I love that his personality is so calm and peaceful, but his playing is so extreme
Buying this dvd, right now. Mainly because this is Hannes's TH-cam channel and he has the greatest youtube screen-name ever.
wow, I knew he was good, but it never thought he was this good. massive props to you Hannes!!
very cool Hannes !!! cant wait!
I was supposed to see him today in Belgium, but the show got cancelled :(
Keep up the good work Hannes, Saw you last week on Neurotic Deathfest, you guys absolutely killed it !
Bought this at an Obscura show in Pittsburgh. Worth EVERY penny. Ranks up there with Kollias's DVD for best metal drumming lesson vid out there.
That new Blotted Science album is going to be amazing.
He is such a fantastic drummer. He plays with a lot of power, which is something that many contemporary metal drummers lack. I just wish he wouldn't waste his time with Obscura.
My band played.with obscura super nice guys and need less to say a talented bunch
I didn't know you played for Blotted Science. Badass.
i like this guy he makes wanna get back into drumming
@buckfutter369 Duodecimal Levorotation isn't Blotted Science material actually, it's something that he collaborate on with Hannes, as well as Christian Muenzner and Pete Perez (Spastic Ink bassist)
Looks like a dvd definitely worth buying
YOU! ARE! AWESOME!
THIS GUY IS A GREAT DRUMMER.
I didn't know Christopher John "Topher" Grace had a twin brother. Which is an awesome drummer!
dude that set is killer!
2:04 Quote of the century !
Better than Kollias! Hannes is probably the only drummer who can arrange sick playing in songs in order to let it sound musical!
Be aware! Awesomeness ahead!
Great drummer. Crazy eyebrow movements too.
@HeavyMetalen666 Yes, I know. I still didn't get the intro of Papyrus containing the ..... But most of their stuff is just pure annihilating destruction. Very cool if you listen to it while you have a sightseeing tour where you visit old ruins ;-)
@buckfutter369 Oh shit, I actually just listened to that part of the video, haha, I'm sorry, it's Ocean Gateways from Obscura's new video. He plays Duodecimal Levorotation earlier in the vid from what I remember.
@paddy925 I like the sound of the snare, but the sound in this video is distorted, so it might be that.
his foot technique is really good.
cool snare sound
its a good possibility i own that drum stick he is using now..autographed too :)
1:22 "Did you say something?"
I like the way he talks :B
@djakew77 Anxiously awaiting that gem.
@RiktigeKentsson Haha, agreed, don't get me wrong, he's a nice man!
just wondering what tom heads you use. love your playing man, keep it up! \m/
Fucking great chops.
1:52 so sick!
@HeavyMetalen666 This is possibly true, but Hannes is able to use his technique in a proper way too strengthen the whole musical concept of a song.
But if you compare Nile with Obscura.... I mean you can't compare apples and eggs. Obscura is a way more musical band, Nile is just the absolute acoustic war ;-D
that blast at 2:04 sounds so damn powerful. fucking rape.
start is almost YYZ
Need to check out that new Speed Cobra again. I now play the standart Cobra with rolling glide...probably not the best for very fast sections^^ But it's pretty expensive though^^ I played the Speed Cobra on the Musikmesse Frankfurt and I didn't liked it that much there...
ocean gateways at the end : )
Damn!
@Asael090 He speak hell of a lot better english than most germans still :)
donde se puede conseguir
HANNES YOU FREAK, stop being so good, you make me want to die XD ha
I'm confused. Charlie Zeleny (ex-Behold... the Arctopus) was the drummer in Blotted Science.
Quick question of a more serious nature:
Does this dvd include instrumentals, and instrumentals with no drum tracks to play along to?
@Mattelliott1234 sheldons sarcasm detection algorhythm would freak out...
@sofa87 duodecimal levorotation, apparently
that last song sounded like Gojira.. in an awesome way
He seems like he genuinely cares about us...he probably does. otherwise he wouldn't torture himself with speaking english
@SatanMcCool thnx Hannes :P
@paddy925 Sounds better then mine, for sure ^^
@JamesTheWench yeah, we germans have pronounciation problems :D
This guy reminds me of borat every time he says his name.
@buckfutter369 And by new video, I mean new album. Fuck. It's called Omnivium. I really shouldn't be on youtube when I'm tired! hahahah
man his accent is beast
What is the song at 4:20 and/or 4:47 ?
a blast beat sounds best if it's "possibly" fast whaaaa..... possibly didn't describe what he just fucking did
@Asael090 Hence the smilie ;) hehe
