Looking at the Museum of Freedom, down the road and to the LEFT(edited) there is a sheltered bench and blue fallout capsule. @ It’s incredibly hard to get it early levels. I had the same problem and it pissed me off. The best and easiest way is to save up enough caps to buy the Overseer’s Right Armguard in Vault 81. After level 70+ (IIRC) you’ll find it on gunners. (Commanders, Corporals, etc) So yeah, if you want it you’ll have to buy it. Also, you can try searching up ways to temporarily increase your charisma to make the piece of armor cheaper.
I have only played FO4 on a PC so I don't know if this carries over to other platforms. There is a military checkpoint just north west of Wattz Consumer Electronics with a locked semi trailer ( advanced lock) that contains two full sets of combat armor including helmets along with four combat rifles and 500 rounds of ammo. You can reach the wooden crates that hold the armor without opening the door.
Just an FYI for new or returning players - if you play in 'Survival' mode - some of these hints are somewhat difficult (still work but are harder) - no fast travel and harder hitting enemies etc
That's kinda the point with survival mode but their is another work around using the settlement system, it takes a fair bit of setup compared to just going to Jamaica plains though. I'll try to make a video on it
TIP -- Open every Settlement you find. Build a bed and water pump. Now you have more than 30 places around the Commonwealth to dump loot and sleep/save and/or fill bottles with water.
Deb at Bunker Hill sells a very nice legendary combat armor chest, +1 str, +1end. Black Ops, i think it's called. There's another Black Ops piece she sells, too (i think it's +agi, +per? Not sure.), but being the pack-rat that i am, the +str is gold for me.
Yeah, Black Ops armor is nice (as well as Commander and Overseer combat armors) but Black Ops is kind of expensive. Build a lot of heavy water purifiers at Sanctuary and you'll be able to afford it soon enough.
Do you know if the Black Ops combat armor chest is a medium or heavy version? I have a assaultron helmet and it think I need a heavier chest piece to round out the look.
It's a little unnerving to sit here and watch you playing Fallout 4 again, and I'm learning stuff again about Fallout 4. It feels longer than 8 years ago... I may have conflated all of Bethesda's broken games fixed by the modding community, which I was one of those modders... And think I'm watching you play Skyrim... Ah, every time I got all my nude ladies protecting me in dragon armor, WHAM dragon pops out of no where and kills them all. Thank you Todd... Without you, ppl would think Bethesda was a real boy.
Roger that. Their camp is across the river from the Slog. When I first found them I was being chased by a Deathclaw. They shot me a time or two then concentrated on the deathclaw and I got away. I finished them off by sniping from across the river.
I am not even sure that I would even attempt to make my way all the way to Jamaica Plain at level 1 just for armor, even combat armor, though I might try it just for a lark. Hardened is max in Fallout 76,(Well not counting Prime anyway) but in Fallout 4 I am pretty sure there are powerful and advanced mods as well for the sniper rifle. Also the light on the helmet does not work that is true, but there IS a mod that makes it work.
@ESO - Your textures, lighting & Pip Boy map look really great. I'm pretty certain you'd have a substantial viewing audience if you were to do a modded Very Hard or Survival chaptered playthrough of Fallout 4... considering how much interest has been generated by the Amazon Prime series. Cheers!
7:40 How the hell do you butcher the name Bridget? Bridge-et LOL Btw, the heavy armor set on her is in the Hub City Auto Wreckers across the highway from Saugus Iron Works, by Finch Farm and The Slog.
Funny thing i went to JP to free up the settlement (which is a crap settlement) and that corps was missing...it was the 1st time there...glitch im thinking.
Im disappointed I didnt pick up the heavy combat armor when I killed the enclave at their camps. I didnt know they were all different. I figured it was an appearance thing.
I was trying to get the heavy combat armor and initially i got nuked by the captain but on my second try I was able to kill everyone but the captain was nowhere to be seen. If there are any other locations for the armor I'd like to know
I'm planning on reinstalling this i have all the Dlc i want to see what the new stuff is that came with the update and do a bit of mods to make the game look and play smoother.
Will a gunner appear in the gunner trap wearing this heavy armor at some point? So far I only have a complete set of normal armor with helmet .I am level 27
If you are going to run all the way down to Jamaica Plain at that lvl grab the scoped/sniper combat rifle on top of the South Boston Military Checkpoint. Hop up on the terminal to the power armor cage outside then the roof
And get there easily: NE from Sanctuary at the Robotics Disposal get eject Sentry bot software, use iit in pipboy, activate it snd set defensive protocol to South Boston Checkpoint. This baby will destroy anything just follow it.
And set the power armor to T-45 in the process instead of keeping your distance and allowing the PA to level up to XO-1. Not all PA will level up that far but that one does.
You have Fallout 4 on Disk ??? I thought you could only get it from the internet. You know, when they say you own it but keep physical possession and control everything that you try to do as they periodically try to debug their unfinished game but actually make it worse.
There's no advanced receiver for the Hunting Rifle. The "best" mod is either the .50 Cal receiver, but that's a different ammo or the Calibrated Powerful Receiver if you want to stick with .308
You can get a near full set of heavy combat armor extremely early if you can manage to take out captain Bridgette at hub city auto wreckers. On most difficulties popping some chems and bringing a combat rifle would probably do the job. On survival same thing applies but you may want to wear power armor just to get the set. Keep in mind captain Bridgette usually has a fat man on her so you'll need to be at least slightly cautious. It is 100 percent worth it if you aren't rushing Nuka world. Even if you are heavy combat armor could help assist you in taking out the Nuka world raiders. ALSO PRO TIP: You can fully upgrade a set of light combat armor with armorer 2 I believe then take the mods off the light combat armor and apply it to the heavy. The game looks at armor of the same type in different weight classes as the same. This means you can fully upgrade heavy combat armor super early just by having armorer 2 if you know what you're doing. Probably got 1000 hours in this game and only figured this out recently.
Captain Bridgette doesn't typically spawn with heavy Combat Armor early on. You probably got lucky on the RNG. Baker down at Quincy will typically have a near complete set of heavy CA though by the time you make it that far normally
@@toakongu1 I just killed her at level 1 and she had heavy combat armor. Actually killed her with 2 different characters at level 1 and both times was heavy.
@@toakongu1 IDK either. The wiki says "She typically spawns with a nearly-complete set of heavy combat armor, missing only the right arm, but may also have power armor." Actually looking back I killed her 3 times at level one (on my test run, before filming a survival vid, was on very easy) and she had heavy all three times.
Anyone who actually plays Fallout, knows that Legendary armor pieces, regardless of type, are what you want. Perception +1, etc. Like the Army Fatigues, etc.
Well ish. You want all the legendary effects that have unique mechanics. Lower stamina consumption, increased stats via rads, junkies and such. Reason being most people that play will special dupe their stats to 20 anyway.
Love the game! Has so much more potential. They should do a Fallout IV and so on connecting the east to the west. They can do this through DLC and it is many cities/Fallout episodes to link the East and West!
Tickles the imagination. Learn the geography of the lower 48. Would take developers 50 years to build it only along the Interstates and the mostly destroyed major cities they go thru, even with a separate game engine for each state along the route. Players trucking along the Interstate, centered in a mile wide corridor, till they come up to a huge glowing hole and have to go back to an interstate junction going north or south to find another going west, hope it is not blocked too. Some of those going North and/or South are also blocked. Danger of Feral Ghouls every step of the way. Intact cities with strong home guards. Can you go around, or do you have to fight your way thru the city ? Many rivers to cross. Most intact bridges are heavily guarded, especially near cities. Not enough Fusion cores to make the trek in Power Armor. Can you put it in a vehicle you can pull along the highways. Something new to dream about each night.
The folks trying this will need to be modded and being modded are searching hard for new adventures. I mean, how much fun is it the 20th time you clear Diamond City with your modded 10mm pistol.
How do you make your map look realistic? You can see the breaks in the highway on your map and rocky terrain, but it is just regular lines on mine. I tried to google it but nothing is popping up so I figured I would just ask. I am playing on the ps5 if that is relevant. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Good luc k with getting to Jamaican Plains at level 1 :)
I swear the right heavy arm is like the chances of the Kauai 00 bird still being alive
Vault 81 has the Overseer's right arm.

The gunners at Parsons Asylum are not regular gunners. They are guards for Jack Cabot.
After the next gen update, the enclave has taking up position near the bridge the hub City Auto hellfire power armor and flamer launcher
Good video, thank you.
Remember if you do enough bos quests you can just change combat armour to bos combat armour on any armour workbench and vice versa
Cheers!
Ohhhh it’s a mod? lol I just posted a comment asking how to make my pip boy map look that realistic. Didn’t know it was a mod.
The asylum is a great place to farm combat armor and combat rifles. Easy loot and great to sell for caps.
7:40 How the hell do you butcher the name Bridget? Bridge-et
LOL
Btw, the heavy armor set on her is in the Hub City Auto Wreckers across the highway from Saugus Iron Works, by Finch Farm and The Slog.
4:04 will the combat armor be more heavy depending on ur level?
honestly dont think i need this to make the trek when i've already got power armor and minutemen general uniform.
Man, I wish I had the same graphics on PS5, looks beautiful
Funny thing i went to JP to free up the settlement (which is a crap settlement) and that corps was missing...it was the 1st time there...glitch im thinking.
I went to jamaica plain. And my luck was so bad, that a fucking car was in the room where i can loot sal’s body for combat armor 💀
Time to find an earlier save and try again.
Im disappointed I didnt pick up the heavy combat armor when I killed the enclave at their camps. I didnt know they were all different. I figured it was an appearance thing.
What’s mods are you using to make the Commonwealth look so nice.
Question, are you using a detailed map mod? Because that map is very very detailed
I literally used to do this every new playthru, and the torches do work - (just download the bright melmet lights mod)
I was trying to get the heavy combat armor and initially i got nuked by the captain but on my second try I was able to kill everyone but the captain was nowhere to be seen. If there are any other locations for the armor I'd like to know
She may have fallen. I got lucky and found her dead below the bridge.
as a Spanish speaker I actually appreciate the Spanish voiceover
Theres gotta be someplace closer to Sanctuary.
Unfortunately not
What mod is used here for the nice green vegetation?
I used the power armor that you can find down the road a bit from the giant sign. Much easier at low lvls
I'm planning on reinstalling this i have all the Dlc i want to see what the new stuff is that came with the update and do a bit of mods to make the game look and play smoother.
Meanwhile.. random Enclave dudes in full armor jumps me while I'm sneaking past mole rats early survival mode 😢
Off topic, but which landscape mods are you using and which pip boy mod to make the map look like that? Thank you!!
It's in the auto installing mod list on our website ☺️
@@ESOdanny thank you
Contraptions added the ability to manufacture armor. I do think it's gated by level and perks though.
Great video ! What pip-boy map mod do u use ? (Any PS4/PS5 variant out there btw ?)
Could you do a walkthrough on how to get the maxson battlcoat
Damn Captain Bridget was not there in my game but a Power Armored Gunner that I had to kill was
Combat amour + army fatigues and battered fedora w/ ballistic weave = dmg resistance over 300 easy.
I can't wait to play this again. Between the show & the new update. I have to repurchase tho. Can't use disc in series S.
You have Fallout 4 on Disk ??? I thought you could only get it from the internet. You know, when they say you own it but keep physical possession and control everything that you try to do as they periodically try to debug their unfinished game but actually make it worse.
And just remember that this armor is good . But great armor has stats on it like 1 to str and 1 to int for example !!!!!
Hardened is the best receiver for a hunting rifle I thought advanced was
There's no advanced receiver for the Hunting Rifle. The "best" mod is either the .50 Cal receiver, but that's a different ammo or the Calibrated Powerful Receiver if you want to stick with .308
@@Killer-wi1mr I see I was mistaken
Yes this was in the video.
@@toakongu1 I just killed her at level 1 and she had heavy combat armor. Actually killed her with 2 different characters at level 1 and both times was heavy.
@@TheInsaneShecklador Interesting. Far as I know her armor is typically level dependent. Idk if I was wrong or if you got lucky twice
@@toakongu1 IDK either. The wiki says "She typically spawns with a nearly-complete set of heavy combat armor, missing only the right arm, but may also have power armor."
Actually looking back I killed her 3 times at level one (on my test run, before filming a survival vid, was on very easy) and she had heavy all three times.
Sal doesn't spawn in my game ! And I don't know why!
Thank you so much this was a helpful guide I’m new to fallout but you got another sub
Started a new game, never did beat it
Hi in looking for the explosieve shotgun , at What level can i expect the drop ? At level 40 ?
I got mine at level 70. Random loot, not farmed.
Why bother with combat helmet when there are hats you can Ballistic Weave to be far superior defensively plus whatever stat it had?
The folks trying this will need to be modded and being modded are searching hard for new adventures. I mean, how much fun is it the 20th time you clear Diamond City with your modded 10mm pistol.
How do you make your map look realistic? You can see the breaks in the highway on your map and rocky terrain, but it is just regular lines on mine. I tried to google it but nothing is popping up so I figured I would just ask. I am playing on the ps5 if that is relevant. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Yes, PC is better, but I'm thinking it's a MOD.
Man
The spanish translation sounds so cursed
I love it lol
Oh noo 😂 is it understandable?
@@ESOdanny tbh yeah
It has some mistakes like something translated with Google translate but still understandable c:
