Hi Amanda, thank you so much for your tips. I am planning to start my pilates business and this video made me feel like I can do it even if I don't have money for the expensive equipment.
Hi Amanda thank you so much for this video its very helpful ❤ I’m moving to New Zealand from the UK and will be starting my own Pilates business hopefully beginning by specialising in rehabilitation, older people and people who struggle to leave their homes due to disabilities or lack of confidence, loneliness etc. For this I’ll be hoping to go to peoples homes (if they have the space) to teach pilates as I cannot afford a studio and see it as a less competitive way to start up. Have you heard anyone do this before and do you think this is a good idea to begin building clients and a reputable business? This doesn’t mean I won’t expand to a studio one day but I’d just like you opinion ❤
I recommend beginning by teaching friends or family members for free or a very discounted rate and encourage them to spread the word. This will give you some teaching experience and you'll gain your first paying clients from trusted sources.
I have the opportunity to rent a room. I'm having a hard time finding resources to make sure I do this legitimately. Do I need a business license? LLC? I know I need insurance. Do you know of a resource for me to figure this out?
Personally, I have an LLC and work within the guidelines of my physical therapy license. At a minimum, please make sure that you have thorough consent forms and that every single client completes one before you work with them.
I am having a hard time finding a insurance policy to allow me to bring clients into my home. I live in Florida and insurance companies are not writing policies to allow clients for a home based business. I have a studio and no insurance!!!! What do you do?
Last tip was awesome
I really love Pilates and want to become a Pilates instructor

Thank you 🙏🏻 what studio what you suggest for training? As a foreigner, can’t do weekend classes. Something in a go
I completed the Polestar certification program, but there are many to choose from!
