I travelled that journey first class in January and I am sure I was given a numbered seat in a numbered carriage. The seats look to be more comfortable in this new service. I will be using the train next month. In January I tried to book the train online from the UK but the website did not accept credit cards - very backward!

You could have clarified which class you travelled in (Economy) because the Kenyan SGR has three classes. If you can, take a tour to the first class or the new business class to showcase the variety of options for new travellers. Thank you!

The Kenyan SGR train is a bit squizzed compared to the Tanzania's Spacious SGR.
