I got a C5 Corvette Z06 that does 170 in the all out mile in the Nevada silver state classic. But my LS2 402 CI engine is only 650 HP. I never get into 6th because its stops pulling.
I have found for at least myself 800whp is the sweet spot to go 200 in the mile. Granted I have also had to play with gearing and tire height to keep it in certain gears. As it sits I can do about 192 at 7,000rpm in 4th and 216 at 7,000rpm in 5th. I have heard of guys saying they have achieved 200 in the mile with 700whp give or take. To be honest I am not sure how they were able to do it. As it sits my fastest to date with 980whp on a Mustang dyno I have done just shy of 215 in the mile. Granted with better traction I could maybe go faster however I would be shifting into 6th gear which at that speed would kill my momentum.
@@sriavula Really just word of mouth for these smaller events. The BigBlue one has not happened in a couple years due issues with the current road. Rumor is they may have an alternative.
How much power with this setup? I'm looking at Mustangs and they gotta make at least 900whp to do that, but more work is requried due to poor aero and gearing not meant to go that high.
With this run I was at about 880whp on a mustang dyno. I have better aero than a mustang. However I run window nets which is costing me dearly I would guess 3 to 5mph. I intended to make some lexan windows at some point.
@@kingcandy4794 Do you think you could hit 200mph with proper windows and a little less power (like 700whp range)? I've been looking at getting a C5 Z06 because of the better aero as I love doing Top Speed runs.
King Candy 479 would u have done things different like use a smaller displacement with the F1a or u think things came out perfect. I have a c6z but I always say dream about big builds haha
Elevated Performance Oh I would have done lots of things different honestly. First started with a NA motor that came with the car threw a bit of nitrous at it and blew it up at first event. At that point I decided to build a nitrous motor running a 200 shot. This setup lended 800whp a 200mph 1 mile and a 213mph 1.5 mile run. No issues. But I got greedy changed the piston rings did a 250 shot the shop got in a hurry did a crap job and blew up at the next event. Decided to go forced induction with a F1A which I am running almost 20 pounds of boost. This is causing heat soak so I wish I would have done a F1X and run much lower boost. But in all reality I should have just went twin turbos from the get go. I am using a C6 Procharger kit on mine so with all the mods to fit the different cradle etc I could have had a much faster more efficient setup. I kick myself for all the money spent at this point when I could have had something far better.
King Candy 479 so the f1x is way better with heat soak Bc u don’t have to run as much boost ? I like nitrous but I feel like there are a lot of variables that can go wrong too. Very interesting tho to hear your path. I love the spool on the F1 series compares to d1 and p1 it’s so addicting I bet
Man that car sounds absolutely amazing!
Thank you

@@kingcandy4794 what transmission are you using? T56?
Awesome run Jeremy!! Congrats man
Kellie Bork Thank you it was great catching up with you. Would have liked to had that 15mph wind on the backside of the car.
That would have been a great push from behind! Great to catch up with you as well buddy.

Is that t56?? Seems like short gearing in 5th
Elevated Performance Yep still a T56 built by RPM with a .90 fifth gear and a 2.92 rear end gear.
