I ordered a 256 gb and expect to get a 512 due to that promotion as well, plus i qualify to 50% percent off on a pixel 3 watch if I want. It definitely seems like a price to barter down from and have that savings marketed.
comes down to our daily experiences/routines, and how well the phone helps us on the daily from features we actually use. for me, I gotta stay with samsung for now due to the better audio experience overall with bluetooth and android auto. google refuses to use 3rd party enhancements which is fine. It is a deal breaker to me personally, or else i would always go pixel. I had the pixel5g - the call screening feature alone is the only thing I truly miss as we all get so many scam callers.
Midrange processing power and storage speed certainly does not justify the laughable price of the Pixel 9 series. The camera is a genuinely great performer but only up to a point. Put the camera of the Pixel 9 Pro XL into 50Mp photo mode and try to take photos one after the other at speed and see what happens. You will notice the camera start to stumble and lag quite quickly before the capture button starts to fail to respond to inputs. This is not how any flagship should perform. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of the processing issues iceberg on the device. It really is such a shame to be honest.
Pixel 9 Pro Xl is $599.99 at my carrier and $699.99 for the 256GB model. At the point I would say yes flagship killer. However, that is oneplus 12 territory. An actual well price flagship. So because of the chipset idk if we can consider Pixel a flagship killer yet. Just an over priced mid range phone. Now when the Pixel 8 Pro was $399.99 last year … oh ya … flagship killer.
Battery is not easily repairable. With 7 years OS updates and software support, the hardware needs to be as easily repairable as the software is easily updatable. I'd like my money to go to the most durable and repairable hardware, with the most updates and longest software support.
The PERFECT Flagship Killer? Not even remotely close, After two years of price hikes, Pixel now has the full flagship price, but is trying to command that flagship price with midrange specs; slow charging, 128GB, UFS 3.1, Midrange Tensor chip, slower ram than competition... Give me a break lmfaooooo. It's crazy to call anything a flagship phone at this point with specs like that. OnePlus 12 and even the 12R are giving some serious hardware for even less money.
You can’t call Google’s flagship phone with a flagship price a flagship killer. Otherwise we should just call the iPhone and S24 Ultra flagship killers.
How the hell is this a flagship killer? Where I live, this costs 999 with tax, but I can get the regular version Samsung S24 for 675. This is just a flagship and an expensive one among them.
Google did it pixel 9 is that good , all the previous problems i had with google phones all gone , Google needs to market these phones hard apple Samsung need competition
We are going to start a new trend on having phones with AI integrated, making an excuse to use the same hardware as last year with higher prices. Photos taken with AI enabled phones are photographs that never happened.
The bots always have to tell you what phone they're coming from like, "Just traded in my iPhone 15 Pro Max for a Pixel 9 Pro XL", going back to Android.
I can't get it out of my head that this standard Pixel 9 it's just a Pixel 8 Pro in a new chassis and a compact size, but mostly without the 5X zoom sensor and without the Pro Camera 📸 features 🤔 And as much as I can't justify the iPhone 15 with its 60 hertz screen in 2024, I can't justify this Pixel 9 at its price with its processor at the level of processors dating back 3 years (8 Gen 1 / 8+ Gen 1 / A14) . And for me, iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max and S23 / S23 Plus are currently much better deals than both smartphones I mentioned above, especially the S23 Plus whose size (unlike the standard S23 and iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max) is much closer to that of the standard Pixel 9. And just a reminder, Gemini Advance / Live is available on all smartphones, and all these media, youtubers who are currently selling you the Pixel 9s as the 8th wonder of the world, will go back to their iPhones or switch to the next iPhone 16s, Galaxy S25s, you, you will be with a smartphone that you will not be able to change for 2-3 year, think really carefully before taking the plunge. 🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️

How much better the snapdragon is for what? Gaming? There are really no other discernible differences between my pixel 9 pro xl and my s24 ultra. Hell, even my 15 pro max. Day to day use, there's really no difference I can see. I don't game on my phone, so I can't really comment on that part.
By market comparison, it's nowhere near flagship. But it is a good, $1000, midrange phone to those who are fine with being ripped off. If Xiaomi made the P9Pro XL, they would sell it for $699. But people choose their masters.
It’s not even marketed as a Flagship killer. The Oneplus One was revolutionary because it had bleeding edge specs and a price that was half the price. This pixel 9 doesn’t achieve either.

And of course we're talking about Android 15 on Samsung soon. Shortly. I guess? I'm waiting for it on my S24 ultra and S9 tablet too.
How about doing a 7 v 9 comparison ? Please.
Watch the comparison Alex Dobie just did at XDA. Pretty detailed

We are all here for the same thing! 🤣
comes down to our daily experiences/routines, and how well the phone helps us on the daily from features we actually use. for me, I gotta stay with samsung for now due to the better audio experience overall with bluetooth and android auto. google refuses to use 3rd party enhancements which is fine. It is a deal breaker to me personally, or else i would always go pixel. I had the pixel5g - the call screening feature alone is the only thing I truly miss as we all get so many scam callers.
Is tensor4 really that bad compared to snapdragon?
Yes
Not even have a powerful flagship processor.
IA capabilities?
Maybe, but gross power?
This pixel 9 priced at €999 in my region, €199 difference with XL. With those mediocre chipsets that is a freaking expensive
It really is such a shame to be honest.
hope it comes down close to 600 in couple of months the it will be.
Starting at $799 plus tax isn't flagship killer for me. It's a solid phone don't get me wrong but it's far from a flagship killer.
Flagship Killer? Have you seen the price? It is flagship, well at least the price is.
Yeah, maybe if this was $400 I’d give it the title of Flagship killer.
The perfect portable cashier barcode scanner
The phone needs to be a lot cheaper to be a flagship killer I'm my opinion.
You make a great point
The PERFECT Flagship Killer? Not even remotely close, After two years of price hikes, Pixel now has the full flagship price, but is trying to command that flagship price with midrange specs; slow charging, 128GB, UFS 3.1, Midrange Tensor chip, slower ram than competition... Give me a break lmfaooooo. It's crazy to call anything a flagship phone at this point with specs like that. OnePlus 12 and even the 12R are giving some serious hardware for even less money.
bruh pixel 9 is priced at Galaxy 24 and iphone 15's territory, what do you mean by calling it a "Flagship killer"
Yeah, this is wrong. This is a flagship.
Naa is not, it just cost the same as a flagship.
@luizrodriguez1994 Yeah, I mean priced and supposed to be a flagship. Whether it is actually live up to the title is a different story.
How can a flagship be a flagship killer
It's a flagship with flagship prices, not top of line flagship though
Great video, how did you make gemini a female voice?
You can switch it easily in settings
@@Pocketnow I couldn't find it, I will look again thank you
You can’t call Google’s flagship phone with a flagship price a flagship killer. Otherwise we should just call the iPhone and S24 Ultra flagship killers.
Seriously considered trading my S24 Ultra in for the 9 Pro but the Tensor chip is holding me back.
The ultra is better over all but the pixel's design looks better
It is a flagship buddy
How the hell is this a flagship killer? Where I live, this costs 999 with tax, but I can get the regular version Samsung S24 for 675. This is just a flagship and an expensive one among them.
Google did it pixel 9 is that good , all the previous problems i had with google phones all gone , Google needs to market these phones hard apple Samsung need competition
We are going to start a new trend on having phones with AI integrated, making an excuse to use the same hardware as last year with higher prices.
Photos taken with AI enabled phones are photographs that never happened.
All these bots posting the same comments lol
The bots always have to tell you what phone they're coming from like, "Just traded in my iPhone 15 Pro Max for a Pixel 9 Pro XL", going back to Android.
Pixel 9a could be a flagship killer.
I wouldn't call it a flagship killer and most the time flagship killers are cheaper. I think the s24 is a way better buy as I have both at the moment.
I can't get it out of my head that this standard Pixel 9 it's just a Pixel 8 Pro in a new chassis and a compact size, but mostly without the 5X zoom sensor and without the Pro Camera 📸 features 🤔
And as much as I can't justify the iPhone 15 with its 60 hertz screen in 2024, I can't justify this Pixel 9 at its price with its processor at the level of processors dating back 3 years (8 Gen 1 / 8+ Gen 1 / A14) .
Yeah, I sort of noticed that too. The s23 plus is a very solid phone right now.
Enjoy pure Android with the Google Pixel 9 💯🔥💯
Bro just killed the definition of flagship
This is a flagship not a flagship killer.
Don't let the lower price and flagship features get ya!!! This is a data eating monster , and I don't mean your mobile data , I mean your personal data that Google sells , all androids doit but this one is designed to be more intrusive by controlling all apps even your personal messages go directly to their cloud ,
Paid 390€ for my OnePlus 12R which is arguably better except the camera which is ok but not flagship level
How is it a flagship killer when it’s literally a flagship itself
How much better the snapdragon is for what? Gaming? There are really no other discernible differences between my pixel 9 pro xl and my s24 ultra. Hell, even my 15 pro max. Day to day use, there's really no difference I can see. I don't game on my phone, so I can't really comment on that part.
By market comparison, it's nowhere near flagship. But it is a good, $1000, midrange phone to those who are fine with being ripped off. If Xiaomi made the P9Pro XL, they would sell it for $699. But people choose their masters.
The pixel 9 is no mid-range phone by any means.
It’s not even marketed as a Flagship killer. The Oneplus One was revolutionary because it had bleeding edge specs and a price that was half the price. This pixel 9 doesn’t achieve either.
Agree it's the best Valina Pixel ever ❤
