This song helped me see it, I'm married to a wonderful, loving man now, I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren, and the man I was in a toxic relationship with, we've learned to co-parent at a distance.
After 21 years, two bonus sons, a daughter & now two grandbabies I've tried so hard to keep it together. The last 7 being really hard but it takes more than one person. There's only so much I can give & do. I feel this song all the way to my soul right now. I've always loved it but never understood it this deeply. If you want the hard core 70s wake-up passed out-country, then you have have to listen to Gary Stewart. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

he is one of my favorites that got me into country as well. his life story is 10 times better than his music. He is still making new music slowly. He recently walked across america for children in orphanages which slowed him down a bit

I just love to hear Jimmy sing like most of you, and I am always amazed to hear so many other people talk about how great this guy versus others who are far more famous. I have thought the same thing since I first heard him. I don't know if Jimmy just wants it this way or if the music machine is just working against him for some reason. I hear a lot of pop junk passing for country these days and virtually none of these people are at Jimmy Wayne Barber's talent level. It is hard to understand.

Found his book "Walk to Beautiful" (heartbreaking!!) at a thrift shop last week, the first I have heard of Jimmy. I just read where Patricia and Jimmy listened to this song together across the miles the first time it played in his hometown, so I had to come listen. Wow, he has a GREAT voice! Kudos, Jimmy, for all you accomplished after the hell you lived for so many young years. You are indeed an inspiration. Blessings to you and you have made me miss Bea, also.

This song came out at a time when I was debating getting back together with an old boyfriend. It made me stop and realize that if it hadn't worked before, maybe it was just time to have home "stay gone". I never regretted that decision.

this song is helping me out with trying to forget this one beautiful girl i have ever laid eyes on. We went out for a bit and then we took a break and horrible things have happend to her by other people and i regret everyday not being there for her..and i still love her ever since all that happend and i really want her back and its so hard to hold back all the feelings i have for her. I pray to figure our what I should do, but i guess its best that i get far away from her as possible..it hurts..
