What is most important to her is her family time and she loves and supports her fans and other artists as well. She was just blessed with such a beautiful voice and has the best personality and caring soul there is. On every stop of her "StoryTeller" tour. The audience was waiting for her to do this song. Hearing about her performance is one thing. But watching her to do this song in concert. This performance was well worth the ticket price.
And the best part, is that for the first time, Carrie asked the crowd to sing with her. And the audience didn't, but that was the best decision, the audience made. It got Carrie befuddled, you could tell, she was singing, but like why aren't you singing with me. And it turned out a show-stopping performance and when she was done, she got a standing ovation and Carrie got completely embarrass by it. I know, I saw her twice during this tour and both times. Carrie said Oh! My goodness. Standing ovation lasted for three minutes.
This performance was exquisite. I love the choices she makes in this rendition. She was both delicate and strong with her delivery. This was a moment. I wish she would record this version just to hear it without the noise from the audience. This felt somehow simultaneously very similar and different than Dolly or Whitney’s versions.
Never going to happen, Carrie has too much respect for Dolly to do that. Main reason, Carrie recorded "I Told You So" she never except it to go No. 1 for her. Carrie apologize to Randy Travis for it doing that. And Randy had no problem with it, actually that is why he allowed Carrie to record it.

When Carrie covers and performs another artist's music, she usually hits it out of the park. I've heard her cover artists ranging from Guns n Roses, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, and Coldplay to Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, and Reba McEntire and she's ALWAYS delivered. The cover of Randy Travis's "I Told You So" was magical. Her rendition and delivery of "How Great Thou Art" on the Women of Country Music Special told the world to take notice, the farm girl from Checotah, Oklahoma had arrived. I've watched her fame and fortune grow exponentially and all the while she's stayed true to her roots, herself, and most importantly, her fans.
I really don't think Carrie realizes how good she does on this song. The audience does realize how good of performance she does. Every time, she does it, she receives a standing ovation and you can tell, how embarrassed Carrie is.

Before listening to this, I was concerned that Carrie's rendition of this wonderful song would be a poor second to Whitney's. Boy was I wrong!! This is just as hauntingly beautiful. Great, great job! And thanks to Dolly's wonderful talent.
I was thinking the same the same way. She didn't even come close to giving a Whitney like slant to this. In my opinion Whitney and Carrie are the only two in the world who can do this song justice

Carrie is amazing!...she never fails to deliver
On every stop of her "StoryTeller" tour. The audience was waiting for her to do this song. Hearing about her performance is one thing. But watching her to do this song in concert. This performance was well worth the ticket price.
And the best part, is that for the first time, Carrie asked the crowd to sing with her. And the audience didn't, but that was the best decision, the audience made. It got Carrie befuddled, you could tell, she was singing, but like why aren't you singing with me. And it turned out a show-stopping performance and when she was done, she got a standing ovation and Carrie got completely embarrass by it. I know, I saw her twice during this tour and both times. Carrie said Oh! My goodness. Standing ovation lasted for three minutes.

This performance was exquisite. I love the choices she makes in this rendition. She was both delicate and strong with her delivery. This was a moment. I wish she would record this version just to hear it without the noise from the audience. This felt somehow simultaneously very similar and different than Dolly or Whitney’s versions.
Never going to happen, Carrie has too much respect for Dolly to do that. Main reason, Carrie recorded "I Told You So" she never except it to go No. 1 for her. Carrie apologize to Randy Travis for it doing that. And Randy had no problem with it, actually that is why he allowed Carrie to record it.
Well said! She finds that perfect balance of delicate and strong that makes it that perfect blend of Dolly and Whitney’s version but uniquely her own. This is one of her best performances I’d say.

When Carrie covers and performs another artist's music, she usually hits it out of the park. I've heard her cover artists ranging from Guns n Roses, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, and Coldplay to Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, and Reba McEntire and she's ALWAYS delivered. The cover of Randy Travis's "I Told You So" was magical. Her rendition and delivery of "How Great Thou Art" on the Women of Country Music Special told the world to take notice, the farm girl from Checotah, Oklahoma had arrived. I've watched her fame and fortune grow exponentially and all the while she's stayed true to her roots, herself, and most importantly, her fans.
I really don't think Carrie realizes how good she does on this song. The audience does realize how good of performance she does. Every time, she does it, she receives a standing ovation and you can tell, how embarrassed Carrie is.
When Carrie says she doesn't do as good as Dolly. That is Carrie's humbleness, coming through. And Carrie's look at the crowd, like you can you me in singing along and nobody does, shows me, that is a show stopper. And crowd is honoring Dolly, in a way.

I saw Carrie doing this song, twice, once in Green Bay and other in Milwaukee. When, she did this song. Both times, the arena went dead quiet. The only thing, besides Carrie singing, was a guitar playing. Otherwise, the arena was dead quiet. Which is why, people called Carrie's show stopping moment. Which, it was.

I realize why this was only time, the audience wasn't dead silent during this song. It was her home state people realizing just how good Carrie has become. And yes, all of those boys from her high school are probably kicking themselves in the butt for ignoring Carrie. Everybody back when Carrie was in high school,.
And the audience goes dead quiet. And surprises Carrie in the process. This is one time that audience didn't follow her request and it turned into show stopping performance. And Carrie gets a standing ovation. Which of course, humbles Carrie. And I know this happen. I went to two concerts on the Storyteller tour and it happen both times.
