ESTÉE LAUDER did some gorgeous scents in the older times. They were niche, before this word is even known. Fantastic.
Yessss! Please say THAT again! They made some amazing frags. 💖💖💖
@@VeronicaSayspleasures by Estee lauder is a nice one and also dazzling silver but it's been discontinued I think
@loveinautumn3978 love Pleasures! I pulled it from my vintage shelf and put it on my everyday fragrance shelf. 👍👍👍
Yes, they did. I’ve still so many of hers in my perfume drawer. I love Knowing - it’s such a strong scent , and lasts for hours. I made the mistake of spraying generously, when first spraying it, and and it was still there 2 days later! It’s my go to when I want to make a big impact.
Malle is doing reformulations
There was a perfume called Norell that my grandmother and mother both wore in the 70s, I can't even believe I recalled the name. I looked it up and it's still being produced (new from 95.00 to 300.00 for vintage used bottles) Notes listed as GALBANUM(?), bergamot, pear, jasmine, peony, orchid, gardenia, orris, vetiver, sandalwood, vanilla and musk. I recall it smelling heavenly and super feminine. love these type of videos - they make you recall all of the wonderful women in our lives. I can remember what my 1st grade teacher smelled like - I didn't know I knew until I first smelled amber in high school and it unlocked something in my brain, that was the scent in Ms. Hildebrant's classroom. All of my other teachers were nuns and Ms. Hildebrant was very feminine with the wavy feathered thick locks and the dark rouge. I've since found what I think smells exactly like what I remember in CLEAN Reserve's Amber Saffron. l can recall really discovering my love for scents when I started layering and got reactions from people around me, especially of the male persuasion. It was Sara Michaels' (a drugstore brand from the 90s) Seashore dry oil spray (on freshly showered skin) and then CKBe lotion on top of the oil. No parfumes - just the oil and lotion. That's when I got hooked. Been chasing the dragon ever since! I've actually mourned over discontinued scents. In high school, some of the nuns would say "enough with the perfumes, you smell like a bunch of hussies", lol. Girl I know we looked like it too circa 86-90 - higher the hair, the closer to God 😆
Love these memories!!! Thanks for sharing! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
VOL DE NUIT I want to buy vintage in November at the perfume flea market in Venlo, the Netherlands ❤
You get there all the vintage BOMBS in a perfect condition 😊
Oh how I wish I could shop at those markets! 💖💖💖
Love’s Baby Soft, Giorgio Beverly Hills, Jontue are ones I keep and smell in private to go back to specific times but I will never wear in public. I wish I could find the fragrance of the shampoo called Agree!
I can understand keeping but not wearing these out! 👍
Chantilly. OOOOOOOOOOO. White Linen, Mom's everyday scent. Chanel No. 5, her going out scent. Love you, miss you, Mom. 🥰🎨 Shalimar, my MIL's going out scent and the only perfume she wore. Too much for me. Miss you, M.
So proud of you, this was hard. 👑🏆
Awwww! 💕💕💕 This comment touched me. The memories 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for watching. 🥰
Poison by Christian dior is one I've enjoyed for many years, It's dark, mysterious and unique definitely a good one to wear in winter.😊
It sure is! Glad you're still enjoying it! 💖
Bug spray
The drydown of Poison is Heavenly!
So sweet smelling.
I LOVE your Eighties Week Series. Really took me back. I kind of never left.💖💎
Awww thank you. You are kind 💖🫶🥰
This video has been most enjoyable! I loved strolling down memory lane with her!
@@HarrisPilton789 you are so sweet! Thank you kindly! 💖💖💖
@VeronicaSays 😊 no not majie noir. I wore that to my senior prom. Definitely a keeper for this 56 year old
EDEN is the REAL ALIEN 😂❤
A green witch and the pretty fairy at the same time.
Loooooove it!
I'm glad you love it, Esther! 💖💖💖
@@VeronicaSays I was going to add Byblos, Patricia Fields (original round bottle w/roses on it) L'air Du Temps. Also, I used to love me some Design by Paul Sebastian. I used my mom's luxury cream once to shave my legs with and she was not happy with me. Perfumenet has it (so inexpensive, what's up with that mom, lol) - I'm going to get it for nostalgia purposes. I just remember it smelling like makeup or actually Finesse hairspray. Or maybe it's because I stole mom's EDT and it spilled in my LV doctor bag :P . I love your videos and speaking of old school scents, did you collect any old school VS or BBW scents?
@@GigiBellia no I don't collect those but I do have some current VS scents and enjoy them.
@@VeronicaSays Awe thanks for replying! It's so rare that the larger channels reply at all and you take the time for all of them. God Bless and enjoy your well deserved success.
@@GigiBellia thank you kindly 🥰💖🥰💖
I loved Eternity, Obsession, White Linen, Lauren, Colors by Benetton, Dulce Vita by Dior, Jessica McClintock, Liz Claiborne and Aspen perfume😊
Hi Judith! 🥰💖 Ah yes! Great list. Thanks for sharing.
OK so this is only the second video of yours I’ve watched. But this one really hits home for me. I grew up really poor and we didn’t have a lot of dolls and things like that but my sister and I were allowed to play with old bottles old, perfume, bottles, old medicine, bottles, my granddad collected bottles, My mom had some of the really cool Avon bottles we loved those perfume bottles. Perfume bottles have always been a thing in our family and all of us are scent collectors.
My grandmother wore Emeraude. It will always be close to my heart.
A few other cosmetic things that she had Tangie, for example old lipstick, and a compact.
My aunt who passed away about a year ago wore opium, and as she got older, she really didn’t have the money for that kind of thing, so I always have some on hand. I like to fill up little atomizers and send them to my family. She loved that and she tried a bunch of new niche fragrances that I’ve developed an unfortunate fondness for over the last decade. There’s no way I can get rid of that.
My mother wore Paloma Picasso for a period. She also wore Paris YSL I believe. It was in the round bottle with the, pink and black top. but my mom loves scent, so there isn’t really a special one I associate with her like with my grandmother.
My sister loved Anais Anais. I need that bottle on the shelf. Every time I see it I think of her. she passed away last year too young. For me, these scents are always a reminder.
I still have the first real bottle of perfume I ever bought. It’s a tiny little bottle of Miss Dior.
How can you get rid of Shalamar! Shalamar is the OG! That classic bottle. Yes, many people don’t like Coco.
One of my signature scents is Fracas but I cannot wear it around my mother. It makes her ill. I understand that perfectly. I like things that smell rotten. Good example, Frederic Maille carnal flower. I don’t know why I love it so much but I do I just do it’s the white flowers I’m just a sucker for them lol. the Bob Mackey that you had is not the Bob Mackie that I purchased in 1985 It came in a little black bottle and the smell was very very unusual, there was definitely tuberose and maybe gardenia in there but it also smelled a little bit like burnt balsamic. It was weird but strangely appealing I didn’t wear it frequently but I liked having it to smell. Yes, we are crazy aren’t we?… well, at least I know I’m not alone now. ❤
Awww thanks for sharing all these memories. Isn't it crazy how powerful the scent connection is to memory and nostalgia?
You are definitely not alone. Does anyone remember Jean Nate after bath spash.
Chantilly!! My sister wore that all the time! She had the lotion, powder, perfume spray, etc. It was HERS! When I got to be her age, I went in the opposite direction with "Tabu"... We were both "Dana" women, but on the opposite sides of that house. Thanks for the memories! .... and "O", of course (the original).
I love that - dueting and dueling fragrances from the same house! Oh my, the memories of the fragrances powders with the big puffs. 🥰💖🥰💖
White Linen is simply beautiful. Very feminine and clean. I love it.
Same here! 🙌🥰
It's my signature scent.
Yes ! It is often forgotten that our senses change as we get older 👍🏼
Right! But we blame it on the fragrance. Sometimes it's US! 🤭
I still love organza. I have the indecence version also that I still wear.
Hi Sharon! 💖 Yesss! I know several people who LOVE that flanker! 🥰
Amazing Oldtimers in your collection. Some I never used. Some I do love and still use today. Thx it was fun!!!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching 💖🥰
I relate to your opinions and love to listen to your voice. I think some things have changed in fragrance production. More women use to smoke and I think that affected how perfumes were formulated. Cheaper perfumes actually smelled better on smokers. I also have memory scents -Charles of the Ritz was a man magnet. Cabotine for an outdoor event with drindle skirt and Jack Roger’s sandals but now cannot spray even in the bathroom but an amazing perfume. I secretly like Pink Sugar deceptively sophisticated. Signature for me is Alien original. Always complimented. My first memory of being knocked off my feet by a fragrance was in high school. A cheerleader brought Youth Dew bath oil to school and dabbed everyone she passed with it. Incredible. Saved my money to finally buy. It’s been reformulated and is way off and nauseating to smell in a small area. I’ll never forget the original though. Also my date perfume with my husband - Shalimar. It almost made him drunk he loved it on me. Filled the car up with love. Smells exactly the same years later in the dry down. My husband passed away suddenly on Valentines Day 13 years ago. I take Shalimar out with a black Cashmere sweater and about an hour later something happens and I’m caught up in a euphoric womanly feeling. I will always have Shalimar.
Hi Lydia! 💖 Thanks for sharing these memories. I appreciate the power of Shalimar (and old school Youth Dew). You are totally right about the cigarette aspect - good point. My condolences on your husband's passing, albeit 13 years ago. May you find peace in his memory this week 🙏🙏🙏
I still wear Magie Noire in the winter. I have had several of these but lots were new to me. Thanks
I bet it smells great in cold weather. 🥰💖
I would love a part 2 to show the rest of your vintage collection. I am 30 and wear mainly vintage white florals and spicy Orientals.
Thank you so much! White florals and spicy are great categories to explore, especially in vintage. 🥰🥰🥰
Please name your spicy Oriental favorite. I am fairly new to perfumes.
I’m 31 but I LOVE vintage fragrances and watching updated videos about them! Something so enduring and nostalgic about them! I’m really intrigued with the Bijan fragrances because of the bottles! I’m a Elizabeth Arden fan as well! Thank you for this video, I’m taking notes!
Hi Zoe! 💖 You go, girl! Great fragrances cross all lines, including age. Glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰
You should def check out all the 80s omg I still ( and I’ve dated younger men ha but no more than ten hrs younger ha ) they loved those scents and poison is a fav by them! And oddly Chanel 5 at bedtime men seem to find it soothing !? Another fun 80s one I think it’s Boucheron? Also really nice bottles!
@@heavenj7 thank you!! I have Boucheron and Chanel No 5 on my list! You are right about a lot of men loving that one! It is a classic!
Try Lou Lou by Cacharel, it is very beautiful.
I also love EL Private Collection. I have worn it on and off since 1974.
Yes!! It's gorgeous. 💖
CK Eternity was another favorite of mine. I got so many compliments when I wore it. Calvin Klein was really groundbreaking with their unisex fragrances.
Yes! Calvin Klein made some waves in the fragrance world! 💖🥰
YES! ck one, truth, and contradiction are a few of my favorites by Calvin Klien
Eternity is still my everyday! I always get compliments on it and I've been wearing it for 30 years!! ❤️
Oh Giorgio Beverly Hills….you bring back memories!
Yessss! And I don't think it's been reformulated but I can't be sure. 😄💖🥰
Yes, it smelled like Exclamation or the Malibu Musk body spray. All of those remind me of being in the car w/my friends blasting the song "When I Hear Music" by Debbie Deb. And "Set it Off" . Those sweet smells all remind me of Freestyle music from the 80s/early 90s.
I wore ESTEE Leader's Cinnabar to a bonfire. Everyone was getting eaten alive by Huge mosquitoes, except me. I researched the scent, and discovered it included Patchouli, and that scent repels bugs. .I look for it every summer! AND Knowing was my daughter's go to, and she smelliied SO good always.
😲😲😲 I never knew that!
I loved Cinnabar!!!
@@Jujudeze22 As far as I know, Cinnabar is available. It hasn't been long since I got my last bottle, so I am ready for more.
I remembered getting that scent for my 16th birthday.
I am getting some ASAP...IT is truly a fall/ winter scent. I have been outsmarting mosquitoes all summer. When I'm brushing my teeth, I hear one humming near my head. I keep a damp tablecloth close. I shut the bathroom door...then twirl the tablecloth over my head very has, which blows them across the room. Have you ever heard a ticked off mosquito, LOLOL...THEY GET VERY LOUD. After flipping them a few times it gets quiet, and when I check the floor, they will be belly up! Success. If you buy a bottle of Pachiolli oil, and mix it with water, you can spray it around your bed, and they stay A W A Y! Pachiolli, is one of the notes in Cinnabar .
Hi! I enjoy your videos. This video takes me back to my first cosmetic position as a fragrance specialist at Marshal Fields during the 80’s & 90’s. I helped launch: Giorgio, Poison, Coco, Bijan, Paloma Picasso, Mackie, Safari, Amarige, Eternity, CK One, CK Be, Issey. And of course, ALIEN the original gourmand fragrance. I met Bob Mackie, Paloma Picasso and Oscar De La Renta - it was so exciting back in the day. ❤❤
Hi Stephanie! Thank you soooo much! And WOW! What a background in fragrance you have! Thanks for sharing 💖🥰
What a trip down memory lane! ❤
Hi Nora! 💖 Thanks for taking the memory stroll with me! 🥰
My great-grandmother wore Red Door. But she didn’t overspray and always smelled so good. ☺️
I love that! What a memory! 💖🥰
Girl yes! I remember my grandmother wearing that one also. I like the smell of it. It's nice for church, especially during fall winter seasons 😊
I always understood that Guerlain’s L’Heure Bleue, (which unbelievably dates from 1912), referred to that magic soft, velvety hour at sunset on a warm summer day, just at dusk when the colours fade to blue, and when the air is filled with the scent of flowers like violets, heliotrope and Iris (blue flowers, all of which are in this scent, along with many others). I believe it was the favourite scent of the late Queen Elizabeth ll. I have some, but rarely use it as I find it a bit overpowering for me, and it shows it’s powdery age, but oh my goodness it’s strong, and I think is well named. I have Guerlain’s Shalimar too, which dates from 1925 and is also an amber fragrance. Again I just can’t get on with it, as on me it has a slightly antiseptic vibe. Do love Chanel’s Coco though, it’s so pretty, and adore Red Door, and especially Safari. However I’d agree - Chanel number 5 is THE scent, with its aldehydes bomb! Thank you so much for another great video.
Hi Beth! 💖 I hear different stories about L'Heure Bleue. I like the rendition you've heard - sounds melancholy in a romantic sort of way. I ended up putting my Shalimar up for sale. Beautiful as it is, it really is QUITE a lot for me to handle. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on some of these! 💖
51 yrs old and my Spotify, pandora, iTunes, Amazon every music platform has a 70s, 80s, 90s playlist. From soft rock, hard rock, jazz, rhythm, blues you name it. Can listen all day bother unbothered by folks who m listening 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Great Video V.❤❤❤
Me toooooo, Rhonda! 💖 I love music from across genres for all of these decades. That's right! Jam out to your own playlists. Love it! 💯💯💯
Best music ever!🎉🎉🎉 You have a magnificent taste and sence of great music 💃🏻🌟🌺
Eden is my jam! I love smelling it when it rains. I can smell it's complexity.
Awesome! It's pouring here right now as I read your comment. 🥰
My aunt kept Emeraude and Youth Dew on her dressing table and I used to sneak up there and use it. Good memories. And you have Safari! I LOVED that in the day. Lsuren too. My mom wore Chanel No. 5 -- my dad would get her a bottle every Xmas. And we both loved Poison.
Oh wow! I love all of the memories. Thanks for sharing 🥰💖
Obsession was my jam. It was so different than anything else on the market. I have an old formulation because what it is today is not the same. My old wears were Obsession, Blue Waltz, Baby Soft, Yves Rocher Venice, Navy, Guess Original, LouLou & Lou Lou Blue, Safari, Red Cap, Tresor, Yardley Baroque, EXCLAMATION, Les Belles de Ricci, Allure, Balenciaga Talisman, Samsara, Le Feu d'Issey, Coco, Hypnotic Poison, Iceberg Effusion, Angel, Addict, Diesel unisex, Moschino Couture!, Tuscany Per Donna, . AP does have a skank opening I remember! My roomate wore Red Door too!
Hi Kathleen! 🥰💖 I so wish I had a vintage formulation of Obsession! Thanks for sharing so many gems from your past with us! That spanking opening on Agent Provocateur is like... WHEW! 😂😂😂
Obsession is the first perfume my husband bought me ❤

Love love the Coco’s!
They are classics!
I was an 80s teen too. I'm with you on Amarige, Chantilly, Obsession, Shalimar and more. The hallways of my high school were a fragrance battleground of Obsession vs Beautiful. Unfortunately Beautiful usually won. It's a wonder any of us could breathe!
Hi Kristabel! 💖 Seriously?! How did we not have more frequent asthma attacks at school? 😆😆😆
@@nancymarkiewicz8123 I believe it does, yes.
I wore Beautiful and my mom wore White linen. Nice memories
@sherylwickenheiser2582 I gave Beautiful to my mom a huge bottle of it,it just wasn't my fragrance....you have to feel something out for it to be really special for you to wear...and that's how I felt when I wore Obsession,Giorgio,Bijan, and I always liked Red but on other people, and when I smelled Oscar De la Renta (but I never got some)...but my neighbor had the pure perfume in her bathroom and a friend wore it to work and you could smell it all through the store just wafting through the air it was a heavenly smell, and my ex brother in law got some for my sister Sherry one Christmas,I also gave her a huge bottle of Chanel No 5,but she was originally given some by her boss.
And these fragrances are some of the one's that help connect me to the past like Halston and a bottle of Toujours Moi by Dana that I got for my sister Tina but she passed away in 2001,and my sister Sherry who also passed away but in 2017 she wore Chanel No 5 and Oscar de la Renta and they were both so young Tina only 43 and Sherry was 57.
I am the same age too. I wore beautiful even though it was a bit much for me. I remember some of my friends would wear Anais Anais and I would gag. When the 90s rolled around sunflowers and happy came out and fragrances were much lighter. I really like my gourmands today a lot better but I still get warm fuzzy feelings from those 80s fragrance bombs.
For me the 80s Cacharel Anais Anais and Nina Ricci L'air du Temps are iconic, super popular in Europe back then
Issey ,Amarige, light blue , eternity, escape ,gucci envy ,Bob Macky are keepers for me
Gucci Envy! 💖 Oh the memories! 🫶🫶🫶
Love Amarige. Was my signature scent for years. Still have it and need to revisit it.
I still very Organza and Amarige. And love them, really love!
Amarige is an all time love for me! 💖
Have you tried Ysatis? I used to wear it and spray it on like there’s no tomorrow. You couldn’t tell me nothing. I think people around me were suffocating 😅😂😂
I've never worn Ysatis. Yes, we used to douse ourselves in these obnoxious fragrances day in and day out! 😆😆😆
Love ot. Has good staying power.
I remember Ysatis. I owned it!
😂😂😂... INDEED.
🙋🏻♀️80’s teen too - generation x representing 😂
Sarah Mayes did a nostalgic video too and I just am so grateful you both took the time to do these. A definite time trip!!! Poison in my high school was the rich girl’s perfume - I could afford Dewberry by Body Shop and those two scents take me straight back to grade 10. As well as Navy, Exclamation, Jovan Musk.
My parents gifted me Ralph Lauren Safari for Christmas one year as well as Christian Dior Dune. I felt like such a queen wearing those fragrances!
So true about OG Poison. I loved Oceanus from Body Shop. So many wonderful memories with those Body Shop perfumes.
Yesss! These videos are definitely fun trips to the past. Thanks for sharing some of your fragrance memories with us. Dune is SPECIAL! Love it. 🥰🥰🥰
@@dana.gold5 right? I still have Fuzzy Peach & Ananaya. Beautiful perfume oils. My bestie was a Body Shop White Musk girl!
I used to wear Clinique Aromatics and Calyx and the original Estee Lauder Spellbound.
Hi Linda! 💖 I wore Clinique Aromatics a couple of times. Everyone hated it on me! 🥴😩 I forgot about Spellbound! Wow!
Clinique aromatics is the only fragrance my husband can smell. Was just talking about it the other day.
I wore Emeraud in the late 60s. It was an oriental with a mint note. It was wonderful!
I wish I had the original version!
😮😮😮This is so cool. I'm 28 but vintage fragrances are some of my biggest obsessions in my whole collection. Amarige is probably my favorite. Light Blue Edt reminds me of my tutor from middle school☺. Great video!
Thank you so much! 💖🥰 Enjoying vintage fragrances at 28 - 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My comment has nothing to do with perfume- Just so happy to hear that you were a teacher....🌹Blessings , from a fellow teacher❤
Awwww thank you! And BLESSINGS right back to you! Nobody understands what being a teacher means - the trials, tribulations, and joys - like another teacher. Hugs! 💖💖💖

Amarige, is absolutely stunning
Absolutely! 💯
It was my signature scent in the early 90's, loved it!
Just threw on Amarige. Go vintage! Acqua di Gio is my warm weather favorite.
Amarige is FABULOUS!! 🥰🥰🥰
I’m curious to see if you’re going to mention Casmir by Chopard. It was so pretty & I got so many compliments ❤️
I had and sold Casmir. It's nice but I also have Hanae Mori and Ylang in Gold which scratch the same itch for me. 👌👌👌
Ooh, I owned Casmir, also.
My favorite perfume was Oscar by Oscar de la Renta but after getting covid I no longer gravitate towards it.
The original Opium was the sexiest, most wonderful perfume ever! YSL absolutely trashed it with their new formulation. I'm old enough to remember when it first came out, you could by it in drugstores....then they realized people would pay department store prices for it, it was so good 😂.
My mom had the original Opium and I agree - that reformulation is fine on its own as a fragrance but it lacks the oomph the original had. 👍👍👍
Ysatis by Givenchy is also really good my little sister liked to wear Eternity,Amariage, and Dune...but it's like after she gets dome wearing something she doesn't wear it anymore except for the Orginal Burberry, and Prada Candy, and I like some of Tova Borgnine's fragrances but not all and when I had gotten this one set I kept 2 out that I wanted and gave 1 to my mom and the other to my sister and they really liked them!

These brought me backkk 🥺🤯as a kid in the 80s I had Tribe, Baby Soft, Malibu Musk. but perfume peeked my interest more as a teen. Through the years I loved Alyssa Ashley Musk, Exclamation, Juba / White Musk from the Body Shop, Arden Sunflowers, Clinique Happy, Coolwater, L'eau d'issey, Alyssa Ashley Green Tea Essence, Ck Eternity, Ghost by Ghost, the Victoria Secret Heavenly mist, DKNY Women, Light Blue, Be Delicious, Amazing Grace. I had a friend who rocked Calyx tooo Do you remember Ocean Dream btw??
Wow! You mentioned so many good ones from that era. I don't think I remember Ocean Dream. Who made that?
I just looked it up - Giorgio Beverly Hills. It smelled just like the ocean. 🌊@@VeronicaSays
My mother had Opium by YSL. Discontinued but you can buy some bottles still. I find it absolutely beautiful! My mother's doctor from Brasil was mesmerized when she wore it once.
The original Opium was a force to be reckoned with! Very strong! 💖💖💖
My mom wore L'eau d'Issey religiously when I was a teenager and it pulls on my heartstrings whenever I smell it. I have memories of her wearing Anais-Anais when I was a baby and I think Vanilla Fields too. My grandma had bottles of Chantilly and White Linen, Pleasures, l'Effleur, Design, Shalimar, Norell, Wind Song, Jovan white musk, Jontue, Spellbound, Beyond Paradise, chanel coco, white diamonds, Tendre Poison :))). I kept all her bottles when she passed. Haiku was one of my first ever bottles and later I loved Juba oil from TBS 🥰☺ (+ Satsuma/White musk/ and Strawberry ) and in college I got into the Naomi Campbell perfumes, Laguna, Armani Lei, Gucci Rush, VS Rapture, Amber Romance, Maybe Baby, Guess Woman, LAMB from gwen stefani.
Hi Lauren! 🥰💖 Awwww what memories! Between your mom, grandmother, and yourself, that is quite a list of old school beauties. 🫶🫶🫶
I love Chantilly. I'm going to have to wear her today. Such a childhood comforting smell. Fun video ❤
Obsession was so nice back in the day. I use tea rose for my room spray, though it offends my cats, lol.
Coco used to be a signature scent for me. I could never let that go. My husband didn't like perfume at all. I only wore it when I went out on my own. That's probably why I still have some, but I'd love to find another vintage bottle. Really fun running through these with you.
Hi Tina! 💖 Glad you enjoyed the video! Your poor cats! LMBO! That's hilarious 😂 I like your idea of wearing Coco on your own. What a classic smell. 🫶🫶🫶
Hi there, I do recall ALL of these! In the early 90s I had Realities, Volupte, Samba, and the Claiborne triangular bottle🤭 In the mmid-90s I wore Eternity which was hot at that time, and late 90s into early 2000s I got into Gap Om and Dior Sweet Sun
Lucky you savored an old L'eu d'Issey bottle that smell is so timeless🙏
Oh wow! The triangle bottle! I remember 💖🥰 Eternity was definitely allllll the rage! I'm glad to have the original L'eau d'Issey. 🎊🎊🎊
It’s a total joy to watch your videos!
Thank you soooo much! 💖🥰💖🥰
I wore Paloma Picasso, Lou Lou, Colors, and Chanel no.5. Also loved Poison, but never actually bought it.
Hi! 🥰 You wore some of the classics. 💖
This video brought back SO MANY memories! I used t wear Chantilly and Calyx (and Charlie which you did not mention) in my most youthful years. When I worked at a fashion magazine in the 80's all the editors wore Lauren and Fracas, but the most elegant lady at the magazine wore Knowing, which I never liked. My late husband loved when I wore White Linen. I have not been able to wear it since he passed away. Thanks for this!
Were the Headquarters are in New York?
@@patr70 Yes. The magazine HQ was in NYC.
Hi there! 🥰 Oh my goodness! The power 80s in NYC (shoulder pads era) - something to truly behold! I can understand not wearing White Linen again. 🙏💕 I never wore Charlie but did purchase a flanker of the original a couple of years ago.
I recently bought the Dua inspired version of the Vintage Vol de Nuit. I have no idea what the original smells like, but the version I own is absolutely gorgeous.
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing 🙏💖🥰
Paloma Picasso used to be my signature fragrance.
How LOVELY! 💖💖💖
I just bought my first bottle of paloma picasso. I love it but it's not very long lasting. How do you get it to last longer?
I loved RD and got NO complaints that and poison that peeps complain about?? On me ? I get tons of compliments they work super well on me..men loved them !!!
That's wonderful! 🥰🥰🥰
Ah the memories! I wore some of these: Obsession, Poison, but also Paloma Picasso and Anais Anais, which no know ever mentions.
Hi Ellen! 💖 I wore Anais Anais in high school and have mentioned it on my channel, but sold my little bottle. It was too much for me in my older age! 😆 What a powerhouse floral!
My daughter bought a bottle of Anais Anais at Christmas-time so we all could know for ourselves what it smelled like.
We were unified that it was a horrific fragrance!!!
I bought Cabotine (and Cabotine Rose) recently. I really enjoyed Cabotine and will wear it frequently...but Cabotine Rose is a "no go"!!!
Anais anais and lou lou bring back memories of when Boots drug store still existed in Canada.
I love Anais Anais I still wear it but it's hard to find.
I am so happy that this video reached 2,000 👍 It is well deserved. I enjoyed watching this😊. I'm a Gen Z-er born in 1997 so I am not familiar with some of these beautiful-sounding scents that you mention. My first bottle of perfume was Vera Wang Princess.
My mom wore Perry Ellis 360 when I was a baby and I still have her vintage bottle. Every time I sniff it I am transported back in time to her tucking me into bed. my grandma really loved Passion by Elizabeth Taylor. my step-dad wore Photo by karl lagerfeld and some sort of Nivea aftershave with a pungent oceanic smell.
Thank youuuuu 🥰🥰🥰 Awwww I lovvve the memories you shared! So sweet. 🥹
This Veronica LOVES and will always have No.5 in my perfume wardrobe. Shalimar as well! Ysatis by Givenchy was my first fragrance as a 17 year old in 85. Some classics rule. Thank you for bringing back wonderful memories!
Hi Veronica! 💖 How wonderful! You wore some really classics. 🥰🥰🥰
Yes. Ysatis!
Oh Red Door 😷, my joy is still Shalimar as nostalgia and winter joy. My 80’s were Alyssa Ashley then Madame Rochas . Missed your lovely self❤️🧡xx
Hi there! 💖 Great to see you in the comments. Thank you so much! Rochas had and still has some beauties!
Such difficult choices but bring back that Shalimar.
I tried it one more time and... it's a no for me. 🥴
What a fun video! I wore and loved Lauren and Tatiana in the early 80s. In the late 80s I loved Ysatis. A friend in college wore Paloma Picasso and it always wafted out of her dorm room and I loved it. I also loved Calvin Klein Red in the early 80s.
Hi Katherine! 💖 Oh lovely! The perfume wafting from the dorm room is such a vibe! I miss those days. 🥰🥰🥰
Yes, Tatiana. I had forgotten all about that fragrance. Loved it.
Ahhh looking back at the late teens and early young adult years surely left at a blink of an eye 👁️. I wore a lot of Liz Claiborne in that came in the yellow, red or blue triangular bottles lol
Oh my God, yes! They flew by, no?! 🥺😩 Liz Claiborne fragrances were super popular! 👍👍👍
I remember Chantilly being on my mom's dresser. The minute I saw the bottle and heard the name, I had an instant flashback lol! Red Door by Elizabeth Arden is a memorable one. When I was a child in the 90s I remember my mom used it as well. She recently gifted me a bottle of red door lmao! I smelled the atomizer and it automatically brought me back to being a little kid and smelling it on her back then. Because of that, I only keep it for nostalgia's sake. I could never wear it as it would give me a giant headache! Also she loved her Giorgio Beverly Hills lol that bottle brings back memories.
Awww I love the memory associations with fragrances. Red Door was and still is a powerhouse. Keeping it for nostalgia makes sense! 🥰💖🥰💖
💜💜 this video! Took me back to my youthful, innocent days when I used to indulge in *choking-me-out* scents. My mom had Chantilly. I use to LOVE Sand & Sable perfume way back in the days. The original Red Door was EVERYTHING! 💜
Hi Kerri! 💖 Glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰 So many wore Red Door! It was everywhere for sure. I owned Sand & Sable at one point also. 😄
Yes! I forgot about Sand and Sable! That was a high school favorite! Both Red and Red Door were good, and they were very similar.
I have about 11 of those vintages, and still love them so much. I love that you started with Amarige because it was my 90s signature scent. I love my arpege but only on my vanity. It would take major balls to wear now. Obsession has changed so much. I stilll have the original as well as current, but it still is my absolute favourite.
Hiii! 💖 Obsession is just not the same. 😫 Amarige? You can ABSOLUTELY rock it now! Wear it! 🎉🎉🎉
Omg thank you for bringing me so much joy on this Sunday!!! this is THE BEST video I watched this year. I'm remembering all these scents you're mentioning and wow it is just taking me back. First of all Michael by MK was THE scent in the early 2000s for me and my girlfriends. It solidified my love for white florals and it, gosh, it brings me back to some amazing moments!! I wish I had bottles of Michael today.
Ck Obsession! I never wore it but it's impossible to forget that one. It was all the rage. Just like Angel, Obsession was too bombarding for me, it made me feel ill. 🤢 I loved Amarige, though. Chantilly!!!!! 🤣 Yesss ofc I remember! And my Aunt and my close friend wore Red Door!
😂 Looking back at my fragrance history is cringe, to say the least. When I was 19 I worked at this store called "Garden Botanika" - they made a perfume called "Heart" and as saleswomen we were always told to douse ourselves in Heart. It was a pink juice and I believe it's still available today.
I was so basic with my perfumes back then: I loved Tommy Girl, Cool Water, Morning Glory, Adidas Moves Her, Happy, Candie's, Jasmine Therapy, Satsuma, Country Apple, Juniper Breeze, Plumeria, Pear Glace, Vanilla Lace, Lovespell, Strawberries + Champagne, Gap Dream, Vanilla Musk, Fire&Ice.... I bought a bottle of Chanel Coco when I was 23 and it was my first "womanly" perfume. It was very pricey for me at the time, but I just remember feeling so beautiful and grown in it, and my college boyfriend loved it on me. My Mother wore Elizabeth Arden White Diamonds :))) and Blue Grass.
💕
Awwww thank you for this comment! It is so touching and makes all the work of these videos worthwhile! I owned Heart from Garden Botanika but recently decluttered it, only because it was light. BUT! What a lovely scent. Thanks for sharing your memories!
Of course I have most of these fragrances and I love them all so much. I can agree with you on the ones you’re parting with and I commend you for being able to declutter. Great review V!!!
Hi Tammie! 💖 Thanks for hopping over to watch! Glad you're with me on these decisions. 🥰
Wow! I can’t believe how many of the great vintage fragrances you and your commenters mention. So much more than the supposed vintage loving male channels.
Drakkar was one of my starter faves along with Eau Sauvage, Pour Monsieur, Pierre Cardin , Armani etc etc. As for girlfriends starters would be Body Shop White Musk, Anais Anais, J’ai Óse, Fidji, white Linen and the ever beautiful Magie Noire. Now you’re talking with Obsession…phew! Great memories and then you pull out Agent Provocateur, dirty , sexy but beautiful, the flankers are great too. I could go on but will spare you my waffle.
Btw, that Magie Noire bottle is the newer version…get hold of the oil (huile)…that is something else.
Yes, we went through a bunch in this video! 🥰 I wore Anais Anais to death once upon a time. Has Fidji but didn't love it. Would love to have Magie Noire oil! 👍👍👍
Chantilly was my jam too!!! I even had the powder!!! I got rid of my Fidji and Oscar de la Renta and I still regret it!!!!
Oh yeah, the powder! Wow! Memories 💖🥰
I've been looking for a video exactly like this!! Woke up and said "YES!!!!" when I saw you posted it. 🙌😁🙌
Awww WONDERFUL! THANK YOU! 💖🙏🥰
So many memories I didn’t expect came up with this video! My mum (and me as a teenager) had so many of these perfumes and only now remembered most of them! My signature scent that everybody knew me for was Cabotine. I still have a bottle purely for nostalgia. All my teenage years are connected to this scent. Love this type of videos :)
Hi Maria! 💖 I love how perfume is so intimately connected to memories. Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed it. 🥰🥰
Hi Veronica! This video was too much fun! Please put your original Bijan back up on the shelf! I don’t know how many bottles I wore and gifted back in the day. The bottle is iconic. I hate that I didn’t keep my last bottle of Chaos by Donna Karan when it was discontinued (another fragrance with carnation). I’ve never liked Shalimar, but it’s a classic and the bottle is so beautiful. I wore and gifted many bottles of White Linen. I recently decluttered and gave mine away to a friend. I’m glad you decided to keep Paloma Picasso. I always received a lot of compliments when I wore it. It was one of my mother’s favorites too and I would buy her a bottle every year. She’s still living, but has Alzheimer’s and no recollection of those times.😢 - Ms. Charlette
Hi Charlette! 💖 Sending hugs about your mom! You are not alone, and I know how heartbreaking it is. 🙏🙏🙏 I totally forgot to mention the Donna Karan fragrances! Wow. Memories. Shalimar's bottle is DIVINE. I wish I could wear the fragrance more often. 🥴
Hi Veronica! Thank you for your virtual hug and kind words.🙏🏾🙏🏼 - Ms. Charlette
Ô... Calvin Klein 's perfumes bring me to my high school years....❤❤
Absolutely! Good ol' Calvin Klein! 🙌
Thank you for taking me on a fantastic trip down memory lane! My mom still has her bottle of White Shoulders that she got it in 1964, and it will always remind me of my childhood in the 70s and 80s. I only have a few of my earliest fragrances still today-Eau Fraiche from Elizabeth Arden, Sung, and Chanel #5. What I would give to smell Safari again-I loved it so much! I also used to wear Calyx and loved Samsara. I worked next to the fragrance counters in a department store in the late 80s and early 90s, so I got tons of samples back then.
Thank you so much! 💖 Ah, White Shoulders! Wow! What memories. 🥰 Samsara I had to sell. It was wearing ME. 🥴 I loved visiting the perfume counter back when. Felt like such a glamorous activity for a young girl! 💖💖💖
I'm wearing White Shoulders today! Total fave!
@medusabeheaded I loved Elizabeth Arden’s Eau Fraiche Body Basics! The whole Jr High Drill Team and Cheer Squad used it or Liz Claiborne in the triangle bottles. I loved Eau Fraiche!!
Ralph Lauren Safari was my signature in the early 90s. I can’t even remember what it smelled like. Lol
Thank you for this video, Veronica. I learned a lot and I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for your kind comment! 💖🥰
Ok, I LOVED this video! I really enjoy your stories - the best part of visiting our vintage fragrances! So fun! I wore Tea Rose and Chanel No.5 in college, yes! And that Oscar de la Renta was everywhere in the department store I worked in during the early 80’s. I have a few older ones too, just for nostalgia. Many thanks for a superb video, Veronica! Love!❤️🌹
Hi Julie! 💖 Thank you soooo much! Glad we could enjoy a few memories together! 🥰🥰🥰 No 5 in college - whew! You were a classy university student!
Esprit de Oscar I just got. It was $30 on Amazon
We used Emeraud in high-school in the disco days of the 70s! It was all we could afford!😂 My cousin gave me the gift set one Christmas, which included dusting powder. I treated myself to a bottle recently because I was feeling nostalgic. It smells pretty much the way I remember it. Oh the memories!🥰
Awww that's a great memory! 🥰🥰🥰
Ooo I forgot about perry ellis 360 lol
Oh yes! That one was very popular! 😄
PE 360 was my jam! The baddies of that era wore it. Lol
Wooow all those vintage scents😍😍😍 Light Blue was the scent back in the day. 😊🍋🌊
Back to 1980s: I love it. My Dad wore, and still rocks, the Jovan White Musk for Men (a total cheapie but goodie!) and the old school Armani Eau Pour Homme. My mom had a never ending collection over the decades😅. I know she loved Marykay Angelfire, Tea Rose, Heaven Sent, Emeraude, Jovan Musk, Gucci 3, Fred Hayman, Chantilly, Oscar de la Renta, among others. 💗 I truly enjoy your channel!💓, Danya
Thank you, Danya! 🥰🥰🥰 I'm still a fan of Light Blue - a beautiful and ground breaking fragrance for its day. Sounds like your parents really loved fragrances and had many classics!
Love this video and all the scent memories! I will always associate Obsession with my lovely Aunty Marilyn who wore it throughout the 80's. I remember going into the big department stores in Canada at the time (The Bay and Eaton's) and the perfume counters were an absolute wonderland to me.
Thank you so much! 💖 Yes, perfume counters were a "wonderland" for us in our youth! I love the memory associations of perfume! 🥰
I used to work for Estee Lauder Nordic back in the late eighties and it came with benefits. Youth Dew nearley knocked me out
Youth Dew is very strong! 😬😯
I used to wear D&G Red Cap back then. Too bad it's not the same anymore. 🌹
Sometimes the reformulations just ruin the fragrance. 😩
Oh boy one of my first bottles was, I think, Animale...😳😳😂. It was loud loud loud. Talk about cringe😉. I liked Avon Far Away and the Liz Claiborne in the red triangle. VS Vanilla Lace was THE vanilla perfume back then I remember the smell so vividly. I also adored Poison but it was a little out of my price range. I wasn't gaga over Estee Lauder perfumes but Pleasures line was lovely. Addict though was the bomb! It was a love at first sniff, so dense and heady! I went through bottles!
Ahhhh yes! You had some classics. Love this! I never had the first one but remember how pungent it was on others. 😄😄😄
Oh, organza... I sooo wanted the dress from the add...
Right? Those old school ads were so lovely.
What a beautiful collection ❤ some of those perfumes reminds me such memories 😊 thanks for sharing
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video. 🥰
i love love Eden for a long time, it smells super different on me than green or plastic like, on my skin smells so good a lot of people ask what it is. I adore it!
Glad it works on you!! 🥰💖🥰💖
Obsession wafted through my high school. I liked it for night, but during the day? To spicy and smoky. I liked Chloe and Lauren for day.
You are so right. Obsession, the original formulation, was perfect for night (not day!). We wore it anyway, though 😆
Hi there, I love these memories and stories you have with fragrance. Amarige is truly timeless and probably my favorite from this list. So many girls/women wore that one for a reason - 🤍🤍🤍I'm instantly transported back to my summer camp, the year was 1997. Red Door takes me back to seniors at my high school covering cigarette smoke and it permeating the bathrooms👀- No thanks. I really tried to love Obsession when it was popular but I never could get on board with that one. But I do have fond associations with it and I've encountered certain women who smell amazing wearing it. Magie Noire has always smelled fecal to me😔 I loved this video a lot. We have similar taste🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much! 💖 Glad you enjoyed the video, and sorry that it raised memories of yucky overpowering scents in high school bathrooms! 😆😆😆 Amarige is definitely timeless. 🥰
Hi Veronica - I’ve watched the majority of your old videos and they are really great. I wore Calyx, White Linen, Obsession, Dune and Poison back in the day. I still have a bottles of Dune and Poison but honestly don’t reach for them often. So many amazing trend-setting bottles here!
Awwww thank you so much! 💖 It's nice to have some of these even if they are only worn here or there. They are fun to have! 🥰🥰🥰
I’ve gotta try Agent Provocateur. It is always described as so scandalous. Intriguing!
That opening is... 🥴🥴🥴
I shot a vintage SAFARI last year: in love ❤
You are LUCKY! Awesome stuff! 💖🥰
I'm SO happy to have found your page! I'm 42 and have been a perfumista my whole life. With the young girls running fragrance media, it's nice to come across someone who knows the perfumes that I know. So, I have to tell you finding this video has made my day!!! New subscriber ❤
Hiiii! 🥰💖 Awww. Welcome to this corner of YT. There are a few of us more... eh... seasoned ladies kicking around on here, too. 🙏🙏🙏
@@VeronicaSays LOL you are hilarious! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy many current fragrances, but it's nice to connect w someone that if I ask, "is it Magnetism, Sensi, or Hypnotic Poison sweet" you know what I'm talking about 🤣
