You should honestly make a video on the timeline of the Strawhats Journey, give a rough estimate on how long the straw hats been together and how long each arc actually took
If you take into account the estimated time that Vegapunk gave for Kuma's and Bonney's modifications and surgeries and time to recovery, plus when Bonney set sail, it would be 5 or 6 months at best. It was probably September in the One Piece world when Vegapunk gave the estimation, then 6 months passed for Bonney's surgery, so it would be March. Another year for her until she could be under the sun. 6 months passed and now it's September 1st which is Bonney's birthday. Another 6 months pass and now it's March which is when Vegapunk said she can go out. She sets sail 2 months before Luffy did when he turned 17 on May 5. 4 years ago, when it was probably September, Vegapunk said that Kuma's modifications would take at least 2 years. It's also interesting considering the most well kneon myth of Hades involving his wife, the Dread Queen Persephone, who is the daughter of Demeter aka the plant goddess who didnt want her getting married. And Shaky is a Kuja, who all happen to have plant/flower based names.
I think something like what happened Kuma and his epithet. Rayleigh went to conquerer some land for Roger / free it from tyranny or something along these lines.
Idk why but after hearing "rayleigh did everything and is bored" i imagined him walking up to the navy base and asking them for a job just to see their reaction
I think Katakuri mentioned "Color of Arms" it felt like it implied there were levels to armament haki. And his were a blue tint as luffy's was plain black
19:20 I prefer to go the same way as the Ancient Weapons for this. We have Unraus, Poseidon and Pluton. We assume Uranus is -what was used to wipe Lulusia- [What's a Lulusia? that place never existed] a flying weapon, because Uranus was a Sky God. Then you have Poseidon, a mermaid princess under the water, as Poseidon is the god of the Sea. Finally Pluton. The weapon is a ship, so sea again, but it travels at surface level, and it's the one that can interact with land. It's a seafaring vessel because if it was circumscript to land it couldn't leave the island where it was created, but it represents the underworld, Pluto (not to mix with the other Roman God Pluto, god of riches and abundance), Hades. If we want to assign them elements, Uranus would be air, Poseidon would be water, and Pluton would be earth. Now let's think of the Strawhats. Let's take Luffy away from the equation for a minute, who are the heavy hitters in the crew. Zoro, Sanji and Jinbe. Zoro, son of Terra, that means Earth. Sanji, son of Sora, that means Sky. Jinbe, known as "First Son of the Sea". Zoro is Pluton, or Hades, Sanji is Uranus, Jinbe is Poseidon, while Luffy is the Sun
Great video man 📹 Question, think you'll do a video on future of Wapol, potentially in Neo Mads/ Cross Guild since he's now wanted by WG and produce powerful weapons with WapoMetal or other new alloys
15:33, remember Mihawk and Zoro in beginning. Thats what happened.(forget old age) Mihawk took out another sword because most are too weak for him and that pissed off Zoro more.
Wasnt Luffys reason for becoming pirate king to be the most free person there is? What if Luffy just rejects being Pirate King because being just Luffy gives him more freedom than being Pirate King would? Just being Pirate King put a huge target on Ace, finding the Pirate Kings treasure is one of the most important things the WG doesnt want to happen. Luffy could do it like Mihawk and Crocodile did, just without it being calculated, and let Buggy have the spotlight so he can enjoy life in the shadows
Personally I always liked to believe he is named "the dark King" because as the second in comand he stands in Rogers shadow, BUT he very well could be the head of any high class organisation because of his insane strenght. As well as the fact that Roger seems a lot like Luffy, making decisions out of the blue while Rayleigh is more calculated pulling the strings in Rogers shadow, making him the Dark King.
So I walk out of the room because I heard my oven beep and forgot to pause the video and when I returned I just heard "Maybe Luffy doesn't get all the bananas" - Tekking101
What if the reason is that Rayleigh can do the full body vulcanization on the inside of his body instead of the outside making his enemies think he's unguarded but isn't.
Maoh is a pretty common title for JRPG final bosses, like the older dragon quest games. The same "ma" kanji is used in Sukuna's Malevolent Shine in JJK, which is Fukuma Mizushi in Japanese
Maybe Rayleigh hits and cuts stuff so hard that the light just up and gets blown away, creating darkness? Maybe the light stops touching him? Or his Haki is so strong that everything he uses changes into a high grade Black Blade very soon after he gets to using it?
Maybe Rayleigh is called the dark king the same way Salron is called the dark lord. From the WG perspective, Rayleigh might as well be the equivalent of the "demon king" (found in so many isekai and video games) of the One Piece world.
I liken hardening as like the base stat of armament. You use it first, then you can add the other types of armament to add different effects, but hardening is like the base stat. You can be strong enough to punch apart amountain with just hardening, but its just easier if you can use ryuo to break through the natural resilience of the mountain and destroy it from the inside. You wouldn't need to have as high a level of basic hardening.
Im paraphrasing a video on Ultraviolet Catastrophe but I learned this: "Black Bodies" are objects that absorb radiation and emit it ie: light from a hot poker, black car seats, black holes And the rate that they do so (absorb/emit light) is used by physicists to study radiation. The Sun and Human Body are both "Black Bodies"
I had a thought relating to the idea of “Dark King” and “Ruler of Hell” being related to the shadow of their captain. This could be similar to how Zoro acted on Whiskey Peak and Luffy acted on Sky Island. Luffy is constantly out in the light fighting the big bosses and literal Gods, but Zoro fights in the dark and deals with the sneakier and ‘weaker’ opponents. I assume Roger would have been very similar to Luffy in this manner, but we don’t know for sure. I don’t know how credible this could be, but it feels like a common trend with the Straw Hats to have Luffy fight the big battle that gets the news stories while Zoro cuts down enemies and gets regarded as a sort of rumor because of the mystery.
Wasnt it stated that the Black Color Haki is just to visualize for the viewers. So in the One Piece world its like invisible? If so the Blackblades should be black?
Great video. In my opinion I think the reason why Rayleigh got his title the dark king is because Gol D. Roger is the king of light maybe and since Rayleigh is the right hand man for Gol. D. Roger he has a opposite title. My opinion of the various connections between Zoro and Reyleigh I think Zoro is the younger version of Rayleigh just passing generations.
I feel like the reason he doesn’t use his sword from his time with the Roger Pirates is because either it’s too strong to use now or that he swung that blade only for Roger and the crew
So another thing about Katakuri is his Zan Giri Mochi attack which when he uses it...his haki changes shape. So the idea that there are different types of hardening, seems likely. And remember that attack was compared to Luffy's Gear 4 haki in looks and for Luffy in particular, his haki during gear 4 definitely isn't on the same scale as base Luffy.

It's also interesting considering the most well kneon myth of Hades involving his wife, the Dread Queen Persephone, who is the daughter of Demeter aka the plant goddess who didnt want her getting married. And Shaky is a Kuja, who all happen to have plant/flower based names.
Hey man, after Killer Bee we know how 8 Sword Style would work xD
I think something like what happened Kuma and his epithet.
Rayleigh went to conquerer some land for Roger / free it from tyranny or something along these lines.
I got really concerned when I couldn’t hear you in the beginning until I realized my tv was on mute
Bronze is an alloy of Copper (Cu) and Tin (Sn) in an 88:12 ratio
I’ve always thought of his title being similar to shadow hokage from Naruto
16:43 technically there is a video game/anime human character who uses six swords name masamune data in samurai warriors
Dark king is one of the cleanest nicknames
Way too hard
blackbeard backed off rayleigh because he has xebecs soul and rocks saw prime rayleigh
I'm pretty sure the dark king title was in reference to the fact that he's Roger's shadow. The shadow of the pirate king being the dark king.
So I walk out of the room because I heard my oven beep and forgot to pause the video and when I returned I just heard
"Maybe Luffy doesn't get all the bananas" - Tekking101
What if the reason is that Rayleigh can do the full body vulcanization on the inside of his body instead of the outside making his enemies think he's unguarded but isn't.
Maoh is a pretty common title for JRPG final bosses, like the older dragon quest games. The same "ma" kanji is used in Sukuna's Malevolent Shine in JJK, which is Fukuma Mizushi in Japanese
A Collab with Trekking and his mom would be great
Let’s go dude Rayleigh is my favorite character
0:14 nah you definitely send papa barry to belize
Anyway, Tekking look like saul goodman right, or os ot just me ?
Maybe Rayleigh hits and cuts stuff so hard that the light just up and gets blown away, creating darkness? Maybe the light stops touching him?
Or his Haki is so strong that everything he uses changes into a high grade Black Blade very soon after he gets to using it?
That's an awesome Christmas present
Maybe Rayleigh is called the dark king the same way Salron is called the dark lord.
From the WG perspective, Rayleigh might as well be the equivalent of the "demon king" (found in so many isekai and video games) of the One Piece world.
I liken hardening as like the base stat of armament. You use it first, then you can add the other types of armament to add different effects, but hardening is like the base stat. You can be strong enough to punch apart amountain with just hardening, but its just easier if you can use ryuo to break through the natural resilience of the mountain and destroy it from the inside. You wouldn't need to have as high a level of basic hardening.
i love when tekking uses rpg terminology to explain aspects of the series
I am going on a family trip from Cali to Vegas at the of January, do you want me to pass something to Papa Brick?
11:50 bro really used his master ball on a pidgey
Rayleigh selling his black blade would be like using your Master Ball to catch a magikarp. Lol.
I like the idea that he got the Dark King title because he was the shadow of the Pirate King.
I wonder if, when he pulls the "my face darkens and my eyes glow red with bloodlust," his beard makes it look like a skull
Im paraphrasing a video on Ultraviolet Catastrophe but I learned this:
"Black Bodies" are objects that absorb radiation and emit it
ie: light from a hot poker, black car seats, black holes
And the rate that they do so (absorb/emit light) is used by physicists to study radiation.
The Sun and Human Body are both "Black Bodies"
One of the Goats
Bronze is an alloy of copper with different metals. But if it contains too much zinc, it's called "brass".
I feel like the reason he doesn’t use his sword from his time with the Roger Pirates is because either it’s too strong to use now or that he swung that blade only for Roger and the crew
Can we please get a day in the life of Tekking101?
So another thing about Katakuri is his Zan Giri Mochi attack which when he uses it...his haki changes shape. So the idea that there are different types of hardening, seems likely. And remember that attack was compared to Luffy's Gear 4 haki in looks and for Luffy in particular, his haki during gear 4 definitely isn't on the same scale as base Luffy.
16:36 be careful there, shiki might copyright strike you if you do that
