I have a 2002 Audi TT with no front plate frame, but four holes, 10.25" apart horizontally and 2.25" apart vertically. Does anyone know if this will match up with the Euro frames I can buy online? The sellers don't say.

In California I have special plates that say "Veteran"have the insignia of a unit I served under while in Iraq, and are customized with my job code from the Army.
I actually really like the California ones a lot, lol funny enough it's one of my favorite things about this state, I think pretty much all the other states have tacky looking plates But I'll admit European plates are better looking because of the dimensions in my opinion, maybe it's just because we're not used to it that we see it that way
+Custom European Plates I am about to order a euro plate for my car from you guys and some sort bracket/mount that would allow for dual mount (where the US plate can be mounted in front of the euro style plate) would be awesome. I have no welding or metal working capability at home, but I might head to a scrap yard to grab some stock license plate mounts and see what can be possible be done. But will it be pretty...? On another note, it would be nice to also have a clear cover to protect your plates from road debris and insects.

IKR I hate the European long plates :D Thank god we in Finland have quite clean plates and you can order them without the blue EU flag. Also our plates are a bit smaller than normal EU plates, only downside is that most cars have the standard plate holder so the holder is way larger than the actual plate.

They are legal in the us but with exceptions. If your state only requires rear plates, a front euro plate like the one on this BMW is completely legal. I live in PA and they only require a rear plate, so I'm running German plates on the front of my Mk7 GTI. If you live in a state like NJ or NY that requires front AND rear plates to be displayed, it is illegal to run euro plates in either location.
I think you can get away with that, you just need your front plate to be visible at all times. That said, I wouldn't take my word for it and each state has it's own laws and each cop has their own mindset for if they would pull you over for it or not. I wouldn't risk it in a state that requires both, mostly because having two plates on the front of your car wouldn't look too good. I'm only running a euro plate on my GTI because it came from out of state and had the hole mounts in the bumper, otherwise I would've left it bare.

No. These frames are trash. A couple times through the car wash and you will lose your plate.

I can’t get the lower insert strip tab to flatten in the middle area (final step). It won’t fully snap. I tried so many times. Any ideas?

If someone buys a custom plate then they need to mount it onto their car some way
