I’ve made the butter mochi before and it was delicious! It’s as if mochi and a pound cake had a baby👏🏻SO GOOD👏🏻. I’m drooling just thinking about it as I type this.
Made butter mochi once and I think it lasted maybe three hours in my house. We devoured it. So so amazingly good, should be a controlled substance, lol
I made her mochi ice cream. It is the easiest recipe for beginners, I think, as I previously tried to make it using a more traditional Japanese recipe. It’s messy, sticky business, but it’s worth the cleanup.

Before you started making all of these Hawaii videos, I had started thinking Hawaii might be my ideal place to live... living in Florida for the entire 23 years of my life I’ve figured out that I need to live near the beach, in a tropical, sunny area... but I LOVE how culturally diverse Hawaii is. Marukai Japanese Market in Little Tokyo also -- 1st St. and San Pedro -- in the Weller Court center nearby, because square footage and parking is such an expensive commodity in downtown, Marukai also has Larger stores in a couple communities surrounding downtown L.A. - The store in Torrance / Downey area comes immediately to mind.

my favorite mochi in all the islands!!!!!! i was just there last week and i love of their mochi but the brownie is the best and then the blue one with the white chocolate on top is my next go to flavor; all in all anything from there is great, even the shiso is great

my favorite mochi in all the islands!!!!!! i was just there last week and i love of their mochi but the brownie is the best and then the blue one with the white chocolate on top is my next go to flavor; all in all anything from there is great, even the shiso is great
