I have this same exact model, 710 case and teal dial color, I bought with a solid link bracelet and replaced it right away, also I brushed the bezel with a kitchen sponge, it looks awesome. Now I use it more than my seiko.
Just received mine in the mail a cpl days ago and I love this watch!! I can’t describe what makes me like it so much it just has a great look and feel to it! I will be buying a few more!!
I bought one two weeks ago, same blue dial with the date window and ciphers, but mine is a bead-blasted case and brushed stainless bezel. I wound it up, se the time and put it on....two weeks later, still keeps the same time it says on my computer. I've laid it aside for a few 24 hour periods too. Good honeymoon period with this watch, I'm wearing it as I write. Light, comfortable, doesn't need to be babied. I'm hooked! Lume does suck though.

It's awesome although it was more blue in the pics, but I knew it is green so it's OK, I also ordered a black 1069 type dial that has been relumed and a new set of relumed paddle hands
I’ll receive mine in the mail tomorrow, I’m really excited to see what all the hoopla is all about!
I do want to add that the Bulova Accutron watches manufactured back in the mid 60’s up to early 80’s had the same exact method of securing the caseback.
I bought this and was very pleased with it, one thing that was a minus though was that the bracelet it came with had sharp edges which when worn I didnt notice until I saw it was shaving all the hair off my wrist!!! Have now changed the bracelet for a Nato strap and all is now solved.
Great review, I'm at a stage where I'm ready to buy a Scuba Dude, I have never understood the concept of a "Dress Diver" so i only own an SKX for diving purposes, this one is a collection mantra! Thanks for the information!

I just got an Amphibian myself last week. Except mine is a 420 with a black dial and orange scuba dude. Wasn't sure initially, but it's really grown on me.

As for the design, there was the need for a solution, and they found one that works over time, The price is at different price points (even increasing) for this and komanderskie, but value. As with all watches, etc, you buy the seller first.
I am buying this one, soon, a lovely watch and the price can not be resisted...

I bought VOSTOK AMPHIBIAN 420307 in April of last year, but that time I wasn't following on watches or trying to investigate, so I gave the watch to my father when I traveled to Baghdad 5 months ago and I regret it now, I hope he didn't use it, I will buy him a Seiko SARB033 or SARB035 and will take back the $50 Vostok..
Did you buy it? How it is after 2 years? Because mine two of them are not working any more.
The monoblock Seiko divers have similar retaining ring on the top.

You have the newer and better bracelet that I have on my 710 black scuba dude in the ministry case. I like the bracelet and the watch design and bezel.
So no modding for me.
A bit of time spent regulating it is all I have done. Now +15. Same as my V4 Bambino.
I keep my watches slightly fast. Easier to hack. And yes the Vostok Amphibia can be back wound hacked.
I'm still loving mine and a review will be up in a week or so

Bulova used the same type of caseback. I wonder who did it first? One of the Russian designers name was Vera Bulov.
I got the 710 case also .im trying to figure out why the reviews I’ve seen on the 710 case the scuba dudes head on the dial is close to being underneath the 12:00 position on mine his head is by the 10:00 position not sure why???

does the screw down crown wobble when it is unscrewed? I've heard that they are famous for wobble crowns.
It wobbles when you pull it out and then push it in, while it is firm when you are holding it pulled out, as it supposedly has a clutch system that disengages it when not turning it

I don't think it is as it has pretty short lug to lug. It's the shortest Amphibia case

I got it on eBay, just searched 22mm rubber strap. But I just tried finding it and couldn't, maybe it's no longer available
The reason seal hasn't been widely adopted is that it is more profitable if the watch leaks after getting the battery changed. Sell more watches. Just omit silicon grease on the o-ring or replacement o-ring. I am going to order a Vostok Amphibia or two because my watch drowned in shallow sea and shower after having the battery changed.
The genius Russian in that retaining ring onthe case back is sold me, i want vostok very bad but its really hard to choose which one because there is tons of type or designs. I want a simple design 200m field watch small to medium size of vostok in stainless steel
Could you say where they're available for $50-70? I paid around £85 for mine with a Seiko bezel. You're saying there's a seller offering them at $50/£36?
You paid WITH a Seiko bezel, so you just answered your question.

Don’t really know why almost everybody is dissing the Vostok bracelet. I can’t wear any steel bracelets because they are too cold and give me bone aches, but I do think it’s a decent bracelet.
To me it is like any Seiko 5 bracelet, it's OK, and it hasn't pulled my hair or anything but compared to what is offered today it is a bit outdated, which again is justifiable considering the price
I threw mine out as it broke while I was trying to remove a link. Got an orange nato strap that goes beautifully with the blue/green dial - winner 😎

Also, I have the black scuba dude and I just couldn't take the bezel off? Now either I'm being too careful or missing something here.
It is teal in color, older versions had the blue apparently, and taking of the bezel can be very hard if the tension ring is new and well bent.
To pry it off try different positions of the bezel as on one part the tension ring is missing so once you find that part it should be slightly easier

All the dials are the same in size and are interchangeable

i'm torn between this and a handsome komanderskie watch .
Komandirskie has a chrome plated brass case, while this is stainless steel making it slightly more durable
@@WatchGeek i did settle for this watch and so far it's been great. i'm planning to change the strap w/ a barton silicone soon.

Simple 1i lot of tensions between UK and Russia just now and there are already trade bans on certain goods and services. It may never come to include watches and I was being semi jokey about it.

My second Vostok watch in case 090 after year of not regular use stopped working too this morning.No more trust to this watches any more.Packed them to the boxes.I am done with this rubbish watch
