@@yasharbalkhanie5467 he probably went and recorded that message as soon as he caught wind that Uranos was fired, hence the "if the sea levels don't rise, disregard everything I'm telling you". Gol D. Roger: And then he turned himself and everything else into Rubber! Funniest shit I've ever seen! Portgas D. Rouge: Didn't you mention something about the destruction of the world earlier? Gol D. Roger: Oh that. Eh, don't worry, it's not important.
I think they kept quiet because that is what the poneglyphs instruct, the ruins in shandora said: 'Keep thy motives in heart, with closed mouth. We are those who will weave history with the ringing of the great belfry.' We also don't really know what Robin knows cause she hasn't said much either.
I now like to think that the ringing belfry was not the ringing of the Golden Bell but Luffy's ringing of the Marineford bell during 2Y3D, announcing his age.
Now that I think about it that sudden Knock Up Stream saved the Shandorans in the long run. They’re high in the sky, far away from the rising sea levels, and the Government.
Looking back, I am pretty sure Roger did tell the truth to someone who did their best to carry Roger's will forward. Whitebeard, who also was riding the Ace hype train, was the one member of the Rocks crew that Roger really respected. Whitebeard's final declaration seems to reinforce this. Whitebeard seems to have been acting as caretaker, and when Whitebeard finally got a look at Luffy, something inside him clearly changed. Whitebeard emphatically told his crew to protect Luffy, which implies he immediately realized Luffy's importance, which seems to imply that when he and Roger met, Roger told him everything.
Whitebeard probably knew for sure. He knew what the Will of D was and he confirmed the one piece being real. He could only get that information from someone on the roger crew
Honestly, what can Roger do ? He's dying, his crew can't take down the WG alone Posseidon wasn't born, the Nika fruit wasn't found,.... And he can't tell everyone, the world would be in chaos Only thing he could do was kicked start the great pirate era
Yeah, if Roger told everyone the world would go into uproar. The gorosei and im would've probably brought the cleansing further, "they all know too much" kinda thing, and if that happens the chances of someone being born and becoming joyboy become a lot lower. The best thing for him to do is to make as many people as possible go out to sea, make the government have to look out for hundreds of possible joyboys, so when someone who could actually become him was born, they get overlooked and arent snuffed out immediately.
I understand why he didn't, but he absolutely could've done something. He was the king of the pirates and could've easily had enough power to not only send the world upside down by revealing it and most people would absolutely side with the person who told them the truth over the people who has been oppressing the whole world. Even if he's dead, so many people would fight for the cause
@@StuffedFlumpers But who can he trust tho ? He can't trust Garp or Vegapunk, because they work for the GW. He didn't know about Dragon. Maybe he can tell Whitebeard, but that's it Also, if he tell everyone, the world would be in chaos, many innocent people might die. The WG might kill Nepture, so Posseidon can't be born. Or they might found the Nika fruit earlier, so Luffy could never got it,.....
@@datbui6009 So first the world will be in chaos no matter what, I think that being in chaos because you're fighting for your literal freedom is a bit better different, obviously... Second, maybe his literal wife who is carrying his kid?? He obviously doesn't care much about his son, most people in this world stay on one island their entire life so it's pretty reasonable to assume that your SON wouldn't be in a good place to stop whatever is coming. But if you tell them, they can prepare. And tell the world dude. You know as well as I do that his words carry a lot of weight in the one piece world. You really think he couldn't have gotten a revolution going, or anything like that..?
My theory is that the ideological war that happened between Ancient kingdom and the Allied kingdoms was over terraforming. The Ancient kingdom advanced the technology to the extent where they had and wanted the freedom to change the one piece world the way they saw fit/beneficial. This was probably not in a nefarious way, but instead they terraformed areas to help different races and kingdoms. One of the methods might have been island/continental air cons. This could explain the erratic weather phenomena of the grand line island. They also used their DF's "recklessly" by assigning magnetic poles (using Kid's DF) to each island/kingdom so that trade was more simpler and merchants just used log poses to travel from one nation to another. They probably also created the red line and gifted the land to lunarians (their likely allies). They also created the calm belts using Corazon's calm-calm DF. All of this got other kingdoms to worry and there was an idealogical war between a freedom loving, terraforming scientists vs the conservative, nature loving allied kingdoms.
But the calm belt and all the individual islands would have come about after the war. The world was covered in continents before, until it was flooded during the void century because of the war between the world gov & ancient kingdom. It makes no sense that the ancient kingdom would have created these things like the island magnetic fields and the calm belt when they only existed after the war started
@@envytee9659 You could make the case that they accidentally created the calm belt by making a general trade route. Having a singular line across a planet having all the resources being spread to people under and above water makes for a very efficient resource route. We can also conclude pretty well that Reverse Mountain is a huge reason for the water split, but even that mountain remains unexplained. Why does the water get sucked up from the 4 blues?
What caught my attention was the fact that Kinemon had enough information about Pluton to silence Momomsuke. Means, Kinemon, was told about the Ancient Weapons from Oden. If it was moved, Kinemon knows the location.
Just had a random thought about Pluton. We know that the only naturally occuring place Seastone happens is because of Wano's Valcano, right? And now we know that Pluton is inside that mountain, right? And sea and island clouds are partly made of Seastone. So what if that's what it does? It generates Seastone and Sky clouds and that's how the sky islands form: Pluton.
Rodger laughed because he knew that he couldn't change anything at that time. Whatever he saw proved to him that the next few generations was going to bring about change. It was funny to him because he spent so much of his time and the last few months of his life trying to change the world even though he was never able.
@@Lemjanmusicand then? Total world war. He was a criminal. Without the world Gouvernement and without any form of trust from the civilians they just made Kaidos world war plan.
That’s not why he laughed. The laugh has to be a mystery. He was laughing at the one piece treasure itself. Oda is not so cheap and cheesy that he would make Roger laughing just because he couldn’t do anything about the world. That’s not deep or mysterious enough.
It was a "tale full of laughs" and Nika brought smiles to everyone around him. It was more than just laughing at the hopelessness. I can't wait to find out why they really laughed, though.
More like they the top raid team in an mmo and got to the end game about 10 years ahead of everyone else for the final event. A world level raid dungeon.
Roger didn't tell Vegapunk because he had no morals, Vegapunk worked for whoever would pay for his experiments. Roger knew they had to shut up about it, so they did. The romance dawn had to occur.
Wait. That would be great. In order to save the sinking world, you have to remove the seas. This would massively curtail piracy in the OP world. Quite a conundrum for a pirate to face.
The reason why Roger couldn't tell the world is because the WG ruined Roger's reputation completely in so much that an "evil" pirate calling the WG evil, the whole world disregards it. Even Vegapunk isn't completely believed, only reason they even give the benefit of the doubt is because he predicted the earthquakes and sea levels rising, and he has a good reputation. WG's propaganda is so powerful they even changed Roger's name from Gol D. to Gold, and the world never questioned it. A supposed terrorist cannot tell you something truthful, and the world believes it. Another reason they couldn't do anything is because as they said, they arrived too early. For example, they went to Fishman Island and learnt that Poseidon wouldn't be around in her full power for 25 year - Poseidon's role is to aid with moving Noah, she wasn't around during their era. For Roger to do something, he needed to have Posiedon, he also needed to have Momonosuke to control Zunesha when opening Wano's borders, and he needed to have the Nika Nika no Mi - he came too early, and on top of that, he was due to die, he didn't have long to live. The most important thing is if you learn the Void Century, why should the world believe you? Roger was a demon to the world, so much so his son being possibly born earned the anger and rage of people. Trust is needed and this is where Luffy comes in. How do you earn trust? By proving yourself and this is what Luffy does - he saves entire countries and then they publicly view him as a hero and trustworthy: 1. Roger went to Skypiea, there was no Enel. Luffy goes to Skypiea, there's Enel, he saves them, now they trust him. 2. Roger went to Fishman Island, didn't save them, no villain. Luffy goes there, there's a hody, now everyone wants to wear hero hats. 3. Luffy goes to Alabasta, Dressrosa, Wano... there are villains, he saves them, now they trust him. Now, when Luffy finds the One Piece, if he tells the truth, they believe him because they've experienced him being a good person and can trust him. WG propaganda doesn't work. This is why it's important for Luffy to go from nation to nation saving them, enough to garner a reputation that can't be tarnished by fake news. So, really, Roger couldn't do anything. He however did something... he started the Pirate Age so that more people could become Pirates and a Chosen D. will become a Pirate and fulfil the prophecy which is why he said maybe Ace would be the Joyboy they were waiting for. He inspired many people to become Pirates, so really, that was the only thing he could do. He used the hate the world had for him to make it impossible for the WG to easily stop people from becoming Pirates and eventually finding the One Piece. It's because of Roger that Luffy, a D, was inspired to become a Pirate and is now Joyboy. He also couldn't tell Dragon, he didn't know him, his revolution hadn't really begun. He had no waves. He didn't know Vegapunk either, how does he know to trust him. He however told Whitebeard knowing full well he could trust him. And Roger having a son, a D, is partly why Whitebeard took him in because he knew about the Void Century which Roger told him, and tried to raise Ace to becoming the Pirate King to fulfil the prophecy. However, Ace was a cog in making Luffy who was really the chosen one. Rayleigh only says it's an adventure for the next generation is not to say he's just leaving it for them to go on an adventure. He's saying that since FATE/DESTINY is what determines all of this, he's leaving it to them to fulfil fate/destiny. He's not being irresponsible and just saying they need to have fun. Furthermore, the only reason Wano's borders can be open is because Wano had a villain, Kaido. Luffy defeating him made them have trust in him. Now they know all Pirates aren't evil which they've believed for 400 years. They're ready to open borders and welcome people. So, Momo and Luffy's meeting worked out the best way possible. The people are receptive to outsiders and with the borders due to soon be open, they'll be able to fight against the WG's ancient weapon with Pluton. Roger paved the way, so he did do something.
i mean, the answer was already stated long ago by roger himself: "we were too early". remember those sea kings roger passed on his way to fishman island? they knew exactly how many years it was going to take for shirahoshi to be born, long before neptun and otohime were even a thing. this means there is a pre-deternined time table for things to occur and roger and his crew were literally to early to do anything at that point in time. so why upset and worry everyone when there's literally nothing any can done until the pre-deternined time comes? all they can do is prepare and wait, which is what they did.
I think they had faith in what Joyboy and the ancient kingdom had planned, so they didn't look for help anywhere, they just did what they thought would help fulfill that plan, like making a child that he thought could be this new joyboy, starting the great age of piracy, guiding and teaching new pirates in the navigation of the grandline by explaining the use of log poses and eternal poses in twin cape and helping the strongest bunch of these new pirates in getting into the new world through fishman island by getting into the coating business. I also think that if people came up to them and were serious enough about the subject ( like Vegapunk and his curiosity, an Oharan scholar wanting to know more about the poneglyph, Robin and her wish to know the true history, ... ) asked them about what they found, they would've gladly told them while also warning them that the world might become their enemy for that knowledge. These serious people just didn't ask them (most likely cause, in Vegapunk's case, he didn't fully connect the dots till recently). My point is, they had faith in what they found on Laugh Tale to not need to initiate a talk about the truth to anyone ( unless it was to brag and share to a friend like Roger did with Newgate ), they would also not talk about it even if asked if the person didn't already seem curious enough or seriously involved ( ex : Rayleigh wouldn't talk about the void century if just asked in a bar by random nobodies about what they found on Laugh Tale but would spill the beans to serious people that actually cared like Robin and probably Law too if he asked him about the will of D during his saving of Luffy after Marineford ) and lastly, another reason not to just nonchalantly talk about it to random people is that having that knowledge would put you in the government's top priority hit-list
sooo... did you forget about the sea kings? when shirahoshi summoned the sea kings at the end of fishman island and when roger went to fishman island, the sea kings had a psychic conversation and they used very specific dates in their conversation (like the specific amount of years until shiraoshi's birth), which means that whatever is meant to happen, is gonna happen at a very specific date. so it's not like it's just a figure of speech. the roger pirates literally were too early and probably figured there's no point in telling anyone, since there's lierally nothing anyone can do until the promised time comes. the issue can only be solved at a very specific date decades in the future, so why needlesly worry everyone about something they can't do anything about.
19:44 dragon already knew vegapunk and had a friendship with him before becoming as notorious as he is now. Plus dragon was a Marine so he at least started off as a WG ally, making it easy to communicate with Vegapunk. Totally different story if you’re a Roger pirate and already crowned the worlds most vicious terrorist, reaching vegapunk would be nowhere near as simple as it was for dragon
I remember what Rayleigh said. "Maybe you'll come to a different conclusion than we did." Perhaps with what Vegapunk saw, he came to a conclusion that isn't correct because he only has Clover's info and is missing some vital context.
If i had to guess i would say that Pluton (God of Earth) has some sort of power to Terraformation, and was used to pull Wano together and protect during the Original Flood by making the walls. Pluton may also be responsible of creating RED LINE.
Tekking ... I mean, Roger DID do something. He started the great pirate era that lead to fresh blood to take to the sea in order to reach this land, The One Piece. So yeah, Roger did put things in motion. Also, impo, this adds more fire the, "The treasure was the friends we made along the way." Theory... What if Roger started the Pirate era because the decision awaiting on Laugh Tale is one that requires people with more experience? You know, people like them that, or maybe unlike them, that saw more of the world? Roger and his crew rushed to the goal and thus, while I can't deny their adventure wasn't grandiose, not only they were missing some key pieces of the puzzle but also they lacked more criteria to make a choice that for all intends and purposes will change the world. Personally I feel Luffy and the Strawhats have experience a bit more than Roger has in regards of how much of the world they've seen. The good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly and even the gray. Or, they WILL have more by the time they reach the One Piece. So Roger is putting faith that whoever gets there will have a broader perspective to make such a decision. From that view, it kind of explains why they didn't tell someone like Vegapunk. He's too naive to make a choice like that. I know that sounds outrageous but let's be real, Vegapunk does lack a bit of "street smarts". The whole start of the pirate era is a gamble, but that's all they could do at the moment.
In terms of rushing the adventure surely that's what Luffy has managed. Roger spent many more years sailing the grand line before finding out about his illness and doing one last run through. It's way more likely Roger went to more islands than Luffy.
A variation of your theory regarding Law scanning for Pluton. What-if it's not that Law couldn't find it because it's not there, but instead he couldn't find it because the Ancient Weapons have cloaking protecting them from being detected by anything when they're dormant including DF powers with the exception of someone who has the a detector or activation device. I could totally see that being the case, which could explain why they haven't been found by anyone in the past 800 years. They've just been dormant and cloaked from detection by means other than their designated method(s).
Hi Tekking, I worked with Armadillos at Uni (did animal/zoo management degree) and they were by far the most chill animals I worked with, had no trouble handling them or doing any cleaning out of their enclosures etc. Fun little guys, if you ever somehow get the chance to interact with captive ones go for it they're great!
Its beautiful ray was like “its either i tell you about what we saw at the final island and you can realize the futility of the situation and quit right here or you can find it yourself and maybe the journey along the way will give you a different prospective.” And that’s beautiful ngl.
The best plot point is that the Roger pirates that we know made a home were they are not affected. Crocos inside a whale and Raleigh as a coater. Minks living so high they are not affected. I want all Roger pirates have safed themself in that way. Maybe in Skyislands or something like that. On the moons
I remember an old advert for... I think it was Malteasers? Smooth on the outside, crunchy on the inside. Armadillos were advertised as the opposite. XD
i think the problem with telling vegapunk isn't that they couldn't contact him, but that they didn't know his true allegiance because he worked for the government. As far as they knew we as completely loyal and if they told him he probably would have just went yapping to the government. As for why they didn't tell anyone else, well i ask who would have believed them. Even now when the smartest man in the world is telling everyone plenty of people are calling him crazy or are hesitant to believe him. now imagine if a pirate told them, they probably get laughed out the bar regardless of their status.
When you said "the finale of one piece", it gave me goosebumps and I had to make a drink at 4am. When oda tells us "this is the final arc" in a letter or something, I'm gonna sob
The beginning of the broadcast made clear to me that Shaka's call to Dragon was a "you know what will happen, do your best" moment. Idk if Dragon knew everything or was planning how to deal with the aftermath during it.
Rogers crew is scattered at key positions across the world. They might just had a plan to look out for the promising talents that could maybe deal with it. Reileigh being on Sabaody, where everyone goes through is kinda telling. For the Ancient weapons, I like to think that they are all tied to ships. Poseidon, underwater sea ship and tied to the Noah, powered by the Seakings. Pluton a Ship for atop the water, powered by the Motherflame. Uranos a Ship for the Sky sea, powered by a "God" fruit (Imu or Nika,). Each to conquer their respective plane of the whole planet, which might have been the plan of the Ancient Kingdom and the "World Goverment" fought them for it or wanted the same.
Pluton being a ship implies that it could be residing in the white sea or the white white sea because we've seen ships be up there before. So if it's not in Wano, it could feasibly be in the sky
Uranus might be more like Poseidon than Pluton. We know nothing about the physical form of Uranus, so it might be an ability like Shirahoshi has, as opposed to a literal weapon. that is exactly what we are told Pluton is during the Water Seven arc. But I agree with you Tekking that it would be weird for the weapon named after the sky to not be the big sky laser.
Yeah i think a big part of it was that they didn’t really have anyone they could tell… Dragon was just a rookie, so they might not have even looked his way, or wanted to put too much pressure on him, and with Roger only having a year left they couldn’t really take him under their wing, and also they were pirates that had different goals than revolutionaries yknow? i’m sure they also thought maybe he’s just a double agent since his dad is garp and dragon was in the marines previously, or just maybe they didn’t wanna interact with him because of garp. and so they didn’t really have anyone else. vegapunk to the world was known to be working with the world government so they wouldn’t go to him, garp was with the marines and most likely already knew a bunch of that stuff anyway, and so yeah,, there wasn’t really anyone they could go to, or trust. so they trusted the next generation, and trusted what their journey would inspire in the world, the age of pirates. also, whoever they did tell would IMMEDIATELY be put on the governments number one most wanted list if anyone found out, and only those on the Roger crew were strong enough at the time to bear that weight. And thinking about that now, the only other person that could also bear that weight was Whitebeard and his crew,, and Roger tried to tell him!!! but he didn’t want to know,,, so who knows, maybe in that last year he had Roger did try and tell the very few people he could trust, but they either didn’t want to know, or already knew and weren’t doing anything about it,, maybe he told Garp and either garp already knew or didn’t know all of it, and if it does speak of a specific date or timeframe in a prophecy for a battle to take place or something, maybe that influenced garp to not move higher up in the marines as well as raising luffy a certain way
20:13 My theory is that when Roger left Shanks alone with Buggy, Garling used the opportunity to intercept Shanks and told him about his heritage, so when Roger returned Shanks asked him if was true, which Roger confirmed, and that is the reason Shanks was crying.
“Thou they were all eradicated…joyboy and his people swore to continue smiling forever…even as the heads rolled the smiles remained” - imu The Will of D
The theory i like about the nika fruit is in order to awake it you have to be a member of the D clan and is why shanks cried because he was told directly by roger you cannot be the next joyboy because you are a "god" and is why he went to luffys village to give it to rogers son ace but then met luffy who said the exact same thing roger said (and already ate the fruit) so he put all his faith in him. Another member of the D clan who then went about awakening the fruit bringing another nika into the world
Roger and his crew arrive. They see a big poneglyph, but with only a line of text. Oden translate and relays the information. “One Piece DLC coming soon”
I found it funny when people were asking why Roger didn't do anything, because I was all like, "Uhh...but he did do something. Page 1, Chapter 1 of the entire series. He motivated everyone to go look for the One Piece." The best thing he could've ever done was to make everyone in the world get involved in figuring out what the fate of the world will be (under the guise of promising some big awesome treasure) and then doing something about it when Joy Boy returns and the time is right.
Vegapunk may be smart but he still doesn't know all the facts related to Roger. He just knows that Roger knew about the sinking world but that doesn't mean that the legendary treasure is related to it. Vegapunk can only at best assume that the treasure and the state of their world might have a connection and that's all. But since they remained quiet there's nothing he can do but wonder why keep the knowledge on the sunken continents a secret.
Fun fact: I've studied Classics, and Pluto/Hades are what ancient Greeks called cthonic gods. These days we think of cthonic as referring specifically to death and/or the dead, but the origin was more 'of the earth'. They thought of the underworld as literally being under the world, under the earth, and while offerings to the sky gods (like Zeus and the other Olympians) would be burned so the smoke would rise to the heavens, offerings to cthonic gods (Hades was the big one, but most agricultural gods like Persephone and Demeter started out like this too) would be buried in the ground since that was where those gods lived. So thematically, Pluton still being buried under the earth is the most likely option, though the associations with death and the underworld make me wonder if Zoro and/or Brook with their underworld connections will be involved with unearthing or accessing it somehow? 🤔
huh, just realised this now, Luffy climbing Drum Mt could be a kind of parallel to Fisher Tiger (and subsequently Kuma) climbing the Red Line. EDIT: All three instances could also just be unrelated. Climbing things is hard and putting pro-tags trough hardship is one of the things of all time that pro-tags do.
I was thinking about the " Joyboy will come in 20 years from now" thing I would be unsatisfied if this didn't happened many times before. That's why I like that the Giant robot woke up 200 years before, so that makes it seems like there was many Joyboys awakening before
Just got through the "who they could tell part" so maybe this will be brought up. But to me, the only reason the Roger pirates need to not tell anyone is: having that knowledge is a death sentence. In some hands it would have been very useful, but even Vegapunk knew that he had to die to share this knowledge. And again, they are pirates, the only rational they need is "Would it do any good to tell others? No? Then why bother, let's just go on living the lives we want while we can."
Armadillos are facinating. They (and their cousins) evolved in South America when it was isolated from North America and the apex predators were large flightless burds called terror birds. When the Americas conected the armadillos moved up to the North, and cats moved south and caused the extinction of the giant birds
Video series idea: whenever there's no chapter, do you volume review, starting with volume 1. Other non-English youtubers do it, too and it's a great series and good for people to follow along reading.
Tekking talking about never seeing armadillos in the wild confused me, but then I remembered he's from like Pennsylvania or something... Where I live, they're all over the damn place...
It's kind of like mass effect, in regards to like passing it on to the next generation. Each cycle, the sentient life forms of the galaxy fought the final war but we're unable to defeat the reapers, but each time they passed a little bit more on to the next generation of the cycle. Then finally, in the generation we play as in the games, we pick up what was left for us by the past generations and use it to win the war.
Honestly I can see Roger and vegapunk being great friends before Roger became past tense. @Tekking101 if I could make a suggestion for whenever the animal facts perhaps one of the remaining letters could be another pokemon fact like say charizard for c or beldum for the letter b for example? (I remember the Porygon facts and was honestly impressed that route was taken for the letter p since I sorta figuring penguin facts for p)
The Roger pirates did take action, but not in the way Vegapunk expected. I look at like this: Roger learned about the history of the world, and Nika, and the big war to come, and decided he was too early so he had his crew help prepare the next generation. Crocus setup at the beginning of the Grand Line, Rayleigh at the end of the first half as a sbip coater who also trained Luffy. Shanks was given the job of finding the Nika fruit, and Oden's goal was to open the borders of Wano for the day Joy Boy returns.
I gathered from reading that Vega punk had all his knowledge from what he recovered from O’Hara and maybe a couple other people that he’s met along the way
I suspect the reason Roger didn't do much was well, he couldn't. He was 20 years too early, dying, and knew someone far more capable would arrive after the 20 year wait. Vegapunk doesn't know Roger knew.
13:30 I don’t believe that because Rayleigh was willing to tell Lucy and Robin and I don’t think Rayleigh would go against Captains orders, even if Luffy had the hat
I think Rayleigh's words to Robin are important, that she should see for herself and make her own conclusions. The information at the One Piece is something you should see for yourself and Roger Pirates - who are not scientists - sharing that info to someone like Vegapunk could go badly if somewhere along the way the info goes bad. Vegapunk has some of the poneglyphs that the Oharans translated, he doesn't actually know what was at Raftel, and we have already seen that Vegapunk doesn't consider the consequences of oversharing information or scientific progress.
I believe that ancient weapons are connecter to certain races in OP, Poseidon is a fishman princess, whatever destroyed Lulucia uses mother flame as fuel and mother flame might be connected to Lunarinas, so third weapon could be connected to another race we have in OP
im only about halfway through the video but i gotta get my thoughts out. we established that roger couldn't do anything about it, but what if him turning himself in *was* him doing something about it? his whole speech about where his treasure is and all. obviously you need to be able to read the poneglyphs to get the Laugh Tale correctly, and he knew that. i wonder if he knew--believed, hoped, had faith--that whosever crew was inspired by that speech enough to genuinely try, and be able to read/translate the poneglyphs (which tell you about the void century, and would naturally reveal The Truth), AND reach Laugh Tale would also have the drive, ideals, heart, and ability to do something about it. After all, if it weren't for his last words, the Great Pirate Era likely wouldn't have started (at least not in the way we know it), Luffy may never have eaten the fruit, and then it would be even *longer* before someone does something about Imu--if they ever get the chance. also great video as always dude i just have Thoughts

He probably told the man in Logtown, who gave Luffy that drink
@@austingonzales4259
Pretty sure that man was not canon.
Whitebeard probably knew for sure. He knew what the Will of D was and he confirmed the one piece being real. He could only get that information from someone on the roger crew

Posseidon wasn't born, the Nika fruit wasn't found,.... And he can't tell everyone, the world would be in chaos
Only thing he could do was kicked start the great pirate era
Maybe he can tell Whitebeard, but that's it

Second, maybe his literal wife who is carrying his kid?? @@datbui6009 Also, he has no clue about Luffy, so why would you even bring that up? He's not omniscient 🤣

That, or Robin and them filled him in on it too
Just had a random thought about Pluton.

I think the whole Momo pluton thing just means up until this point, Momo did not know Pluton was an Ancient Weapon.

Roger did start a great pirate era! Maybe it was his way of saying to the world.
Roger didn't tell Vegapunk because he had no morals, Vegapunk worked for whoever would pay for his experiments. Roger knew they had to shut up about it, so they did. The romance dawn had to occur.
I like to imagine that in laughtale its just a giant ass bath plug
That would be crazy 😂
@@callmeo5104 A golden giant ass bath plug or something like that
okay but the one piece being some sort of tool to remove water or control it could make sense
That’s why Roger was probably laughing he was like “I wasted my time roaming the seas for this shit” 🤣
Trust is needed and this is where
Luffy comes in. How do you earn trust? By proving yourself and this is what Luffy does - he saves entire countries and then they publicly view him as a hero and trustworthy:
Joboy's plan might require a bit of secrecy for it to work

A meteor the size of Mars? dude that's just planetary collision !!!
Unless you mean the size of Marcus Mars?
I remember what Rayleigh said. "Maybe you'll come to a different conclusion than we did."
Perhaps with what Vegapunk saw, he came to a conclusion that isn't correct because he only has Clover's info and is missing some vital context.
Fun little guys, if you ever somehow get the chance to interact with captive ones go for it they're great!

i think the problem with telling vegapunk isn't that they couldn't contact him, but that they didn't know his true allegiance because he worked for the government. As far as they knew we as completely loyal and if they told him he probably would have just went yapping to the government. As for why they didn't tell anyone else, well i ask who would have believed them.
It is confirmed to be in Wano

Uranus might be more like Poseidon than Pluton. We know nothing about the physical form of Uranus, so it might be an ability like Shirahoshi has, as opposed to a literal weapon. that is exactly what we are told Pluton is during the Water Seven arc.
But I agree with you Tekking that it would be weird for the weapon named after the sky to not be the big sky laser.
Yeah i think a big part of it was that they didn’t really have anyone they could tell…
Dragon was just a rookie, so they might not have even looked his way, or wanted to put too much pressure on him, and with Roger only having a year left they couldn’t really take him under their wing, and also they were pirates that had different goals than revolutionaries yknow? i’m sure they also thought maybe he’s just a double agent since his dad is garp and dragon was in the marines previously, or just maybe they didn’t wanna interact with him because of garp.
and so they didn’t really have anyone else. vegapunk to the world was known to be working with the world government so they wouldn’t go to him, garp was with the marines and most likely already knew a bunch of that stuff anyway, and so yeah,, there wasn’t really anyone they could go to, or trust.
so they trusted the next generation, and trusted what their journey would inspire in the world, the age of pirates.
also, whoever they did tell would IMMEDIATELY be put on the governments number one most wanted list if anyone found out, and only those on the Roger crew were strong enough at the time to bear that weight.
And thinking about that now, the only other person that could also bear that weight was Whitebeard and his crew,, and Roger tried to tell him!!! but he didn’t want to know,,, so who knows, maybe in that last year he had Roger did try and tell the very few people he could trust, but they either didn’t want to know, or already knew and weren’t doing anything about it,,
maybe he told Garp and either garp already knew or didn’t know all of it, and if it does speak of a specific date or timeframe in a prophecy for a battle to take place or something, maybe that influenced garp to not move higher up in the marines as well as raising luffy a certain way
My favorite segment is back , animal facts!

The return of animal facts just made me incredibly happy

The theory i like about the nika fruit is in order to awake it you have to be a member of the D clan and is why shanks cried because he was told directly by roger you cannot be the next joyboy because you are a "god" and is why he went to luffys village to give it to rogers son ace but then met luffy who said the exact same thing roger said (and already ate the fruit) so he put all his faith in him. I found it funny when people were asking why Roger didn't do anything, because I was all like, "Uhh...but he did do something. Page 1, Chapter 1 of the entire series. He motivated everyone to go look for the One Piece."
The best thing he could've ever done was to make everyone in the world get involved in figuring out what the fate of the world will be (under the guise of promising some big awesome treasure) and then doing something about it when Joy Boy returns and the time is right.
Now that I think about it. 20 years ago Saint Figureland would have been 20 years younger
almost 30 years and we're still grasping at straws with the lore
I was hoping Vegapunk would explain how objects could eat devil fruits
huh, just realised this now, Luffy climbing Drum Mt could be a kind of parallel to Fisher Tiger (and subsequently Kuma) climbing the Red Line.
EDIT: All three instances could also just be unrelated. Climbing things is hard and putting pro-tags trough hardship is one of the things of all time that pro-tags do.
I was thinking about the " Joyboy will come in 20 years from now" thing
I would be unsatisfied if this didn't happened many times before.
I have to share this...

Armadillos are facinating. They (and their cousins) evolved in South America when it was isolated from North America and the apex predators were large flightless burds called terror birds. When the Americas conected the armadillos moved up to the North, and cats moved south and caused the extinction of the giant birds
I definitely didn't take Kinemon's response as "shh, don't talk about that"

I think Crocodile was a trainee god knight given the name Sir Crocodile and came to know about the flood which is why he wants Pluton.
I think Momonosuke is questioning if Pluton is active again.
He knows its there, but didnt know it was active until now
To Laugh or not to Laugh, that is the question

I gathered from reading that Vega punk had all his knowledge from what he recovered from O’Hara and maybe a couple other people that he’s met along the way
LET'S GO ARMADILLOS!
We need animal facts 2!
I suspect the reason Roger didn't do much was well, he couldn't. He was 20 years too early, dying, and knew someone far more capable would arrive after the 20 year wait. Vegapunk doesn't know Roger knew.
15:00 was it a call? I totally thought dragon was on the egghead island talking to Shaka
YAY You are bringing some animal facts back
Thumbnails a super banger 👍
Maybe what happened to that hole in the ocean was artillery like fired from on high (maybe a castle?)
28:58 i knew it! Animal facts!
Keep up the awesome work and videos tekking love the video
13:30 I don’t believe that because Rayleigh was willing to tell Lucy and Robin and I don’t think Rayleigh would go against Captains orders, even if Luffy had the hat
Armadillos are one of the animals that represent Usopp btw
