Ford Mondeo MMT6 gearbox rebuild. | Jaguar X Type and Volvo V50 (2002 - 2010)

This six speed gearbox(MMT6) was difficult to shift to 1st 3rd and reverse gears, Though second hand gearboxes were available in market I didn't want to risk for quality. After this refurbishment gearbox became smooth to shift and not whined a bit during drive.
For some people hammering the bearing can make question my work, Though leading bearing manufacturers agreed on it. Hydraulic press is not suitable everywhere in my opinion.

Great work man! I have a Kuga with the same MMT6 transmission which has a bit of play in between the input shaft and driveshaft output to the weels. Turning the driveshafts by hand back and forth I can hear a little clunking in the gearbox in neutral stage. I see your gears have something similar (at

Meu câmbio desse modelo na ecosport faz barulho em ponto morto, ja troquei os rolamentos internos, volante bimassa mas o barulho insiste, só para quando piso na embreagem, será que posso colocar um óleo com especificação mais grossa, o 75 w acho muito fino para o Brasil sendo um pais muoto quente, percebo que com o câmbio frio não faz barulho, quando aquece faz
