Great choice! Well done! 👍🙂Best of the best! Honorable mentions go to: "Amarige" from Givenchy (1991.),"Cabotine" by Gres (1990.), "L'eau d Odissey" by Issey Myake (1991.),"Sunflowers" from Elizabeth Arden(1993.), and "Green Tea" from the same house (1998.), "Eden" (1994.) and "Noa" from Cacharel (1998.), Kenzo "Jungle", (1998.), CK One (1998.), Gucci Rush (1999.), Davidoff "Cool Water" (1998.)and...ooh so much copied the one and only "J' adore" by Dior (1998.) and don 't forget beloved "Angel" by Thierry Mugler (1992.)
Amazing choices. I forgot to include Gucci Rush and Noa… one of my favourites. I’ve smelt all of these except Cabotine de Gres. I love Amarige but don’t own it. I had Green Tea, Sunflowers, Noa, and CK One at one point. And of course, Angel, we get along occasionally but I admit that the new version is not what it used to be. Thanks for watching!
@Sabrina-zc3sc Cabotine I actually was going to buy. But, instead bought Calandre. I Wished I bought Cabotine instead because people are right, it's been reformulated. It's missing something And I sold the full Calandre for $15.00
Aaaah the memories💖💖💖 I own(ed) 99% of your pics! I love your perfume taste. My absolute 90's favourite was and always will be Dolce & Gabbana Red Cap.
That’s so amazing! I think I even left out a couple, unintentionally. Oh, yes, the first D&G is an amazing fragrance. I’ve been trying to hunt it down but none of the physical and online stores in my area seem to stock it. I’m afraid it’s been discontinued.
@@lukeparfums I'm from the Netherlands and its only available online in just a couple of stores but expensive (around 100 euro) so when i found it on sale for around 70 euro a couple of months ago, i bought 2 bottles. I hope this gem doesnt get discontinued. Love your old Yvresse bottle. I had a bottle when it was still called 'Champagne'. I cant believe i threw it away, i'm such an idiot😂😂😂
@@H.A.-zr2wc That was a great deal. Well, I’ll keep looking for the red cap. It’s such a unique scent. Oh no, poor Champagne. I only have this tiny 30ml… I’ll be so sad once it’s gone.
The Lancome Tresor you're talking about is the one I wore on my wedding day. I never found another bottle. Later ones ate reformulated and very different.
Omg! I have had almost all of these. Organza, Dune, Dolce Vita, poison, hypnotic poison, Poeme, and Tresor. I’ve also had Amarige which is awesome and Sublime which is…sublime. Other notable ones even my husband still remembers fondly are RL Light Blue and Romance EDP.
Hi there. I’m not familiar with Sublime. Amarige is amazing and it should have been included in this video. I need to do an updated 90s perfumes video. Oh, yeah… Ralph Lauren has some amazing classics too. Thanks for watching!🙂
So glad you made this! I've had my eye on several of those on Fragrancenet but without any idea of what they were like i was reticent to get one just yet. You are extremely articulate and poetic in your descriptions! Lovely.

The 90s are indeed the golden era of parfumerie. So nice seeing so many of my mother’s favorites :) Is Organza in this video the new version? I’ve been wanting to get Organza for some time now, but I’m afraid to be disappointed by the latest reformulation…
Hello there. I used up that bottle last year. It was about 5 years old at the time. My current Organza is also an older tester bottle. The new version is slightly lighter in my experience. I hope this helps.🙂
Just discovered your channel and I love it! I have to say, your voice is sublime to listen to!! I love all of the fragrances that you mentioned. There is one though I haven’t heard of before ( can’t remember the name, but it is full bottle that you showed. The one beside the Cashmir bottle) I’m currently wearing Organza for fall. I never thought to try it in the warmer months! I love Cashmir (favourite vanilla scent) and Hypnotic Poison: very unique with a hint of root beer to it that I detect in it. I look forward to watching more of your content! 😊❤️
Hi there, that’s very kind of you to say, thank you. You must mean Yvresse, formerly called Champagne. Casmir and Hypnotic Poison are amazing. Believe it or not, I’ve no idea what root beer smells like but I know that a lot of people associate Hypnotic Poison with it.😁
Thank you! I was planning to do that video but I don’t think I own enough fragrances. I used up so many bottles in 2023. I’ll see but thank you for the video request.
I enjoyed this. Please keep showing your collection. I have four Lolita Lempicka fragrances which i think are modern and different. They are not long lasting but a good work fragrance.
Thank you, I will, there’s a lot more to show.🙂 Lolita Lempicka is such an underrated and affordable brand. Which four do you own if you don’t mind me asking?
Angel is iconic, it deserves to be mentioned. I filmed a short about Angel. I also like that one as well as Vanilla Fields which smells very similar to Cašmir. Thanks for watching!
Vintage Elie Saab le parfum didn't make your list. It's lovely. I just purchase vintage Organza by Givenchy. On me it's very subtle but beautiful. Maybe you can do a 1 to 1 comparison of popular vintage fragrance versus a killer designer or niche fragrance today. Why does everyone poo poo vintage fragrances. Have we changed that much? What is this mania about discontinuing popular fragrances and/or reformulating them? Is this all about money?
Thank you for watching and commenting. Which Elie Saab do you have in mind? Organza is just devine. Mine is a newer bottle but I also have a vintage mini (dark liquid), it’s ten times better. That’s a great idea.
It is all about money, unfortunately. Brands discontinue scents that no longer sell. Reformulations are another can of worms or Pandora’s box if you want. I don’t wish to open it too often as there is so much controversy about this issue. People tend to either believe it’s a myth or become convinced that all the great fragrances have already been ruined. I’m sort of in between. If I’m familiar with the vintage version I always tell you whether I think the new one is still any good. My collection is a mix of vintage, new formula vintage and new.
Hi there. I think talked about Chopard Casmir in this video. Sadly, I haven’t tried Love by Chopard but I hear it’s a great rose perfume. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, it means a lot that people are enjoying my videos, at first I didn’t think anyone would. I was eyeing it at one point but didn’t get it for some reason. Lutece is such a classic, I wonder whether it’s still produced. What do you think about Paris? Another stunning powdery rose violet scent. It is old fashioned though.
Yesterday I asked a local perfume seller in town which non mainstream scent would he recommend to gift my girlfriend and he recommended Dior Dolce Vita and Lancome Poeme. I haven't personally tested or smelled the perfumes for I asked him through message but do you personally think my GF (23 yo by the way) would love those two 90s scent? Thanks for the review, new sub here 😊
Hi there, and thank you for subscribing. 🙂 While these two scents are fantastic recommendations, I must honestly advise against them as blind buys or gift ideas for your 23-year-old girlfriend, unless you know she enjoys vintage fragrances. What other perfumes does she like?
@@lukeparfums Thank you for the feedback and sorry for the late reply Honestly we both are noobs in perfumery, she wears a little bit of everything and mostly local generic fragrances that wouldn't probably tell you anything (we are from Senegal by the way).Well I was thinking about bringing her to the perfume shop to try the scents herself and finds if she likes them first.
