Great content. Spot on useful info. I’m actually considering buying this lift. I actually have a Tahoe and two lowered Camaro’s, so you answered all my questions. Suggest Maybe longer ramps to allow lowered cars to access the ramp, or maybe place some 2x4s under the ramps. Thanks.
Exactly!!! They should never be considered “Safety Latches” they are “Working Latches”. The hydraulics and cables can and do fail. See some of the You Tube videos. redrok
Is ok to park a car and leave it with the runways lowered all the way down. I noticed the runways are about an inch from the floor. Wouldn't it be resting on the cables then?
Nice video, thanks! I'm about to order a lift. Two questions: Where did you get your lift? Unfortunately, thanks to the damn tariff war, prices have skyrocketed. Did you solve the Corvette dilemma? If you didn't have a slopped driveway, do you think the ramps would suffice to get it on the lift without scraping?
Greg smith equipment. I picked it up from one of their warehouses for about a $500 discount. I never solved the corvette dilemma and after changing the oil on the ground again earlier this week I finally broke down and ordered Atlas’ extended aluminum ramps. They’re supposed to arrive tomorrow so stay tuned for an update video soon!
I've had my 408SL for over a week and it's been great. Your video is what pretty much sold me on this lift. Here's my short video review of my lift: th-cam.com/video/vAJeDqJQ758/w-d-xo.html
been debating for a while to get one of these, and watched this video prob 100 times, best one on you tube

Thanks! I wound up making some 6’ aluminum ramps and everything is all good now
Just a heads up, when storing and working under the lift, the lift should be resting on the safety locks. Cheers and nice video, love the dogs!

Those casters will come in handy when you eventually build your ultimate man cave garage !
What made you go with Atlas over other manufacturers?

It’s all the way down. There’s bolts sticking out the bottom that you can’t see from that angle and make it sit a little off the floor
Nice video, thanks!

@@ZeroToAwesome Awesome. Thanks, man!
What power source are you using? Does it require to be a dedicated circuit? What amperage?
Just a regular 15A 110v household plug, not dedicated
Looking at lifts now. Do you still recommend this one and like it? Any other suggestions?
Yep still doing good
What model is this? Are the ramps adjustable as far as width or were they as wide as they go when you put the Tahoe on? Thanks
408SL. No, they’re not adjustable but I think they make a wider lift
Tahoe, C7 and a 55 Chevy? Must be nice
Just wondering on the corvette how much room do you have to use the slide jack on the front or back? Dose it clear to use it or is it tight?
Easily clears. I have it lowered all the way on stock bolts too
Is your garage a standard 20x20ft garage?
How high is your garage ceiling
10’ 4”
How tall is your ceiling?
10’ 4”
Thanks for the quick response!!
Yes, how high is your ceiling please? Thanks
Why are there so many Chevy's in that garage?
To troll you. Years of buying cars has led to this moment. I'm so satisfied right now.
