    Excellent review, I do have a question for you though. How does a proper gun fitting and potentially a custom ordered/fitted stock fit into your evaluation? At these price points getting a custom fit is certainly a viable option and one could argue that you would shoot much better with a properly fit gun at a lower price point than you would with a more expensive gun off the shelf. I guess my point here is if you have a shooter that is ready to make the next step in their shooting sport and they have a specific budget they might be well advised to take the cost of a proper fitting into account.

      @orionoutdoors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      You are spot on, sir. When it comes to purchasing a gun, fit should 100% be a primary point to consider. Whenever a customer visits us, we consider this as a very important variable. We are fortunate to have a team of very experienced gun fitters to help our clients make the right choice. We also have the capability to go the custom stock choice, which does get pricey quickly... especially if you are looking for something that has an excellent figure. What gun is best for each person will depend on budget, shooting goals, technique and physique. Compromise is sometimes essential and when this is the case, our experts try to advise what you'll be most happy with down the road.

    Have never noticed recoil with my F3... and I have had it for over 10 years... it's very reliable.... it's one of the original versions ~ 2004.. unfortunately, the modularity concept doesn't work for my older gun... have been looking for a longer 34" barrel for some trap... but need to upgrade receiver, then Current barrel would not work.. nice review..

    FYI the Krieghoff K-80 is not based on the Remington Model 3200, the K80 is an updated/improved version of their former K32 which was based on the Remington Model 32 (made from approximately 1931 to 1947). Krieghoff purchased the model 32 design from Remington. The Remington Model 3200 was a new design introduced in 1973 and produced until 1980 reminiscent of the original model 32.

    I watched your review and talked to my sporting clay friends. The Caesar Guerini was the clear winner for me. Thanks, I bought the Summit and really love it. I had used a CSX. The Guerini handles much better.

    Would love to get into this sport, but all of these guns are a bit outside (if not not WAY outside) of my budget. Do you have another round up of sporting clay shotguns at more reasonable prices?

    Kemen is an exact copy of a Perazzi, almost, but both brands are great guns. How could this guy leave Zoli out of this list? Antonio Zoli came on the scene with their new quality lineup about twenty years ago and now owns much of the market in Sporting guns, they shoot great and have the wow factor. Kolar is a great gun mow but in the beginning they had trigger groups breaking, that's how I got one for less than half price.(over twenty years ago)

    Are over/under the only double-barrels used for clay? So far, I haven't seen any endorsement of a side-by-side model.

    • @jrowinski82
      @jrowinski82 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Over/under shotguns are not the only choice but the best choice for sporting clays. The main advantage comes in having a much slimmer and consistent focus down the barrels when shooting, compared to the wider and less familiar sight of looking down a side-by-side shotgun.

    It seems the 2024 list differs quite a bit from your 2023 list. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I was a bit surprised that no semi-autos were mentioned. Which o/u would you say is the softest shooting?

    • @orionoutdoors
      @orionoutdoors  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We did a few videos in recent months which specifically featured semi-automatics, take a look at our video titled "Fabarm L4S Shotgun Review." In terms of the softest shooting gun on our list, I would have to say it would be a close match between the Caesar Guerini Invictus I, Kemen KM-4 and Kolar Max Lite Sporting. Thank you for watching our channel and for your support!

    Very informative. I don't see a reason spend over $5K for an O/U clays gun; IDK maybe I'll change my mind over time. I currently shoot a Browning "boat anchor" O/U ;)

    Ok, just to raise some serious questions about your review.
    1. Why all of the Caesar Guerini's? Very , very few professional shooters use Caesar Guerini. They all literally use the guns you dodged like the Beretta 694s and Blaser F3 & F 16. The Blazer F3 super sport weighs almost 9 lbs. You called the light weight. You're completely uninformed or you're just trying to sell people the guns you keep in stock.I have an F3 and F 16. They have practically zero recoil for target loads (what you use for sporting clays) Also, at $16k the Kreighoff k80 Super Sport is easily the best built, most highly engineered sporting shotgun made on the planet. Followed by Perazzi! END OF STORY!
    You based all of your ratings on the guns you keep in stock.
    Do not listen to this guy, complete schiester.
    $3k range - Browning 725, Razzini BR110
    $4k Range - Beretta 694 Blaser F16, Fossari CRX9 BSS
    $5k to $7k - Blaser F16 Grand Lux, Beretta 694 Trap DTL Step up Mid Riib (special order) Fausti
    $8k to $20 K - Kreighoff K80 SuperSport Step up mid rib, Blaser F3 SuperSport, Perazzi High Tech, Beretta DT11 Trap DTL Step up Mid Rib (special order)
    $5k and up are the guns that professionals use.
    No one or very few uses Caesar Guerini.
    Trap heavy choices because the professionals prefer the flatter comb on a trap style stock for ALL disciplines because it leads to repeatable shoulderong of the gun and where your eye sits because of it's a flat comb your eye will always see the snowman (mid rib below front rib) on the sights regardless of where you rest you face on the comb when you mount it.

      Thanks for your feedback. We have differing opinions, which is perfectly fine!
      A couple points:
      (1) The Beretta 694 was one of the top 10 guns we included in this list, so a bit confused why you suggest we did not include it.
      (2) I strongly suggest you look into the mechanics of some of the guns you mentioned, a few of the brands you mentioned (which we did list in the honorable mentions) have not changed or improved their design in over 30 years.
      (3) In terms of the Blaser recoil claim, we did explicitly state this applied to the competition flat rib (not the Super Sport). We also mentioned that it tends to be a stock fit issue.
      (4) Approximately 30% of the guns we included in the list are guns that we do not sell.
