Love your castle vids! One thing that I did differently was that I put all my power generators out back by the giant water pump that way I don't have to look at them :). I put a cpl wood floors down and then connected the gennies to eachother and then wired to the already placed conduit right above.

Instead of stupid wires draped everywhere, Bethesda should give us actual pipe conduit (made of steel, requires 1 steel for short runs and 2 for long runs) that can snap to vertical and horizontal surfaces, so that we can clean up our builds.
Now that the fusion generator is out, you can save on generators and use the kitchen. Because the infinite fresh water supply there not being used hurts me!
I wondered why he filled that room with the noisy gas generators instead of using fusion, I had no idea the fusion generator was originally not in the game!
I built some walls in that room to make a bathroom where the sinks are, a cozy little sleeping room with some beds and lockers, and then out in the hallway I put some weight lifting benches with rubber mats on the floor so my settlers have a gym to use. (I also put some shelves and spent a painfully long amount of time organizing weights on them, in found the weights in that boxing gym at the General Atomics Galleria)
Beside the castle there is a water purifier and a large power tower and if you power it up it will power the whole castle so you don't even need all of those generators in the kitchen of the castle. But that's up to you if you wanna do that or not.

I've never been able to figure out the difference between the shops. A mean, do they generate more caps per day or something? Also, I've discovered that a large generator will fit in the areas that you have your shops set up in.
I don't get how you can build all this decoration. I'm working with the bare minimum interior and I'm already about the hit the building limit. Granted, i have beds for 20 settlers in there but still.

Oil Rig pig You can use "Scrap That Settlement" Or "Scrap All Things" but with the latter, it literally lets you scrap everything like the walls and such.
I would used an atom reactor instead so many generators. Actually I did as I said. Why you can't do that? Maybe this opportunity was added later into the game?

Everything that I tried to place on the castle floors dropped through the floors, I'm playing on xbox one. I could only find an occassional spot that anything would sit on and that wasn't were I wanted it to go. What do I need to do to fix it?
How did you get rid of that annoying dirt left on the ground everywhere? e.g. the dirt in front of the door of the armory where you put that platform and that door.
An entire room dedicated towards power... Jesus... I just put generators around the settlement in spots where I can, but always large ones. They help you get the most out of your space.
Do you ever think about using nuclear generators instead of dozens of "10" power generators? 1 nuclear generator does 100 power. Put 2 or 3 of those down, and you can power Vegas and New York City with those.😊😊 They save on space too.
As right as you are about people living here and so the building needs appropriate living conditions, I honestly think you've gone a bit excessive with it. It's a fortified military headquarters; it shouldn't have juke boxes, televisions, and paintings of kittens... Some decorating is appreciated, but it needs to be reasonable and appropriate.

Beside the castle there is a water purifier and a large power tower and if you power it up it will power the whole castle so you don't even need all of those generators in the kitchen of the castle. But that's up to you if you wanna do that or not.

Just drop a ton of heavy weapons and press Store on all of them. I did this on accident when I was hording over 80+ Heavy Weapons

Did you use unlimited settlement size mod??
Yes. Also, lookup settlement size glitch/bugs to increase the build limit. There are a couple that I am familiar with.

It's a fence. It's the last fence that you can find under: structure->wood->others
It’s a wall. You have to go to Structures > Wood > Walls > (Last Third Wall)

Oh alright, my settlements seemed to be attacked minimally so I thought maybe the castle was too far from anything to actually be attacked.

My Castle has more rubble in the ground and broken pieces of wall whereas yours doesn't. Are you using mods to patch that up?
