Best practices are you should cook at least 100 yards from where you sleep, and 100 yards from both where you sleep and cooked is where you store your food (hung, bear canister, box, etc) - this creates a triangle. Sleep upwind of where your food is.
Hi Katie, I did not know that you have a puppy, I simply thought that I would suggest such with that question. What breed is he/she and perhaps your dog would be a good screen guest. I enjoy your content.
There is a really bad/funny story about this! He rolled in something terrible (barf/poo) in the middle of me recording and came up to me and rubbed against me. I had to stop, give him a bath, mop my floors, change my clothes and then re-resume! So technically he was in his kennel drying off.
Good responsible info Kait! Again nice meeting between and hot sulfur springs station last year.
Cheers
Good tip for areas with bears: Stop short of where you plan to camp, cook/clean, then move to camp. Still hang your bear bag of course.

Extremely helpful and informative. Thank you a lot!
Thank you!!
great info but could barely hear you
Sorry about that. It was a tough day for recording (see story above)
Helpful video, do you have a link or name for the bigger pot?
It looks like they have changed over the years but it is very similar to this one: cascadedesigns.com/products/titan-kettle-1400ml
@kaitboyle thanks for the link!
