Was it determined whether he also had alcohol in his system? If he took his faith very seriously, he would likely have avoided alcohol, and if he’d never voluntarily consumed any, I can imagine him getting very sick from it. Then it might be even easier to slip him other things.

I am a widow and part of a widow's support group on Facebook. It is a great group of people who have lost their spouses. Everyone really supports each other there. This woman joined the group and was telling her story and shared the information about her book. She got a TON of supportive comments. I remember giving her post a heart and thinking how great it was that she was using her grief to help children with the loss of a parent. It makes me sick that she had the nerve to murder her husband and then take advantage of a community of grieving men and women for their support. How many of us would do anything to get our husband or wife back and her she took the life of her husband. So upsetting!

Here’s a tip: if you have someone in your family that you want to get NOTHING when someone passes away, you create a trust. Wills can be contested in court and very often refuted. Trusts are more ironclad. This information I bring to you directly from my own experience.

These are words from a lawyer who deals in wills and family estates. I sound very bossy, read this in an upbeat manner with a bit of laughter in your voice. My family member chose to remove themselves from our lives and blame us for doing so when she was also the one that had inflicted years of pain and manipulation on my niece and nephew. I had a friend die from fentanyl. She cut up a patch that you are supposed to stick on your skin. She cut it up and injected it. She had done it before but had recently got our of jail so her tolerance wouldn't have been as high. And you can't measure a patch..I doubt its distributed evenly across the patch.

It's a sad story on the face of it and I wouldn't say it is healthy for most average people to dig more into stories they hear all the time. As someone who lives about 20 minutes from this story; I can tell you the way you described Eric is absolute accurate. I know exactly the kind of person he was and his family is. So much of what you described is cultural in Utah- particularly with large, wealthy mormon families, of which there are many. The ATVs, the extreme outdoor sports, the wild behavior (bear in mind drug and alcohol usage is strictly forbidden in the LDS religion) so we get a lot of 'zany' behavior from mormons who are trying to distinguish themselves from their conservative backgrounds, so lots of 'wild cards' if you will who just pull crazy stunts to show how fun they are. also, its pronounced kam (as in camera) mas (as in christmas).

They have him narcan and we’re able to revive him. That was the scariest day of my life. I’ve always hated drugs, and hated that he was doing them. But I’m now terrified of them. My boyfriend has since gone to rehab and is sober. But hearing that he was killed with fentanyl, and the fact that she probably watched him overdose is horrific. I’ve seen what that looks like. My husband died from bacterial pneumonia on New Year’s 2023 we didn’t know he had it, and we decided to drink heavy that night.
When I woke up to him unresponsive next to me. I was initially in shock then we started CPR and calling paramedic’s.
Unfortunately because of the opioid epidemic so many first responders instantly think it’s an overdose then treat the patient with that in mind.
I lost my husband it was devastating this woman is so callous to use families and grief to make $ it’s disgusting.

I've worked in nursing since the mid 90's. My #1 clue that she did NOT try to perform CPR or she made no mention of the gases.
If he was gone long enough to be cold his eyes would've already begun clouding over & the gases that begin immediately building up, escape into the mouth of whoever begins mouth to mouth & chest compressions.
And I can tell you from 1st hand experience that this DEFINITELY happens with a fentanyl poisoning AKA overdose.
Our 30 yr old son was murdered with it & that's what the DA told us it's actually called, a poisonings. NOT only because of the fact that he had no idea his friend purposely slipped it into his mixed drink.
(They caught the guy & he was also charged with murder of a woman he killed the week prior the exact same way.

This is so sad. Eric seemed like a wonderful husband and father. Literally wanted to give his wife everything and devote his time to his family. It's not like he ignored her or was cheap. Seemed like a truly wonderful and loyal man. It's so sad how evil she turned out to be. To only marry him for his money. Try to turn their own kids against him and his family. And now she left her kids without parents all because of greed. She was welcomed into a kind family and she destroyed it all because of money and then tried to play the part of the grieving widow who only wrote this book to help her kids and others going through the same thing. She wanted to even profit off of him after death. That takes a very evil person. The crazy thing is she had the perfect family and situation. She would have been more financially free to do whatever she wanted if she stayed in the relationship and was loyal and kind vs murder. She was so upset over a money pit mansion that was a bad investment and that Eric said no to it. To protect her and his investments. Nothing he did was out of malice unlike her. She is just a moron. Anyone would have been lucky to find someone like Eric and his family.

    Hey Rotten Mango.
I love your channel. I love many channels that are like this and you are the only one who has talked about the opidemic happening.
I really appreciate you talking about and bringing awareness to the opidemic and homeless. I live here in Utah, actually very close to this woman. I was not at all surprised how easy she got it because it is one of the biggest killers here right now, in all ages. And not just here, everywhere. I myself got addicted but am now recovering. The reason there are mostly old people talking about it is because THEY ARE LOSING THEIR KIDS. Xanax and fentanyl laced Xanax and basically most drugs are huge in my generation and has been a thing for many generations of course but that just goes to show how little it’s talked about. and well the sad reality is is that it is everyone of every age that is being affected. I have lost more people to OD and suicide Then I have old relatives. I am 26 years old. And it is so rarely talked about because of the stigma around drug users. But this is happening to anyone and anybody.
I really love that you did this. Thank you.
She had everything. Absolutely EVERYTHING that is beautiful about life.
Kamas Utah is literally my dream town here.
I just couldn’t even believe how or what could she possibly hate so bad or not have enough of? this is one of those stories that just made me and still makes me absolutely sick.
I think one of the biggest things to take away from this story is =money is the root of most evil. But another big thing that we need to watch out for is narcissistic people. I am very sad that he felt trapped and his friends and sister didn’t know what to even do. That is how all of those people in those types of relationships feel. (If they aren’t narcs themselves.) we NEED to keep an eye on those we love. It is definitely scary.
Much love and peace to those that were blessed with his very presence. 🫶🏻
Take care of your friends and ALWAYS keep a safe place for them to be vulnerable with you always and never take advantage. I love you all.

The rage I felt after watching this video. As someone who (as a kid) lost their dad to an ACTUAL ACCIDENT, her pretending to be a struggling widowed mother makes me sick. Literally all for money. I’ve had to watch my own mother grieve and be a single mom for 18 YEARS after we lost my dad. I can’t imagine wanting to put yourself or your kids through that. I sincerely hope that he is in the celestial kingdom and that he will be with his children when they pass after a long healthy fulfilling life even with the trauma that their mom put them through. He and his 3 sons deserve to be in the best place in heaven together.
