I do not own the content of this video. It's shared for retro and nostalgic purposes.
Despite earning decent ratings as part of ABC's TGIF block and frequently winning its time slot, *Just the Ten of Us was abruptly cancelled in the spring of 1990.* It was widely speculated that it was due to Miller-Boyett Productions wanting another one of their shows in the timeslot (to join fellow programs Family Matters, Full House, and Perfect Strangers) thereby dominating the TGIF block; and ABC was simply not able to find another slot for Ten.
*However, it was really a case of then ABC Entertainment president Bob Iger simply not liking the show.*
@averymerrick it was not a smart move to cancel Just The Ten Of Us when it was receiving rave reviews. Just like Gilligan's Island getting axed for no reason just because the head of CBS was more concerned about Gunsmoke.

If I was in charge at that time, Just the Ten of Us would have ran until May 1993 (three more seasons) & Perfect Strangers would not have moved to Saturday nights. In addition to having a full 7th & final season (22 episodes).
Both shows would have stayed in their original timeslots (9:30pm & 9pm).

If I was running ABC at that time, Just the Ten of Us would have ran until May 1993.
In addition to Perfect Strangers not moving to Saturday nights and having a full seventh & final season (22 episodes instead of 6).
Both shows would have remained in their original time slots (9:30 & 9, respectively); in addition to Going Places, Baby Talk, Dinosaurs, Camp Wilder & Getting By being mid-season replacements (1990-1993) for those two shows.
