Use the dark soy sauce for the soft boiled eggs.... its a darker more stickier version(like balsamic reduction) version of the light soy sauce you used. Use a few drops... stir the eggs... slurp the eggs straight from the saucer or dip your toast into it... yumz
For the onigiri rice triangle, there is a tab to spilt the plastic wrapper in half then you can pull the other 2 corner off so that the rice will be nicely wrap in the seaweed. 😄
Welcome to Singapore! Try other hawker centres like Old Airport Road, Tiong Bahru Market, Tekka Centre, Chinatown Food Centre (largest in Singapore).....most hawker centres only open till lunch time...only a handful serves dinner crowd. Tian Tian chicken rice is made famous by someone and the long queue consists of mainly tourists :D Doubt he has tasted that many chicken rice stalls as compared to the locals to conclude it as the best 😛. There are a lot of good chicken rice options around Singapore. It is very difficult to just pick one favourite.
Thanks for the recommendations! We LOVED the hawker centres. They’re so much fun as a tourist, we don’t really have things like that in London. And the food is such high quality too 💙
Sugar cane juice (13:00). Is where we get our sugar in this part of the world. In Europe, it's from "sugar beets"? Anyway, I'm not too partial to sugar cane juice because it taste like grass to me.
thank you!!! I'm such a baby vlogger it hurts haha! I use the Canon m100. It's GREAT for photography, takes good video. My only issue is the mic! It has no external mic input so you do get bad background/wind noise!! xx
@@wherephoebetravels Hahahaha girl I love the vlogs, keep going!! I have multiple YT videos sitting in my camera roll that I haven’t uploaded yet, why does TH-cam seem scarier than TikTok😂😂❤️
Oh no, you are doing the soft-boiled eggs wrong! You should use dark soya sauce for the soft-boiled egg, not light soya sauce. If not sure which is which, ask the staff.
Yup, we local 'drink' the egg direct from the plate. Dipping the toast into the eggs is something which foreigners do because they mistakenly thought the egg is meant for that.
B1-35 Golden Mile food centre is MUCH BETTER chicken rice than Tian Tian th-cam.com/video/Vj6XwimK1CE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BorqBjWz2lNxqrj6 . Meat is juicy and soup is tasty . Tian Tian has no soup and chicken is a bit dry in my opinion. Maxwell a bit overrated . Golden Mile food centre has two Hokkien mee stalls , many good Indian food , Thai food , and much more.

That was dumpling noodles you had, not wanton noodles. Wanton noodles would had char siew meat in it. 😊
Looks amazing!

I feel like TikTok you edit so quick and snappy whereas TH-cam is longer/ more vulnerable. I’ve realised I say “um” a lot with TH-cam 😂

They only had one soy on the table! It was delicious anyway but noted for next time 😊
Light or dark soy, is actually a personal preference
It's personal preference. I prefer the light as light soy has a fragrance.
Locals don’t really dip the toast into the eggs. They just ‘drink’ the eggs straight from the plate.

lol, i'm local, I do dip my toast into the eggs. I know many locals who do that too.
Interesting because we saw lots of locals dipping their toast in their eggs!
locals dip into it as well.@@kwpf
I'm local and I dip the toast into the egg. After finishing the toasts, I then drink the rest of the egg.
