So fun watching your growth. I truly love these match breakdowns. They are so helpful b/c you show what not to do and what happens as a result, as well as the correct strategies and how/why they work most of the time. Well done!
GREAT match to watch. The breakdown/analysis is next level! Thanks so much for this Tanner! You have such an appreciation for great shots and plays, even if it's the other guy making it. So refreshing to hear a humble approach and attitude. Subbed - and can't wait for more of your videos!
Sooooo good! Congrats 🎉 I’m a lefty as well and my partner is righty. We get so much from this content that we put into practice in our own matches. Thank u again! You guys were pretty solid at Diacon tourney earlier this year, but this is obviously next level.
Great job buddy. I don’t know if you know how important this is to hear this type of analysis cause I look at my games and try to pick them apart but hearing it from your angle is good and I just have to say Kyle is an Ernie machine.
Maybe next time you and Kyle can both comment on one. I know you’re busy posting a lot of stuff and so is he but that would also be real helpful to get both of your perspectives

Always love your gameplay analysis. Best high level content on TH-cam! Sometimes less more with the editing. The constant captions and flashing “replay” makes this one a tough watch
Tanner, a buddy started taping our games. He has set the camera up at different locations. The location that seems to be the best is 3/4 back on the side fence. If you would have put your camera on that side fence, the view would have been way better. But keep up the good work!
question for you, you said the moment got to big. Do you use a HR monitor or watch that has HR? Do you notice a change from tournament to rec? I played in some tourneys and the HR is noticeably higher for me in those scenarios.
Great job, Tanner! I love to follow your PB journey and Kyle's as well. Do you plan to do a match breakdown of your recent match (at PPA KC) versus the current #1 rated men's doubles team of Dylan Frazier and JW Johnson?
Editing question for ya: Are you putting in all the graphics/zoom-ins yourself, or is it AI or an editor? Wondering how you put this video together! Thanks! Love your videos.
@@tanner.pickleball i meant that if you were Rob there really is there much you can do? would it be reasonable for rob to say to erik, let me take the left side?
Love your breakdowns but again feedback on production: the bold constant closed captions is way distracting and totally unnecessary. Fun to watch you and kyle
Seems like your opponents hit a lot more drops out wide - is that better vs a lefty righty team where both backhands are on the outside? Or just because they’re good enough to cover the potential angles?
Congrats Tanner! This is likely a dumb question, but does anyone know how to find and compete for tournaments like this? Are these the tournaments that require a USAP membership? *Edit -> I know Pickleball Brackets exists, but I didn’t know if there was anything else.
On pickleballbrackets, I type in APP and PPA then find the schedules through there! Also if you google those tours, those are the main tournaments I play. The schedule is on their website.
You and Kyle are my favourite pickleball u-tubers,never imagined you two would team up. Congrats !👏👏👏
Thank you so much, love playing with him :)

Thanks so much for that. I love making these!
Love your content. I have a tournament this weekend and I’m here studying all your content. Keep up the good work!
Have fun! You’ll do great!
I love these videos and seeing your growth!! So helpful for my game as well!
Glad you like them!

Yes! Thank you!
Love this format Tanner and even like the music background! Me being a lefty this helps SO much!
Happy to help!

If tanner said it, I agree with it :)
haha, but in all seriousness. Yes, we'll probably do something like this at some point in the future!
Such a great video Tanner. I love this video style that you do. It’s great to see your thought process

Nice! 4th is awesome at this level!
Thanks!
Great finish guys! I really love this content.
Glad you enjoy it!
Great analysis of the match tanner! Keep it up!!!!
Appreciate it!
Hey Tanner, do you play with the CRBN 1x 14mm or 16mm paddle? Also loving the vod breakdowns!
Thanks!! 16mm 1x, love it!
Learned so much! Thank you for sharing this and congrats!!! 🎉
You are so welcome!
I learned a lot from that. Thank you.
Glad to hear it!
AWESOME TANNER!!!!!!!
:)
Good shit tanner. Love the content keep it up 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!

Much appreciated! I’ll take that input for the next one

Love this content. Very educational!

great breakdown !!
:)
I love watching these videos.
Thanks!!
Another Great video, can't wait for the next live stream. btw do you have a video on drive footwork.
Thanks! I’ll create one for sure!
Great Playing Bro!
Thanks a lot!
question for you, you said the moment got to big. Do you use a HR monitor or watch that has HR? Do you notice a change from tournament to rec? I played in some tourneys and the HR is noticeably higher for me in those scenarios.
I do not use one! Just lack of experience you gain in the moment!
Fantastic!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job, Tanner! I love to follow your PB journey and Kyle's as well. Do you plan to do a match breakdown of your recent match (at PPA KC) versus the current #1 rated men's doubles team of Dylan Frazier and JW Johnson?
Thanks!! I am not. I will do one in the future with a closer score line!
This is like a Marvel Team Up. :)
Will you and Kyle work together again?
Hahah too funny, yes we will play more!
First Deadpool and Wolverine and now this, what a summer.
A video on that Erne set piece you did would be good too. But please demo it for right-handed players as well.
Thanks and absolutely will do!
Do you have a recommendation for a cheaper begginer racket because right now I am using a bad wooden one
I will think and respond back to you!!
Editing question for ya: Are you putting in all the graphics/zoom-ins yourself, or is it AI or an editor? Wondering how you put this video together! Thanks! Love your videos.
Thanks I hire someone!
@@tanner.pickleball thanks for the reply!
Hell yea brother
:)
great insights! if you were erik and knew how much the other team was trying to avoid rob, , what could u do to get rob more touches?
Hmmm good question! that’s tough since we were not hitting the ball there. I would have to put some deep thought on it!
@@tanner.pickleball i meant that if you were Rob there really is there much you can do? would it be reasonable for rob to say to erik, let me take the left side?

Appreciate the feedback! We'll keep it in mind for future videos.
No more cross speedups for me 😂
Hahahaha
3:46 you should have chose an angled dink to the Nunnery side while he was back.
Totally agree!
Seems like your opponents hit a lot more drops out wide - is that better vs a lefty righty team where both backhands are on the outside? Or just because they’re good enough to cover the potential angles?
Yes with the backhands outside, that is a good strategy.
Can you do a video on how Rob does those speed-up shots?
Yes I will!
10:42 You would not get blown up by him if you don't try to speed up from below the net.
Yes good pickup
Just noticed you don't whip your wrist on anything, which is consistent but you will always lack put away power.
Good point, I am experimenting with this as we speak
Congrats Tanner!

*Edit -> I know Pickleball Brackets exists, but I didn’t know if there was anything else.
Pickleballbrackets has what you need. All the APP tournaments are on there I believe
On pickleballbrackets, I type in APP and PPA then find the schedules through there! Also if you google those tours, those are the main tournaments I play. The schedule is on their website.
@@tanner.pickleball Thanks for the help. Congrats again on the great accomplishment!
Can't watch this with the caption in my face and no way to turn it off.
I've fixed this for future videos :)
@@tanner.pickleball No worries. I'm a keen consumer of your future videos. 🙂
I noticed that you served with your feet near the line instead of off the line that you did a video on. Did you change your mind and why.
Hey yes I did! Standing back is when I’m really going for it. In a high pressure match, I was focusing more on consistently than sheer power!
@@tanner.pickleball Gotta get it in to win.
2:33pm Good breakdown but your camera angle too far away to see u and partner.
Ahhh ok!
Id rather play singles
lol not me!
Really bad camera location .
Good call
I've always felt mental tournament PB is 50% of the game. 50% is a game of nerves. It's not rec play PB.
Totally agree
How about a collab match breakdown with @thatpickleballguy for your other recorded match?
We will make it happen!
