I was born and raised in Liberia, West Africa, grew up in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, where we sang all these songs and more!! Beautiful singing! God be praised!!

Yesterday in fasting service we sang this song before going down on our knees pray. When we went down on our knees to pray I found myself just singing this song.
My husband died 4 years ago of a major heart attack. We were good members of the Lds church. Now I am with a boyfriend who turned his back on the church . I want so much to have my good Lds life back.This song means so much. It’s humbling and reminder of just how much I love him and need my savior. All I want is a good full life in the church I love so much. This helps me to have hope that I am on the right path.

Though my brain told me that I had better things to do with my time, I found myself clicking on this video. Though it lasted 5 minutes and 51 seconds, it made me feel as if time had just stopped for me to get a message from this. I used to be mormon, and though I have to say there is no version of myself, where i see myself happily stayin in the church, the foundation it gave me to learn ans discover my savior has been the very core beauty of my life. This song has literally taken powerful temptations away from me. The part in the second verse when the women sing "temptations lose their power" is the most powerful part in the song in my opinion. The power of their unity in singing to the Lord dispels any magnitude of temptation.

When I need it, I am reflecting on the blessings of God and for being grateful to his infinite love, my heart rejoices for such actions of gratitude. Whenever I hear the way the instrumental is played and the choir comes to me, it is a nostalgic moment of joy but also of longing. My grandfather was the founder and conductor of choir for over 60 years. Listening to this hymn brings me those moments that I could have learned from him ... What I know and am learned from my grandfather .... I miss that time. Today he meets the Eternal Lord and Father in heaven ....

I was born into the LDS church 70 years ago. I am the very last of that pioneer generation that crossed the plains from 1848 to 1853. My great grandfather is Lorenzo Snow, I'm related to Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, Eliza Roxy Snow, the Meachams, the Bigelows and the Derbys. I am so proud of my courageous ancestral families. They were my models for leading a good and moral life. I am LDS and always will be.
This choir is super,angelic and marvelous. The dressing fit their voices. Indeed the Lord every minute especially after losing my beloved husband Isaac three years ago.

This song has literally taken powerful temptations away from me. The part in the second verse when the women sing "temptations lose their power" is the most powerful part in the song in my opinion. The power of their unity in singing to the Lord dispels any magnitude of temptation.

When I need it, I am reflecting on the blessings of God and for being grateful to his infinite love, my heart rejoices for such actions of gratitude. Whenever I hear the way the instrumental is played and the choir comes to me, it is a nostalgic moment of joy but also of longing. My grandfather was the founder and conductor of choir for over 60 years. Listening to this hymn brings me those moments that I could have learned from him ... What I know and am learned from my grandfather .... I miss that time. Today he meets the Eternal Lord and Father in heaven ....

I was born into the LDS church 70 years ago. I am the very last of that pioneer generation that crossed the plains from 1848 to 1853. My great grandfather is Lorenzo Snow, I'm related to Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, Eliza Roxy Snow, the Meachams, the Bigelows and the Derbys. I am so proud of my courageous ancestral families. They were my models for leading a good and moral life. I am LDS and always will be.
This choir is super,angelic and marvelous. The dressing fit their voices. Indeed the Lord every minute especially after losing my beloved husband Isaac three years ago.
