    Is there anyway to have the plate higher?

    • @HMDriven
      @HMDriven  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I ended up flipping the bracket later on for it to sit higher on the bumper cover.

      Have had it on through the winter and definitely no rust and has survived a few 160MPH pulls and cruising at 120mph

    How about when you go through a drive though carwash, any issue with the machine washing your car with that front license plate? Also the rubber bumpers in the back corners of the license plate does that come with the kit? If not where did you get those from?

    • @HMDriven
      @HMDriven  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t take my cars through automatic car washes. But it held on on the autobahn at 130mph cruising. As for the bumpers. Yes they come with the kit.

    No issues with your parking sensors? That's my only concern for this kit. Also, do you think it's obstructing airflow to the intercooler/radiator?

    • @HMDriven
      @HMDriven  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      0 issues with the sensors and have had the car at the track with 0 overheating issues. The mount has lasted a brutal German winter also!

    Thanks for your video. I just got my M550 today, and bought one with acc. Do you think the plate and rack are too heavy for the grille? Looks like they are plastic?

      Had the mount on the car for 2 years and never had any issues. Daily driving, track, and autobahn and worked great

      Works marvelously just make sure you use some anti-cease so the thumbscrew doesn’t get stuck

    good idea but why use double sided tape? Why didn't they just put holes on the bracket that attaches to the plate?

    • @HMDriven
      @HMDriven  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The European plates don’t come with holes on them. You can get a bracket to slide them in or just use the 3m tape. The US brackets have the holes for the plate.

    • @Dactylonian
      @Dactylonian ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HMDrivenoh phew, I thought I might be relying on tape holding my plate on.

  • @sanzserif
    @sanzserif 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    is there a way to screw the plate into the holder or are is it only mounted with the 3m tape?

    • @HMDriven
      @HMDriven  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can drill your own holes if you want but the 3M is really good. I have been on the autobahn cruising at 200kmh and done a few 266kmh pulls and plate hasn’t bent and the 3M hasn’t lost its strength.

    FUCKING AWESOME! Been looking for something like this for my M2C as I’ve just 3m my plate to my front bumper but being a curved bumper and flat plate it annoys me! This will be perfect. What are the dimensions of the rest of the world mount? which is what I assumed you have used

    • @HMDriven
      @HMDriven  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a carbonio mount. Don’t have the dimensions but their website might. I has held on great and has handled autobahn speeds with 0 issues. Also temps haven’t really been affected at all. Taken it to the Nurburgring and everything ran just fine.

    Don't buy this product if you ever plan on using a car wash- mine was damaged the very 1st time-Warranty does not cover. So they refused my request for a refund.

    • @HMDriven
      @HMDriven  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just my two sense… this is a self inflicted issue. 1 if you care about the car you should be handwashing or using a touch less car wash. 2 any time a wash is being done it should be removed. Common sense and not Carbonio’s fault.
