    Excellent video! Very admirable that you are recommending entry level bows as well as your high end bows. Gets the new bow hunters in the field!

    Hi Shane, those rubber arrow holders are awesome. I still use them even shooting off the shelf. Instead of using the adhesive, I use a short 5/16x24 bolt and washer and attach the arrow holder base to the arrow rest insert I'm not using for a rest. Then trim the excess base material away.

    Only thing I added last year which was a game changer was an electric vest. Thought they were gimmicky but it allows me to sit longer, not get the shakes and keeps the bulk down on my arms.

      That's awesome! My hired man bought me one of those. Had it on every sit last season. Total game changer!

    Glad to hear you call out junk camo. Its made to sell to people who like it cuz its trendy. But it's junk.

    The Bowjax II is rather cheap too, like $4.00 for a 4 pack. I intend to use those on my Youth Longbow when I get it if I need them and if just 2 of the 4 are enough to quiet the bow I will try them on a recurve that is a tad loud.

    Why do you prefer SR swift recurve over swift long curve? Any personal or practical reasons?

    • @greatplainsbow
      @greatplainsbow  ปีที่แล้ว

      @GILLES PREVOST the way your hand locks into the SR Swift forward grip typically gives you a more consistent shot. You need to be more intentional with how you hold the long bow style grip on the Swift long curve. We’ll be dropping a video specifically geared towards the swift series within the next 2 weeks.

    I use for my pattern some old Army style camo but from Walmart in a faded style for deep winter and then pants that are similar camo with a faded real tree camo sweater for warm weather that just faded as soon as it was washed, some cheap jacket and in South Dakota due to non paved roadside hunting being allowed, we have to wear at least a hunter orange hat and forced to and from hunting spots to wear Hunting vest as the minimum even if the hunting spot has 0 places on the edge to roadside hunt with the exception Private land where you do not need the vest if not starting off on roadside but already on the land. So, I just wear the orange vest anyhow. The Vest breaks up the patterns enough that I am not worried for hunting.

      Sounds like a great setup!

    • @caseysmith544
      @caseysmith544 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@greatplainsbow I realized I have other camo for the sweater a 1/4th zip that is like an old more open tiger stripe but more brown and a base of a light army green with hint of tan to it. an old Starter sweater from Walmart. This will work better than the Real Tree.
