This is one of those songs you hear in a store as a child, it gets stuck in your head and you keep it as a memory because its so sweet and pure and innocent and full of love.
Lost my wife five years ago. This was one of her songs when we were separated. Now I listen to it to remember her by. She was better than I deserved. God bless you Goose.
There's something about music from different genres. I grew up in the hood and have always appreciated good music of any genre. The sound reminds me of truck stops when I was a little kid and my parents were driving down south to Memphis TN or North Carolina. It always takes me back to being a little kid and now I drove trucks so when I stop at truck stops music like this plays. Nothing better
Music and smell are such powerful things when it comes to memory. For me, it was long sweeping drives through the midwest as a kid, and when I was just able to drive, taking long night drives and listening to soft music alone. There's a lot to be said about aesthetic and nostalgia.

I'm not one to cry but damn this hits in a different place, we can see how music genre's have changed from full on relationships and live type of things to inspirational lust and drug use, or battling it... It's quiet sad, and I wish I was still a kid even tho things happened that I didn't understand, life was more fun and happier without me understanding

After 10 years, the song still sounds like a hit. It was a massive hit back then. I recall hearing it everywhere. At the supermarket, on the bus, even in the car when your friends turned on the radio.
I was just looking at the top charts for 2010 to add songs to my playlist, this song was #2. I never heard this song til now and I never want to hear it again, it is commercialized garbage.
@@somethingwithbungalows i like the instrumentals, and her solos, same with when they have that polyphony going on. What kills the song is the chorus, and Charles solo. Those two parts are so commercial sounding for the time it makes the song feel dead in a bad way.
I heard this song and realized I couldn't live without my "online friend" from Australia. We had fallen in love. Crazy, I know. We tried to stop communicating. Couldn't do it. He moved here. We've been married almost 7 years. We have a 3 year old son. All thanks to this song. He is the absolute love of my life. My best friend. Best husband and dad in the world. ❤
I also had a online friend from Australia, but in my case she remained friend and now she's happily married with another guy. I'm glad that you had such a happy ending.
Thanks, Ra Ra. It's definitely better if you can find your soulmate in the same country. The immigration process really took its toll on us. It became very apparent to us that the reason the government makes it so difficult (and expensive) is so that only the legitimate couples make it through. Those who aren't and still make it, must be amazing con artists! It's hard work! By the time we got to marry, we felt like we had been through a mini war. It definitely made us appreciate our relationship more and there's no way we'll ever risk it because we had to work so hard just to be together.
@@karaa7595 It must be worth the hassle , right? For us, it wasn't immigration though. I would have done anything humanly possible to be with her , it just didn't happen for us. Maybe we weren't meant to be together. That's why I get extra jealous when I see couples get thorough hard situations. Best of luck.
Ra Ra it was definitely worth the hassle. And I'm sorry it didn't work out for you...if it hadn't for us then I would have taken that as a sign we weren't meant to be.
This song is so nostalgic. I listen to it when I want to feel comforted. It reminds me off driving in a rainy Saturday fall afternoon, passing through the suburbs. It’s so soothing, that it’s comforting as well. Back to the days I didn’t have much worries. . . I’m with you in this, we’re going back in time❤ and wherever you are, hopefully this song makes you feel warmed up as well

This song is exactly what is happening to me right now, just separated and found someone wonderful, thoughtful who wants to enjoy life to the fullest. Things do happen for a reason, when something good passes your way don't hesitate.
This group is not even considered authentic country music. This is pretty much pop country music. This is more pop than country. Even Faith Hill and Shania Twain is more country than this, even though many hardcore old school country fans use to considered them as pop back then. Try listening to Loretta Lynn and Charlie Daniels Band. Now that's country!!
I really like this song. It's easily something I can play on repeat. But I still don't know whether to think of it as a love song or a heartbreak song. Both?

Same here lad
I'm not one to cry but damn this hits in a different place, we can see how music genre's have changed from full on relationships and live type of things to inspirational lust and drug use, or battling it... It's quiet sad, and I wish I was still a kid even tho things happened that I didn't understand, life was more fun and happier without me understanding

This song tears at my heart missing my ex wife after i become unable to walk after spinal fusion problems. 😢
We listened to this all the time. Miss you kim
After 10 years, the song still sounds like a hit. It was a massive hit back then. I recall hearing it everywhere. At the supermarket, on the bus, even in the car when your friends turned on the radio.
Probably designed for mainstream commercial listening $$$ Without the video it's mediocre
I was just looking at the top charts for 2010 to add songs to my playlist, this song was #2. I never heard this song til now and I never want to hear it again, it is commercialized garbage.
@@shootthemoon9549 yeah 2010s country is just flavorless, uncreative commercial garbage, feels like a ghost town song.
@@shleeb896 though the opening to the song is pretty good in my opinion. It always gave me a weird, lonely vibe
Happy for you ❤
This song is so nostalgic. I listen to it when I want to feel comforted. It reminds me off driving in a rainy Saturday fall afternoon, passing through the suburbs. It’s so soothing, that it’s comforting as well. Back to the days I didn’t have much worries.
.
.
I’m with you in this, we’re going back in time❤ and wherever you are, hopefully this song makes you feel warmed up as well
I think about you more often that you think
Then what's stopping you
It reminds me of my longtime friend and sometime lover Sandy who's no longer with us.
@@kevinhall158 we can’t always carry our loved ones with us on our journey in life but we carry their memories and what makes their life special is us the living refuse to forget them
I was in Kindergarten in San Diego when this song came out, my dad just got deployed to Afghanistan for 10 months, I agree, this song is amazing, but it brings back some not to great memories
This song is exactly what is happening to me right now, just separated and found someone wonderful, thoughtful who wants to enjoy life to the fullest.
Things do happen for a reason, when something good passes your way don't hesitate.
I don't usually listen to country music, but when I do, it's lady antebellum, and only lady antebellum
it's because lady antebellum is the shit
Alexa Castillo try listening to the shires there excellent
This group is not even considered authentic country music. This is pretty much pop country music. This is more pop than country. Even Faith Hill and Shania Twain is more country than this, even though many hardcore old school country fans use to considered them as pop back then. Try listening to Loretta Lynn and Charlie Daniels Band. Now that's country!!
+chris beardsmore Wait Kelly Clarkson is country?? I thought she was pop? Anyways great list of classic country artists you have there.

I really like this song. It's easily something I can play on repeat. But I still don't know whether to think of it as a love song or a heartbreak song. Both?

I'm about to blow your mind even more. 2011 is the "default" VEVO date, so to say. This song was released in 2009.
@@Hey_BlinkinIt’s as if we forget that TH-cam was still a fairly new concept at the time or that VEVO was a thing back then. I never understood why VEVO existed. Time to Google for an answer. Thank you Wikipedia for the history lesson. It’s bonkers to think back to a time when these platforms didn’t exist. Although I don’t understand why 2011 is the default date if VEVO was created in 2009?
12 years ago? Thank you. I was trying to figure out how long it's been... this used to be in the MTV Top 20 Videos that used to run on the MTV channel every Saturday morning. I'd record it on my DVR and watch them every Saturday morning with my coffee. But that got cancelled too. 😢 Seems like all the nice things we had in our lives, that we enjoyed, have all been taken away or cancelled. 😢
