Just a bit of trivia for you in case didn’t know, the guy who plays James, the preachers right hand man, is Troy Baker who voiced and motion capped Joel in the original video game. Also the guy who played Perry in episodes 4 & 5 is Tommy’s original voice & mo-cap actor and even better it’s the actual original video game actor who plays Marlene from episode 1. How cool is it that the producers honoured the source material in this way?
can we all collectively get a hug from pedro? he seems like the kindest, gentlest man who gives the best hugs. bella’s screaming, hyperventilating and whimpering broke my heart. how soft pedro said “look, it’s me.” how david took ellie’s coat from her, while joel immediately bundles her up in his own…my heart. joel finally allows himself to let ellie into his heart by calling her “baby girl”, what he called sarah. that’s his daughter now, and he’ll do everything in his power to protect her. ❤❤❤
they did such a good job with the acting.. as a parent and father this episode causes me so much rage Against david the first time i watched it i was left shaking, even though joel was very very sick he needed to get to ellie that is what drove him.
in case you couldnt tell that whole burning diner scene was a level in the game. you snuck around the place avoiding david and attacking him with the knife and running away. then the cut scene with him on top of her and she does chop him with the cleaver the same way in the game.
What breaks my heart is to think that when Joel found her and saw her look, He could imagine everything those people could have done to her to make her this scared...🥲💔
he was so worried. what also breaks me is hearing ellie just whimper and cry into his shoulder while he holds her. you can see that she knows she’s safe with him now and she can just let it out. and the way he sort of rocked her while holding her, like you would a baby. 😢
So I pretty much grew up in a restaurant kitchen and worked in several of them as an adult as well. This episode always cracks me up because of the cage. There is ZERO reason to have a chain link jail cell in a restaurant kitchen. Maybe to lock up the booze but thats usually done in a room or walk-in not a cage. If I walked into the back of a restaurant and saw an empty cage like that I would nope the hell out of there so fast. Nobody questioned why that's there? lmao I suppose they could have built it themselves but why not just use the town police department building? They all have holding cells.
"I don't have a squadron, Fedra is five minutes away, what I do have is you, and I know what you're both capable of" -Marlene "All the shit we did" -Tess "They weren't things... we murdered people" -Tommy This is what everybody was talking about. This is the Joel that rose out of Sarah's death And I love how Ayala has been reacting pretty strongly for the whole season while Ron was pretty chill... Not this episode, though... This one got him good haha
In the game it doesn't outright say what David's plans for Ellie are, it's hinted at quite obviously to where it's clear that they aren't necessarily hiding his predatory nature towards Ellie but the show just smacks you in the face with it! It's a different type of sinister than the game and honestly one that still makes chills go down my spine when I watch it. The actor who plays David did an amazing job, I can't imagine how uncomfortable it was to play this kind of role! I do however prefer the ending of the game when it comes to Ellie killing David. Joel found Ellie as she was actively killing him, he pulled her off of him and was very quick to comfort her as soon as she realized it was him. She wasn't alone in dealing with the immediate aftermath of killing David, she didn't have to force herself to calm down from intense adrenaline to get out of the building because Joel was able to lead her out as her adrenaline dropped. I just prefer it due to how traumatic the experience would be for Ellie and how she had to save herself from David and the fire (not saying she can't when it's clear she can but she's still a child so I think her parental figure saving her added more to their bond).
Joel told her "it's okay baby girl" which is what he called Sarah. My heart!
"They are meant for each other." 😭❤️

It really is amazing that they did that, so cool.
27:57 In episode 1 Tess told Joel that Robert was terrified of Joel. This is why.
Indeed 🫣 we always knew, but now... it's different to see him in action.
@13:30 "They wanted to take the horse probably." .....yeah, for sure. The horse. Mhmm. Yep. Yummy horse. 👀😂

Just read that our Pedro is in talks to do a rom-com. Yes! Prayers are being answered!!
Omg YES😍

It's just a heart breaking moment, her look, his immediate comfort ❤️🩹
28:45 😅😅 when you realized 😂
🤣🫣THE SHOCK
Just found you two and I am enjoying the reactions! You guys make me smile and laugh! Can't wait to watch more of your videos!
Welcome 😍 happy to have you!!

That's actually funny 🤣 maybe the place she was held was a different part of the building?🤔 haha, but yeah, it doesn't make sense 😅

Such a scary episode. But it is cool that James is played by the guy who voiced Joel in the game.
Apparently the bottle medicine like that comes in has instructions on the label for how to use it, so Ellie just needed to read it.
It's a nice touch that if Ellie had known that penicillin should be seet in deep muscle, like butt, thigh, or hip, it would have worked much faster.
This episode in the Game was intense❤
Can’t wait to see the reaction for the last episode.
Great reaction!!
Thanks 🥹
ONE MORE EPISODE TO GOOOO RAHHHHH😫
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of The Last Of Us!!!!😊😊😊😊
Thank you 🥰
Joel at 10% will DESTROY you to save his girl. David was the most scary “ monster “ of the season.
I'd like you guys to watch "Fallout". Joe couldn't let the two prisoners go. They would have come back with many more.

What an amazing reaction. This episode is deeply disturbing but also incredible
Thanks! It was so hard to edit and watch again 🫣 crazy episode.
a typical sect. the leader does what he wants, and the others look away and pretend that everything is normal! (even the menu!..😊)
EVEN THE MENU🫣
This episode is epic and disturbing just like it is in the game
Omg im so curious to see how it's like in the game 🫣
Good lord, leave your nose alone, or blow it before recording. Sheesh.
