Never owned one of these devices myself but my stepfather did and he seemed to really enjoy it. It is kind of crazy to me seeing how small this device is compared with what modern phones are like.
The main problem with Blackberry is there marketing. We don't see any Blackberry commercials whereas we see Apple, Samsung, and Motorola commercials all the time.

The evident mix of apps missing was also what ended up killing them. This was a stupidly intuitive phone and it just looked so good. Half of these features have been stolen and implemented into iOS and Android.
I think the only way Blackberry can survive is to ditch their OS and go android, sure it'll make them look desperate, but i think they will hold a decent amount of market share if they go android.

What i am pointing out? blackberry market is for the persons who are busy in their work. Apple and Android are for those kids and adults who want their phones to be their gadget for playing, texting, playing music, videos, and the likes.
Kram Siger yeah sure i hear you and i like your comment too. but i know a lot of businessmen who have switched to android. don't know about IOS. and yes i agree emails are the best in a blackberry. but now even though android doesn't compare to blackberry when it comes to email clients, it does have an enormous app market and thousands of code jockeys busy building apps by the minute. what i'm getting at is that there are few third party email client apps that are on par with blackberry's native email app. and which in turn businessmen found useful. hence so many businessmen switched. what the Android native OS lacks, it is made up for in Apps. Don't get me wrong Blackberry is a heck of a good phone, premium build, competition hardware and all. for Blackberry to take a leap of faith to android just might be what the doctor ordered. remember these days its not the loyalty that counts, its the App stores. An android phone is just as versatile as a Blackberry in the business world, if they make the move to android, blackberry might get back previous loyalists who have now gotten used to Android. I like what they are doing now with the whole android app integration to their OS 10.2.1.
Well I get your point. Maybe we just have different perceptions about the BB. BTW, some android apps can now be run into the blackberry 10.2 os, which I think a good step for them. Blackberry will not defeat ios and android, that's already given mate, I think that what BB is trying to do is for them to somewhat catch up their sales and to meet their targeted market. They will not dominate but they would just provide. Sorry mate if I got you angry or something. peace ^_^
My first blackberry, it was so stylish and so beautiful. I lost mine a couple years ago but im so in love with this phone (even though its software and everything is pretty much outdated ) that im gonna buy this phone again Tomorrow. Already ordered, getting it tomorrow 1PM GMT
The BlackBerry Z10 in white is still one of the best looking smart phones to date. Now looking forward to the highly innovative Slider BB10 smart phone.
I quite like these phones. It's a shame BB is struggling at the moment, because Blackberry's OS is pretty solid and feels a lot more responsive than Android or iOS. It's also WAY more secure. Unlike the old BB phones, the battery doesn't last all week though :D
It's been a few years since I've had a Blackberry. I've seen a few of the Z10 reviews online and I must say that they did a pretty good job with it. With that said, I think this Z10 will keep BB users with the brand but I don't think it's bringing anything game changing where an Apple or Android user would have to switch to it. This white version of the Z10 does look really good though.
I just bought this phone today.. as my secondary. Still playing around with it as we speak to get used to it and all I can say is that I really like the feel of it. Feels very solid. As for anything else.. well I'm not sure lol still figuring it out
Its a nice phone. I hate that black berry is in the state its in now.. And I wonder about the coverage.. I hope they make a return, bc I like their phones. The last phone they released was the Storm and I was impressed with it, even though its been 6 yrs since then.. Its always been a sleek, class and practical phone that is user friendly.. I could see them competing with Apple and Android in the future if they continue to make phones like this.. I really like the simple, sleekness about it.

You can't count Z10 running Android apps.. because android apps are so slow on Z10, and notifications are shity from android apps on Z10. I have Z10 for about 3-4 months and this is the bigest mistake I made. Still mad on myself.. So, if you can put some more money and buy Nexus 4, buy it! It is another world for S4 Mini and Z10. Peace.
As far as battery life goes, they're about the same with regular use, the advantage is that the Z10 has a removable rear cover and you can upgrade the memory via MicroSD or swap out battereis. LTE is incredibly faster than 3G. Also I think the blackberry has built in software that allows you to save youtube videos, but i'm not entirely sure.
Have been using the Z10 for almost 3 years now. It's the best phone I have ever had! Performance is still on top! I have never had a phone this long. The only thing that is becoming kinda "outdated" is the 1,800mAh battery - it get's me through the day, but it would be nice to have a bigger one which would get me through a day & a night! ;)
run fun Hey! What update should have messed it up? The very first versions (10.0 & 10.1) were still buggy. But that's a thing of the very, very, very beginning (in 2013). After 10.2.1 with every update it ran smoother and the runtime for Android got better. Now we are at 10.3.1 - and it's the best version so far. It has a battery saving mode (which gives you about 25% more battery life) and the browser got more security features - which makes it to most secure browser ever. In March version 10.3.3. will be released which includes the highest possible standards of security (government standard) and in fall 10.3.4 will follow. So don't worry about those "horror" stories. ;)

Trust me when i say blackberry is safe, i got big dollars in the company and with their new C.E.O and new phone the Q10 coming out the companies worth has been going up day by day. its going to be the year of a new blackberry. I nearly got this phone!! But since I had always had touch screen phones, I wanted a qwerty phone... bad decision. I chose the curve 9320 and regret it everyday. Take my advise and if you are debating over a touch screen or qwerty - go for a touch screen because in my opinion they are more reliable. Just a hint ;) x

Do you want a cheap smartphone that runs android that has all the apps and customisation you can think of? Or do you want a more sophisticated phone that is mainly used for emails and communicating with not many apps? It all comes down to what you desire in a smartphone. For me personally, I would buy the Moto g, as it has a slightly larger screen, more apps and games and I can customise my phone more. If that doesn't matter, I'm sure the Z10 will deliver a great experience.

Also, the option to take panoramic shots are way better than in Android phones and iPhones today. You just pan the camera to the square to make a sequence, instead of continuously rotate your phone which it can produce some errors like misaligned shots and more of that.
Good day BlackBerry, for the first time in my life I feel to express some level of displeasure with being BlackBerry owner. I’ve owned a BlackBerry from since way back when. I’ve owned a BlackBerry Bold 9000, 2 Curves, 2 torches, the bold 9800 and am now the owner of a Z10. I don’t think anyone besides Barack Obama may be as loyal to the brand as I am. Even more so I hosted 3 huge blackberry parties in my country (Antigua) called the “BlackBerry Boom” which your company played an integral role in 2 of the 3 if my memory serves correct. The launching of this party and anyone can testify was what really streamlined BB in this market. BB sales went through the roof. The exact words from the marketing manager of the cell phone company was “Kevin you created a monster”. I say all this to say that I expected with after the introduction of the Z10 all the bugs in BB would have been resolved. Currently my apps freeze, I loose contacts anonymously, sometimes my calls stick and I can’t end a call, and I found in the last 2 weeks I have to restart my phone daily, and now the frequency in which I have to restart my phone everyday is increasing. I never in my left felt I would switch from BlackBerry, but today I felt I should. Even after wiping my phone and reloading it the problems still exist. Today I just really felt I needed to take the time out to express this, all the best in the future BB.

i used 9900, honstely was really good, if blackberry services worked and all that cant fault it, keyboard and everything, full charge in 1hour last for ages. anyways emails and accounts fucked up so got sony xperia, never looked back :/. all the apps, navigation, camera everything, just wish android could charge fast the same and boot up in 5 seconds haha.

some people commenting here are misguided. The Z10 did not copy the HTC one m7...the z10 was released in jan 2013 where as the m7 in feb and released in march...so who copied who? you decide...everyone copies so get over yourselves.
bb10 can run android apps directly to your phone as long as you have 10.2.1 and newer just go to settings look for app mananger and then install apps ensure that it is on and u can download amazon appstore, one mobile market etc. Hope this help u guys with ur apps solution on bb 10
the latest update for the Z10 - 10.2, is a fantastic update with a lot of improved features, and the next update that which will be out hopefully sooner then later will give more access to more android apps. this phone is really coming into its own. Like to these guys give an update on the new update.
Blackberry is a great phone, really decent and basic... especially when you have had one of the OLDER models... love those phone But my point is if you say its shit... then that means youve never had a basic smart phone amd you arent used to it

I have white BlackBerry Z10 as well. But mine didn't come with headphones nor did it come with a white charger. I got it for Verizon at Best Buy. Is that why it didn't come with either of those things?

The only reason the BB struggles with apps is bc the system it uses isnt really integrated in the American market. Itunes and Google Play store currently has a grip.. But the phone itself is nice.

Do you want a cheap smartphone that runs android that has all the apps and customisation you can think of? Or do you want a more sophisticated phone that is mainly used for emails and communicating with not many apps?
It all comes down to what you desire in a smartphone. For me personally, I would buy the Moto g, as it has a slightly larger screen, more apps and games and I can customise my phone more. If that doesn't matter, I'm sure the Z10 will deliver a great experience.

blackberry is basically dead and bbm is now on all other platform which means there's possibly no reasons u should pick blackberry over ios, android and WP8.1!
Don't forget you can get Android apps on BlackBerry as well. I have a Z10, and it's a great phone

Literally me. I’m currently an iPhone user and I used the Z10 from 2015 to 2018 until I bought an Android phone in May 2018.
Also, the option to take panoramic shots are way better than in Android phones and iPhones today. You just pan the camera to the square to make a sequence, instead of continuously rotate your phone which it can produce some errors like misaligned shots and more of that.

Good day BlackBerry, for the first time in my life I feel to express some level of displeasure with being BlackBerry owner. I’ve owned a BlackBerry from since way back when. I’ve owned a BlackBerry Bold 9000, 2 Curves, 2 torches, the bold 9800 and am now the owner of a Z10. I don’t think anyone besides Barack Obama may be as loyal to the brand as I am. Even more so I hosted 3 huge blackberry parties in my country (Antigua) called the “BlackBerry Boom” which your company played an integral role in 2 of the 3 if my memory serves correct. The launching of this party and anyone can testify was what really streamlined BB in this market. BB sales went through the roof. The exact words from the marketing manager of the cell phone company was “Kevin you created a monster”. I say all this to say that I expected with after the introduction of the Z10 all the bugs in BB would have been resolved. Currently my apps freeze, I loose contacts anonymously, sometimes my calls stick and I can’t end a call, and I found in the last 2 weeks I have to restart my phone daily, and now the frequency in which I have to restart my phone everyday is increasing. I never in my left felt I would switch from BlackBerry, but today I felt I should. Even after wiping my phone and reloading it the problems still exist. Today I just really felt I needed to take the time out to express this, all the best in the future BB.

Z10 in 18k is not a bad deal at all.Although I myself never liked BB but common z10 in just 18k? Samsung grand 1 comes in 18k,z10 is far better go for it. I bought it as a secondary phone.Its not bad at all.
I dun think you know what you are talking about.. For 18000, its a steal dude.... I bot one for my wife 6 months back, for 29000 and i absolutely loved it. Its a great phone....I used to joke that I am going to take her phone. Now its available on ebay for 16,400.. :) and guess what..... :)
i used 9900, honstely was really good, if blackberry services worked and all that cant fault it, keyboard and everything, full charge in 1hour last for ages. anyways emails and accounts fucked up so got sony xperia, never looked back :/. all the apps, navigation, camera everything, just wish android could charge fast the same and boot up in 5 seconds haha.
I think you should get one personally i dont think blackberry are dead yet (they are nearly) but it is a good value phone! Im getting one soon!:)

some people commenting here are misguided. The Z10 did not copy the HTC one m7...the z10 was released in jan 2013 where as the m7 in feb and released in march...so who copied who? you decide...everyone copies so get over yourselves.
bb10 can run android apps directly to your phone as long as you have 10.2.1 and newer just go to settings look for app mananger and then install apps ensure that it is on and u can download amazon appstore, one mobile market etc.

the latest update for the Z10 - 10.2, is a fantastic update with a lot of improved features, and the next update that which will be out hopefully sooner then later will give more access to more android apps. this phone is really coming into its own. Like to these guys give an update on the new update.
Blackberry is a great phone, really decent and basic... especially when you have had one of the OLDER models... love those phone
But my point is if you say its shit... then that means youve never had a basic smart phone amd you arent used to it

I have white BlackBerry Z10 as well. But mine didn't come with headphones nor did it come with a white charger. I got it for Verizon at Best Buy. Is that why it didn't come with either of those things?

The only reason the BB struggles with apps is bc the system it uses isnt really integrated in the American market. Itunes and Google Play store currently has a grip.. But the phone itself is nice.

I had this phone it such a piece of shit it unbelievable in every way att doesn't even carry them anymore, it had not apps even after two year of owning it not even netflix or chrome, and the os is riddled with bugs after two years
