After Pausing Wantable Ordered "Road Trip" Edit! Unboxing And Try On For Over 50!!

- Hi friends! In today’s video I have a Wantable Style Edit to share with you.
If you aren’t familiar with Wantable it is an online styling service that you can either schedule regular boxes or just order a box whenever you feel like it! You fill out an online profile of your sizes and likes/dislikes etc. pay a $20 styling fee(which will be credited back to you if you purchase anything from the box). With Wantable you can choose between their Style Edit, Active Edit, Sleep and Body Edit and various specially themed Edits throughout the year. You have 5 days to try the items and shipping is free both ways! They also have this feature called “The Stream”. You scroll through clothing items and you can request or decline items. This helps you stylist to learn your style and they will also try to include items you have requested if they have those items available in your size.

For my sizing: I am 5’9”
I normally prefer size large in tops and sweaters
For pants, I normally take a size 10 and I need a inseam length of 30”-32” for skinny jean styles and for bootcut or straight leg, I prefer a 34” inseam.
For dresses I normally wear a size 12

Pausing video to say you are not alone on the length preference. I will always choose a long bootcut regardless of what is considered current. YES to sticking with what we know we like and feel our best in no matter! This has been on my mind as I've been packing for my trip out west. Trendy or not, I'm packing with what I know works on my 5'8" body and I love that you're tall too! We have had enough of short pants when we didn't have a choice;)!
Amen sister!!! lol!! You being tall can understand the teenage trauma we encountered when long inseams were so hard to come by!! I remember loving the trend in the 80's when we tucked our jeans into leg warmers. I could wear my 'high waters" and no one knew!! lol! Oh, how unattractive that look was!!! lol!!

Hi Tina, I love the navy top with the drawstring. It's cute and it fits you well. The gauze shirt is nice but you could get similar at J. Crew Factory for under $40 without the pockets. I cancelled Wantable because I wasn't getting anything worth keeping. The first few boxes were good but last few were not. I ordered Cinemas Secrets after seeing your review. It gets the brushes so clean with minimal effort and no mess. Take care and have a great week!

Hey there friend…going back on unwatched posts & seems I missed this one. It’s been a crazy week. I’m absolutely with you on the brushed knit/ hacci/ whatever they want to call it, lol. I just don’t like that texture & always refuse or decline. Navy is definitely a power color for you & the top with the drawstring looked comfy. If you decided to keep, it was a strong choice. If not, you are so right the travel bag was an awesome gift & totally worth it regardless. I also paused my Wantable early this year as they were getting kind of pricey & weren’t hitting the mark for me. Maybe I will try one again soon. Hope you had a fabulous week 🥰
Hi Marie! I did end up keeping the navy drawstring top. I know it's nothing special, but it was so soft and just a good basic. I am glad to hear I am not the only one who has been struggling with Wantable. So strange because a couple of years ago, it used to be my favorite! I got so many things I loved! Oh well. You and I both know, there will be more clothes!! Lol!

Hi Tina! I missed my Sunday morning with you as I had a work event. Hmm. As you said, not a horrible box, but not anything truly special either. The makeup bag is great though! I think the blue top that you're keeping I'd very nice but spendy for what it is. BUT, if you like it, it's worth it! The off-the-shoulder sweatshirt was giving me 80's vibes...circa the Flashdance era. I used to wear those...back then! Not now. LOL.

I cracked up thinking of you "hiking" to the hotel! lol! Both my boys went camping (tent camping!) this summer and I was thinking I would rather drive nails through my fingers then sleep in a tent at this age!! lol! Oh to be young!!

Glad that you kept that one top. So cute! Henry was over bright and early this morning. He had so much fun on the playground, but it was getting much too hot. Then, he just wanted to chase after the cats inside. He's so darn cute, that I can't stop kissing his cheeks. He's at the age, where he wants hugs and kisses on his terms! I loved every minute that he was here.

They sent me the Z supply button down in a nice light blue color, so I kept it, but I might have passed on the tan. I totally know what you mean about that brushed knit, I pass up that fabric every time too because I’ve learned it doesn’t last

Why would they send mostly long sleeve tops? It’s still hot. That makeup bag is very nice! I think you made the best choice with keeping the navy top. Too bad the jeans weren’t long enough. I was kind of surprised at all the long sleeves too! The navy V-neck is a nice basic and love the way it feels so happy with that and of course the makeup bag is great!

I cancelled Wantable. I have been unhappy with the things they’ve sent. I don’t even think they read my styling note. They sent me things I didn’t even try on as I knew I wouldn’t keep them. I may try them in the fall to get some pieces but I’ve been unhappy with them for a bit.

Do you think with fall clothes quickly approaching, they might be adding anything new??
@@tinasbestmidlife for both my SF and FDF I’m waiting for late August/September. If they do get fall in earlier, it will be limited. I’m looking for casual black pants, boyfriend jeans, traditional tan chinos, maybe wide leg olive pants, and small checked blazer. Maybe a “throw on” dress. So far FDF has been best in getting my specific requests.
Wantable is so hit or miss. Sorry this box wasn't better for you. At least it was only a $5 styling fee.

My friend, I am pausing the video to pontificate on the "Gone hiking" graphic. I realize I am a literal thinker and my thoughts here are pretty much useless..... But if someone sees me in my "gone hiking" top, won't they know I'm not hiking if I'm, say, in the grocery store? And if I AM hiking, do they really need my top to confirm this fact?
I always find these types of statements on clothing curious.

@tinasbestmidlife I finally was able to watch the rest. This had some cute pieces, but only the navy top you are considering keeping looks like something you would wear. I think in themed edits like this they have certain pieces they work off of, which limits the stylist somewhat.
You said in the beginning that you were hoping for some cute summer pieces in this box. The only thing that truly looked summery to me was the tank.

Nothing in this box is for you. The colors and styles are all wrong. I like my boot cut longer also. Some of my older ones I have cut off at ankle length 😂and frayed which is the style now. The frayed with summer shoes or Sandler are narrower at the bottom. Don’t waste your money on this box.
