another defensive equipment you can consider running is winged boots 2 drop blue equipment 1 to equipment gives nekusar flying and ward 4
very underrated channel
This is almost exactly how I was thinking of building it.
Check out library of leng, no max hand size, and when you're forced to discard you can put any card on topo of your deck instead

I’ve been wanting to build Nekusar for a while and this build looks really fun and up my alley. I do plan on adding a Helm of The Ghastlord in just so when I wheel nobody will have hands but me…..I will then be promptly beating in the parking lot lol.

He doesn't have a deck list. Just gives you options to run in your own build.
Does nekusar s effect only work on Battlefield?
Yes. The only commander effects that work when they’re not on the battlefield are Eminence abilities. If Nekusar had Eminence he would 100% be banned or he would be even more expensive than Edgar Markov.
This Deck got me hated off the table. Like I could never play it without getting focused down just for playing the deck.

You missed out on one of the most important aspects of this deck. Graveyard shenanigans. Aside from the reanimation effects, you should have at least a couple ways to be able to play those wheel effects from the graveyard. Cards like Snapcaster Mage, Yawgs Will and Past in Flames are a must in Nekusar decks.
