I'm 66, a member since I was 8 & the past 45 years, most the time I feel my testimony of this being the Restored Church can not be strengthened any more...And then I hear or read simple statements like this, about how personal incidents that happen in the lives of the Lords Prophet & Apostles & other leaders in the church, helps change someones life...It testifies to me Father truly uses mere mortal men & women, to bring about His Plan of Salvation for his Children on earth...
I completely agree with you!! I've never been a man of God most my life!! But lately with everything that's going on in the world today makes me realize that God's word and the story behind this life is true!! I've just been learning as much as possible and im not just doing it because of what's going on and only trying to look for a way out!!! now that I've been studying and reading more about the Bible it woke me up!! 🤯🤯 and made me realize what is important and what is not!! Now I'm not saying I 100 percent changed over a weeks time but I see things for what they are now!! U can't promise such things... it can just lead to dissapointment.. everyone's experience is more or less different than the ones of others... one can find joy while being w a pure heart, while another one seeking the truth could find it somewhere else (n esp their joy)😊
How? For what? If he was inspired about caronavirus, why didn't he warn the leaders of the country to prepare? Or the members? Instead of making a vaguely worded "prophecy" that this general conference would be "different" than others (which honestly could mean *anything*!)

@@apostatelizzy6836That isn't how it works. It just isn't. The role of the prophet isn't a fortune teller. He receives revelation from God and sometimes for things which he may not know the reason at the present time. President Nelson may have know exactly why or he may have just been inspired to do what he did from God and followed the promptings, all that matter is that we listen to the prophets words and know he is inspired of God.
I also am not Mormon, but this message impacts those of all religions and it is a message that i really needed to hear in this time of my life, thank you
i remember looking at videos on the mormon channel years ago and there would be hundreds of thousands of dislikes to few thousands of likes and i would never understand why others would hate on this religion so much... this church is amazing and true and im proud to be a part of it

Please understand that I have a relationship with Jesus Christ because of the LDS church. I was agnostic before the missionaries taught me the gospel. I was raised in a different church, but I always had so many unanswered questions. The most important thing we can do is listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Anyone can say anything. Only the Holy Ghost can testify truth and help us distinguish truth and fiction.
I enjoyed your testimonieand the holy spirit testified to me that you had just spoken and testified that you was speaking by and with that power and of jesus the christ
There have been times in my life where my faith in God and the teachings of the restored gospel were all that kept my going. If anyone is struggling and doesn’t know where to turn, turn to your Father in Heaven. He loves you and will always give you the strength to keep going.

I am not a Mormon, or religious at all, for that matter, but what an inspiring message. It reminds those of us even without faith that we always have something to keep us going.
I am in tears because my son fell away from all of the good things I tried to teach him. He's 19 and I wanted him to go on a mission to bring truth to the world. This is the Lord's work and I testify of that. But the story is not over for my son because this work is true and he will see it one day. My heart will not fail me because I trust in the strong arm of God. I am thankful to the missionaries and pray that if you are an investigator you'll listen and feel the Spirit of God as they teach.
Our prophet understands that we may have wayward children, no matter their age and it is heart breaking. I only have to think of our Heavenly Parents to see what pain they must have felt when Lucifer wanted to force us home and keep the glory and then Adam and Eve's child, and then yours and mine. We are not alone but remember although we pray and fast on their behalf and have their names on temple prayer roll they are free to choose for themselves. We need patience and strength from the Lord and to let them know of our deep love for them x
We lost our son a couple years ago. He was inactive and had fallen into an environment he couldn’t get out of. Although he was inactive, he never forgot his testimony amongst the nonsense that surrounded him. I’m sure he’s teaching in heaven now and embracing the things he found impossible to embrace in this world. Our Heavenly Father and our Savior never gives up on us. .. and so you shouldn’t either. Keep the faith, keep praying and never give up hope.
Do not give up on your son! I have two sons; both served honorable missions, the oldest is now serving as a bishop for the second time but his brother's wife is a wonderful woman but not a spiritual person so he no longer participates. While he may have left activity in the church, his gospel background has not left him. His wife has serious health conditions but has volunteered in many organizations over the years to less the lives of others and he is very supportive of her and what she does. God still has both of them in His sights and his Dad and I don't worry about either of them.
Havenly Father sent me a child that went off the deep end. I didn't give up. I loved her and supported her to the best of my abilities. She's 33 and just recently took out her endowments. The adversary had a great deal of influence over her. 1 child out of wedlock. Another preganacy with a marriage. Their struggles together has been epic. Through it all I have been there. Your son was been sent to you because Heavenly Father KNOWS, YOU are the best and most loving mother he will ever have. Doubts will come. I found reading my Book of Mormon every night before bed along with prayer really eased my heart and gave me more strength to be there for her. If I was really tired I would read 1 verse in place of a full chapter. Please read about Alma and his story of conversion. Say your prayers even in the most quiet and secret part of your heart for his GRACE to Strengthen you because I can guarantee that Heavenly Father has something wonderful for your son to accomplish and he will be able to do this because YOU ARE HIS MOTHER!! May the Lord bless and protect you and your son. May the Lord's countenance shine upon you both and give you peace.
Or, you could accept that your son has chosen a different path for himself. And maybe that’s not the path you would choose for Him but that’s just it- he’s not you and he needs to find what is best for him. The Mormon people seem to think they have the only way to happiness. That is just not the case for the majority of the world. Accept and love him unconditionally no matter what path he chooses - that’s how parents and families should be
i had a dream like that a few days ago...as the plane was falling i just closed my eyes began to talk to god over and over, while praying the fear left me, i felt at peace, warm and in a spiritual zone. Then i woke up! All i could say is wow!
I can't express how much I needed to hear this. My world has been so full of fear and sadness lately. Recently I lost my grandfather and this summer my dad was diagnosed with lymphoma in the same week that my grandmother was diagnosed with leukemia. I'm only sixteen but I have had to become more of an adult than I would like. The last few months have been especially hard for me when I've felt most alone. I now realize that all I need is to lean on the Lord as I one knew how when I was little.
On November 12, 1976, President Nelson boarded a Piper PA-31, registered as N74985. It took off from Salt Lake City, bound for St. George. Halfway into the trip, the right turboprop engine failed, and exploded as a result. In an attempt to put out the flames, the pilot made a quick maneuver to cut off the fuel and dive. fortunately, this worked, and the pilot re-applied the fuel and made a safe emergency landing in Delta, Utah. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
I can testify that this is true. I love who I have had the opportunity to become, those that I have had the chance to help. Grateful for the opportunities I've had. Happy that I have the chance to live. Proud to be a Latter-Day Saint.
It reminds me of the hymn "Where can I turn for peace." The verse that stands out to me in that song is Where can I turn for peace when other sources ceased to make me whole." This story of Elder Nelson is a great example, of how in trouble times, but also in times of sunshine, that we have the power of prayer to commune with our heavenly father. He is always ready to answers our prayers, we need to just communicate with him. I testify of that, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
How wonderful is Gods love! And the Saviors atonement... I honestly don't know what I would do without this gospel. Remember what is important and keep an eternal perspective. This life is too short. Make sure you keep God in your life so your heart doesn't fail you.
I had wet eyes watching this. Truly, Elder Nelson is an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit just reached out and touched me and confirmed the truth of what he was saying. I thank Heavenly Father for the restoration and the fullness of the Gospel in these latter days.

Testimonies from elderly people in or not in the LDS Church as well as Church leadership is the reason to honor our Elders. His words of great loss in this life show that no one is spared the sadness caused by the empty space a loved one once filled.Once a friend of mine(in his nineties) said to me as a young boy that my life would have great joy that could only be matched by times of great sadness,but in the end the joy would carry me through.With each year of life I know he was right.Thanks.
It is possible to be calm. The Holy Ghost is the comforter. Elder Nelson was a heart surgeon by profession. He's seen death occur. If a certain set of circumstances presents, it is inevitable. Death is simply the separation of the spirit and the body. Elder Nelson could feel the Holy Ghost. He has the faith to live his life with an attitude of "Thy will be done". So it is possible not to fear. May we all strive to acquire the same degree of faith.
I love Elder Nelson :) He was in my home ward through high school until our ward split. He is such a powerful speaker and a wonderful man inside and out. I only pray I can be as faithful as he is and to have that kind of strength.
The airplane story in this video reminds me of the story Jeffrey R Holland told about the missionary from Idaho in LA finding his brother and most of Paul H Dunn's stories.
Such a beautiful message, no matter what the circumstances I have had many in my life like so many others, when I ask for Gods help I get through it. 2 instances which were life changing. Both times I was brought to places of healing and getting closer to God. The last one which was 5/2010 I was found after an angel next door was there to assist, I ended up in the hosp for 2 months and long recovery but I am grateful just to be alive! Thank You Jesus for listening! I am sooo blessed!
Thank you President Nelson, that's just what I needed to hear. Two weeks ago I thought I was a fit and healthy 60 year old. One heart attack and 3 stents later, it's time out for a while. Time to count my blessings, I will always be grateful for good parents who invite the missionaries into their home, all those years ago. Grateful for all the prayers that have been said for me and my family. Acknowledging the Lord's hand in your life and fear will fly away.
Fear comes from Satan... And clearly Satan has no power over Elder Nelson. There is nothing wrong with not being scared of death if you know where you're going.. I'm a Mormon, I know it, I love it, I live it.. and I KNOW the living Christ is our Savior and Redeemer..

I just love the comfort I get from knowing that it's okay to forget sometimes. Somehow the Lord always seems to know just what I need to hear. What an incredible blessing it is. In President Nelson’s biography by Sheri Dew called “Insights”, she includes an additional insight (pun intended) that Pres Nelson gave her when talking about this experience. He noted that the main reason for his peace of mind was that he had been sealed to his wife and children and knew that he had kept his covenants. That knowledge, combined with his strong underlying faith, gave him an absolute assurance of where he would go if in fact the plane did crash. I did not know about this experience until I read about it in his biography, and it REALLY impacted me because I know I would have reacted much more like the woman beside him, because I am not yet prepared to meet God. I now have much more resolve to become fully prepared than I have had in decades - thank you Pres Nelson for your shining example to me personally and indeed to all of mankind!

I love this gospel; the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and I love his prophets....We do indeed Thank Thee oh God for a prophet, to guide us in these latter days, when perilous times can happen around the world and our faith is tested
Knowing our identity and our purpose can provide perspective. It always helps to see the big picture when I'm in the middle of the stressful or worrying details. I was a missionary volunteer in Hong Kong and was the personal witness of a young family losing their grandfather. It was saddening, of course, but sweet to see the young daughter, a member of the church, trying to share with the rest how she had faith he would live again because of Christ's gift to all mankind. Despair changes to hope.
So i've been stressing out about finals for the past couple of days now. My brother was the head of his class in school and i am on my way there but i have been taking college classes recently which have made schooling difficult for me. I rushed home and was completely stressed out when i decided to turn on a mormon message and it was this one. "Perfection comes in the next life". that automatically calmed me down. Thank you heavenly father :)
That plane landing safely was nothing short of a miracle from our Heavenly Father... He can do all things and I believe he had a purpose and plan for every single person on that flight! Amen.

Beautiful message. I have faith in Christ. Despite the challenges I have gone through and continue to face, He is my hope for the present and future. When I watch this message, I also feel it is true.
I believe in Jesus Christ. I know he is my Savior. I have read the New Testament.. and the Old testament, and I believe them to be the word of God. These men are not coming between me and Christ, they are helping me come closer to Him.
This video really portrays my feelings about life as I continue to live the Gospel. What many people fail to see from the teachings of the LDS church is the enternal perspective that comes from having an eternal family. No matter what hardships we may go through, a death in the family or a handicap sibling, everything will be made whole again by Jesus Christ, if we have faith. There have been times in my life where my faith in God and the teachings of the restored gospel were all that kept my going. If anyone is struggling and doesn’t know where to turn, turn to your Father in Heaven. He loves you and will always give you the strength to keep going.

I am in tears because my son fell away from all of the good things I tried to teach him. He's 19 and I wanted him to go on a mission to bring truth to the world. This is the Lord's work and I testify of that. But the story is not over for my son because this work is true and he will see it one day. My heart will not fail me because I trust in the strong arm of God. I am thankful to the missionaries and pray that if you are an investigator you'll listen and feel the Spirit of God as they teach.
Our prophet understands that we may have wayward children, no matter their age and it is heart breaking. I only have to think of our Heavenly Parents to see what pain they must have felt when Lucifer wanted to force us home and keep the glory and then Adam and Eve's child, and then yours and mine. We are not alone but remember although we pray and fast on their behalf and have their names on temple prayer roll they are free to choose for themselves. We need patience and strength from the Lord and to let them know of our deep love for them x
We lost our son a couple years ago. He was inactive and had fallen into an environment he couldn’t get out of. Although he was inactive, he never forgot his testimony amongst the nonsense that surrounded him. I’m sure he’s teaching in heaven now and embracing the things he found impossible to embrace in this world. Our Heavenly Father and our Savior never gives up on us. .. and so you shouldn’t either. Keep the faith, keep praying and never give up hope.
Do not give up on your son! I have two sons; both served honorable missions, the oldest is now serving as a bishop for the second time but his brother's wife is a wonderful woman but not a spiritual person so he no longer participates. While he may have left activity in the church, his gospel background has not left him. His wife has serious health conditions but has volunteered in many organizations over the years to less the lives of others and he is very supportive of her and what she does. God still has both of them in His sights and his Dad and I don't worry about either of them.
Havenly Father sent me a child that went off the deep end. I didn't give up. I loved her and supported her to the best of my abilities. She's 33 and just recently took out her endowments. The adversary had a great deal of influence over her. 1 child out of wedlock. Another preganacy with a marriage. Their struggles together has been epic. Through it all I have been there. Your son was been sent to you because Heavenly Father KNOWS, YOU are the best and most loving mother he will ever have. Doubts will come. I found reading my Book of Mormon every night before bed along with prayer really eased my heart and gave me more strength to be there for her. If I was really tired I would read 1 verse in place of a full chapter. Please read about Alma and his story of conversion. Say your prayers even in the most quiet and secret part of your heart for his GRACE to Strengthen you because I can guarantee that Heavenly Father has something wonderful for your son to accomplish and he will be able to do this because YOU ARE HIS MOTHER!! May the Lord bless and protect you and your son. May the Lord's countenance shine upon you both and give you peace.
Or, you could accept that your son has chosen a different path for himself. And maybe that’s not the path you would choose for
Him but that’s just it- he’s not you and he needs to find what is best for him. The Mormon people seem to think they have the only way to happiness. That is just not the case for the majority of the world. Accept and love him unconditionally no matter what path he chooses - that’s how parents and families should be

i had a dream like that a few days ago...as the plane was falling i just closed my eyes began to talk to god over and over, while praying the fear left me, i felt at peace, warm and in a spiritual zone. Then i woke up! All i could say is wow!
I can't express how much I needed to hear this. My world has been so full of fear and sadness lately. Recently I lost my grandfather and this summer my dad was diagnosed with lymphoma in the same week that my grandmother was diagnosed with leukemia. I'm only sixteen but I have had to become more of an adult than I would like. The last few months have been especially hard for me when I've felt most alone. I now realize that all I need is to lean on the Lord as I one knew how when I was little.

On November 12, 1976, President Nelson boarded a Piper PA-31, registered as N74985. It took off from Salt Lake City, bound for St. George. Halfway into the trip, the right turboprop engine failed, and exploded as a result. In an attempt to put out the flames, the pilot made a quick maneuver to cut off the fuel and dive. fortunately, this worked, and the pilot re-applied the fuel and made a safe emergency landing in Delta, Utah. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
I can testify that this is true. I love who I have had the opportunity to become, those that I have had the chance to help. Grateful for the opportunities I've had. Happy that I have the chance to live. Proud to be a Latter-Day Saint.

Sometimes faith is hard to have and keep but it definately pays off
It reminds me of the hymn "Where can I turn for peace." The verse that stands out to me in that song is Where can I turn for peace when other sources ceased to make me whole." This story of Elder Nelson is a great example, of how in trouble times, but also in times of sunshine, that we have the power of prayer to commune with our heavenly father. He is always ready to answers our prayers, we need to just communicate with him. I testify of that, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How wonderful is Gods love! And the Saviors atonement... I honestly don't know what I would do without this gospel. Remember what is important and keep an eternal perspective. This life is too short. Make sure you keep God in your life so your heart doesn't fail you.
This can definitely apply to these days during this current world health crisis.
I had wet eyes watching this. Truly, Elder Nelson is an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit just reached out and touched me and confirmed the truth of what he was saying. I thank Heavenly Father for the restoration and the fullness of the Gospel in these latter days.

Testimonies from elderly people in or not in the LDS Church as well as Church leadership is the reason to honor our Elders. His words of great loss in this life show that no one is spared the sadness caused by the empty space a loved one once filled.Once a friend of mine(in his nineties) said to me as a young boy that my life would have great joy that could only be matched by times of great sadness,but in the end the joy would carry me through.With each year of life I know he was right.Thanks.
"Be patient with yourself." So much kindness in that simple statement.
It is possible to be calm. The Holy Ghost is the comforter. Elder Nelson was a heart surgeon by profession. He's seen death occur. If a certain set of circumstances presents, it is inevitable. Death is simply the separation of the spirit and the body. Elder Nelson could feel the Holy Ghost. He has the faith to live his life with an attitude of "Thy will be done". So it is possible not to fear. May we all strive to acquire the same degree of faith.
Don't forget your identity or purpose. I Love this message, I am continually filled with hope every time I get the chance to listen to this :)

I love Elder Nelson :) He was in my home ward through high school until our ward split. He is such a powerful speaker and a wonderful man inside and out. I only pray I can be as faithful as he is and to have that kind of strength.
The airplane story in this video reminds me of the story Jeffrey R Holland told about the missionary from Idaho in LA finding his brother and most of Paul H Dunn's stories.

Such a beautiful message, no matter what the circumstances I have had many in my life like so many others, when I ask for Gods help I get through it. 2 instances which were life changing. Both times I was brought to places of healing and getting closer to God. The last one which was 5/2010 I was found after an angel next door was there to assist, I ended up in the hosp for 2 months and long recovery but I am grateful just to be alive! Thank You Jesus for listening! I am sooo blessed!
Thank you President Nelson, that's just what I needed to hear. Two weeks ago I thought I was a fit and healthy 60 year old. One heart attack and 3 stents later, it's time out for a while. Time to count my blessings, I will always be grateful for good parents who invite the missionaries into their home, all those years ago. Grateful for all the prayers that have been said for me and my family. Acknowledging the Lord's hand in your life and fear will fly away.

Fear comes from Satan... And clearly Satan has no power over Elder Nelson. There is nothing wrong with not being scared of death if you know where you're going.. I'm a Mormon, I know it, I love it, I live it.. and I KNOW the living Christ is our Savior and Redeemer..

I always get goosebumps. I can't even believe how true this is. I forget all the time my purpose and identity and fear for when I will meet my maker. I just love the comfort I get from knowing that it's okay to forget sometimes. Somehow the Lord always seems to know just what I need to hear. What an incredible blessing it is. Thank you a hundred times over.

In President Nelson’s biography by Sheri Dew called “Insights”, she includes an additional insight (pun intended) that Pres Nelson gave her when talking about this experience. He noted that the main reason for his peace of mind was that he had been sealed to his wife and children and knew that he had kept his covenants. That knowledge, combined with his strong underlying faith, gave him an absolute assurance of where he would go if in fact the plane did crash. I did not know about this experience until I read about it in his biography, and it REALLY impacted me because I know I would have reacted much more like the woman beside him, because I am not yet prepared to meet God. I now have much more resolve to become fully prepared than I have had in decades - thank you Pres Nelson for your shining example to me personally and indeed to all of mankind!

Just this past year the MOST BEAUTIFUL AND FAITHFUL WOMAN I KNOW passed away to the other side. She is my Role Model and Inspiration along side the Lord. My mother has helped me and guided my family to TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL OUR HEARTS.
This video has helped me gain a stronger testimony about True Living Prophets today and how the Lord has Great power that can give me GREAT STRENGTH that can help my FAITH grow in times of HARDSHIP.
I can truly feel the GREAT POWER that comes from his words about how in times of hardships and tragedies if we all just have "FAITH" than we will know how to handle our difficulties. He doesn't mean that we will know how to get rid of our trials or stop them from happening but to know how to react in a way that will help us get through them.

Thank you Elder Nelson! Trully we are blessed to have such an amazing servant among us.
Knowing our identity and our purpose can provide perspective. It always helps to see the big picture when I'm in the middle of the stressful or worrying details. I was a missionary volunteer in Hong Kong and was the personal witness of a young family losing their grandfather. It was saddening, of course, but sweet to see the young daughter, a member of the church, trying to share with the rest how she had faith he would live again because of Christ's gift to all mankind. Despair changes to hope.
So i've been stressing out about finals for the past couple of days now. My brother was the head of his class in school and i am on my way there but i have been taking college classes recently which have made schooling difficult for me. I rushed home and was completely stressed out when i decided to turn on a mormon message and it was this one. "Perfection comes in the next life". that automatically calmed me down. Thank you heavenly father :)

This is a true video, in that I have been through some tumultuous times and relied on my faith to see me through. Jesus Christ brings us hope and life everlasting. And erases that fear and inserts that calmness in our lives. I know the church is true.

I believe in Jesus Christ. I know he is my Savior. I have read the New Testament.. and the Old testament, and I believe them to be the word of God. These men are not coming between me and Christ, they are helping me come closer to Him.
This video really portrays my feelings about life as I continue to live the Gospel. What many people fail to see from the teachings of the LDS church is the enternal perspective that comes from having an eternal family. No matter what hardships we may go through, a death in the family or a handicap sibling, everything will be made whole again by Jesus Christ, if we have faith.
