 15 Pro. Unless you Zoom in and need 5x optical etc, There is No need for the pro model. This phone is the best pixel that has ever been made. (this is my 6th Pixel)

    • @vaultboy1419
      @vaultboy1419 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Pro model is not only about zoom camera. Better selfie cam, actually has a vapor chamber, better screen, more ram, uwb and the thermometer. After my 7 Pro overheated in my car while being connected to it doing basic stuff, I wouldn't trust another Pixel without any cooling tech.

    • @mbvx7
      @mbvx7 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@vaultboy1419 I never said it was better than the pro. The vapor chamber will only matter if you have an over heating problem. This isn't the 7 pro and there is no such issue on the 9.
      Do not care about a selfie cam,. I am not a narcissist that has to take pictures of myself.
      The ram makes no difference in regular daily usage. again, it's as fast as an iPhone 15 PRO. It's doing just fine with 8GB.
      12GB might matter if you are doing AI stuff or maybe gaming. I don't use either (outside of magic eraser). The default 48MP cam takes as good photos as my iPhone 15 Pro... so it's a very hard sell to go Pro over the regular phone. Stop acting like the base model is "junk" in comparison because it's not. it's a damn good phone for a good price. Those extra minor features are Not worth $200 to me. I had the Google 8 PRO that I traded in. The regular 9 is a Better phone.

    The reason I'm guessing this year Google delayed android 15 was to ensure there were no bugs on it. After seeing the train wreck of android 12 on the Pixel 6 I'm okay with giving android 15 more time. The Pixel 9 looks like the best and most premium phone Google has made yet and I'm hoping I can get one in the next few weeks.

      I agree w/ u as far as waiting to get the bugs out of AND 12 on the 6. I'm a pixel lover from my 3, 4a or 5xl, ( not sure what it was called. I've actually using the 6 until the Pixel 9, so far, I haven't gotten to use it as much as I would like. But I've watched a few reviews. I'm glad they didn't try to do too much, too soon. I am however getting used to a smaller screen, but w/ it's weight id rather have a better grip , and I like the 3 cameras in a row , which is nice to use for video stabilization. Still wish I had the 256k. But I have enough room for pix & vid on my Nikon P1000

    In order to be a flagship killer, it needs to match the competition hardware wise as well. Software alone isn't enough, take Apple for example. Their processor is always scoring more than anything else on the market whenever they come out with new iphone. It's not just their software. It's a dck move by google to match Apple and Samsung prices but not match their hardware specs. I love pixel UI but i ain't spending flagship price for software alone.

It is, therefore, a flagship, with the Pixel 9 Pros being the "ultra flagship," ergo top-of-the-line flagships. Based on the pricing of flagships, I would say the mid-range is $400-600.

    so I turned in a iPhone 11 with a broken screen with ATT and got 1050 of promotional credit towards a pixel 9 pro. there is a lot of really good deals going out there, so i got to think this is some kind of illusion pricing due to some really great discounts if you look for them. I ordered a 256 gb and expect to get a 512 due to that promotion as well, plus i qualify to 50% percent off on a pixel 3 watch if I want.
    It definitely seems like a price to barter down from and have that savings marketed.

    comes down to our daily experiences/routines, and how well the phone helps us on the daily from features we actually use. for me, I gotta stay with samsung for now due to the better audio experience overall with bluetooth and android auto. google refuses to use 3rd party enhancements which is fine. It is a deal breaker to me personally, or else i would always go pixel. I had the pixel5g - the call screening feature alone is the only thing I truly miss as we all get so many scam callers.

    Midrange processing power and storage speed certainly does not justify the laughable price of the Pixel 9 series. The camera is a genuinely great performer but only up to a point. Put the camera of the Pixel 9 Pro XL into 50Mp photo mode and try to take photos one after the other at speed and see what happens. You will notice the camera start to stumble and lag quite quickly before the capture button starts to fail to respond to inputs. This is not how any flagship should perform. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of the processing issues iceberg on the device. It really is such a shame to be honest.

    Pixel 9 Pro Xl is $599.99 at my carrier and $699.99 for the 256GB model. At the point I would say yes flagship killer. However, that is oneplus 12 territory. An actual well price flagship. So because of the chipset idk if we can consider Pixel a flagship killer yet. Just an over priced mid range phone. Now when the Pixel 8 Pro was $399.99 last year … oh ya … flagship killer.

    Battery is not easily repairable.
    With 7 years OS updates and software support, the hardware needs to be as easily repairable as the software is easily updatable.
    I'd like my money to go to the most durable and repairable hardware, with the most updates and longest software support.

    The PERFECT Flagship Killer? Not even remotely close, After two years of price hikes, Pixel now has the full flagship price, but is trying to command that flagship price with midrange specs; slow charging, 128GB, UFS 3.1, Midrange Tensor chip, slower ram than competition... Give me a break lmfaooooo. It's crazy to call anything a flagship phone at this point with specs like that. OnePlus 12 and even the 12R are giving some serious hardware for even less money.

    I can't get it out of my head that this standard Pixel 9 it's just a Pixel 8 Pro in a new chassis and a compact size, but mostly without the 5X zoom sensor and without the Pro Camera 📸 features 🤔
    And as much as I can't justify the iPhone 15 with its 60 hertz screen in 2024, I can't justify this Pixel 9 at its price with its processor at the level of processors dating back 3 years (8 Gen 1 / 8+ Gen 1 / A14) .
    And for me, iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max and S23 / S23 Plus are currently much better deals than both smartphones I mentioned above, especially the S23 Plus whose size (unlike the standard S23 and iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max) is much closer to that of the standard Pixel 9.
    And just a reminder, Gemini Advance / Live is available on all smartphones, and all these media, youtubers who are currently selling you the Pixel 9s as the 8th wonder of the world, will go back to their iPhones or switch to the next iPhone 16s, Galaxy S25s, you, you will be with a smartphone that you will not be able to change for 2-3 year, think really carefully before taking the plunge.

    By market comparison, it's nowhere near flagship. But it is a good, $1000, midrange phone to those who are fine with being ripped off. If Xiaomi made the P9Pro XL, they would sell it for $699. But people choose their masters.
