As a teenager, who grew up in the 80s, i would watch the re-run episodes of The Prisoner and i was always mesmerized by everthing that Patrick McGoohan would say and do. As a man himself, Sir Patrick McGoohan was a very deep complexed character and yet he was strange and mysterious in many different ways. That's why people liked him so much. RIP Patrick McGoohan !
I can not think of any series like this and during the 60s there was a few off the wall shows made. the last show for me which was shown prime time and different was Sapphire and Steel after 1990s I gave up watching tv as it became dumbed down rubbish mainly due to accountants going for the most profits while making the cheapest programmes it can. they now reap the harvest they have sown lower viewing figures.
Part of the series plot was to get #6 to explain why he resigned. However, most people who quit pounding their fist on a table and make a teacup dance are vocal about why they quit.
It is interesting most series become dated as time goes on, but the Prisoner series gets more relevant in the U.K. as the years go on. In the same way, the book 1984, by George Orwell is also becoming more relevant.
When he drives into the car park the Lotus is black but when he parks outside his town house it is BRG, so is that just the lighting or are there two cars?
I'm sure it's the light. The difference between the bulb-lights an the panel surface is to much. So the cameraman has to decide what he want or has to show.
The car is alway BRG with a yellow nose. The remastered DVDs show this better. Original 480i SD resolution and color rendition dulls the BRG down to almost black in some takes.
But, What I Want To Know, Most of All, Is This: WHERE WAS THAT AUTOMATED FILE MACHINE LOCATED; THAT WAS FILMED; &, INCLUDED IN THE INTRO-?? &,... WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT FILING DEVICE; AS AN ACTUAL MACHINE; &, WHAT IS ITS' BACKSTORY; &, HISTORY; PLEASE-?

Una grande serie degli anni 60. E un'grande attore 👍👍
There aren't too many series like this. Decades later I can still imagine scenes from the series and the emotions they created in me as a child.

Cool thanks for posting.
This is really wonderful stuff
No discussion of" The Prisoner" would be complete without mention of the missing episode where he wakes up in an estate agents in Northwood Hills.

Agree, but “they” wouldn’t accept it, believing #6 had more and deeper motives.
...fantastic !...
:-)
I never knew his house was *No.1* Buckingham Palace Place. Now it all makes sense!
Buckingham Place, not Buckingham Palace Place
The Prisoner doesn't 'make sense', the closer it does more it does not. McGoohan admitted that.
1 Buckingham Place in Victoria.
Where is Number One?
@@starseed96 Buckingham Place obviously.
Always felt bad for Actors that go unaccredited. Especially for iconic scenes.

Steven Ricks ... legend of Prisoner lore!
He's a top agent and he doesn't realize he's being followed?
We all are

Now that was interesting. I have always wanted to know where the flat was.
Thanks for the info. The name means nothing to me, but will look him up.
