Absolutely! We had friends over last night and they reminded me that I gifted them these crackers last year with some homemade sourdough and jam. I hope they make it into some gift baskets for you!
@@letthewordspeakministries888 ooo yes that’s in the works! Stay tuned. It’s a tofu cheese ball and I’ll hopefully have a couple versions out before the holidays! When I ate cheese I used to love a goat cheese that was rolled in cranberries so I’m trying to create a version like that. Do you have favourite flavours for spreadable “cheese”?
Thank you for this recipe they are going to replace the boujee crackers I love that cost waaaaaay to much. The taste is great but I did have trouble crisping them up. I followed your instructions exactly and ended up putting them back in the oven for a addition round of baking and let them cool in the oven overnight. The lower baking sheet came out perfect but the top sheet of crackers still wasn't crisp so they are going back in the oven for another round. I'm not deterred by the extra baking time because they come together so quickly, taste great and are such a money saver if you are looking for a sub for a whole food, no preservative option Thank you
Ok great I’m glad you’ll stick with them even though they can be a little finicky! I find turning the crackers over after they have been cooling in the oven for awhile and are easy to manipulate can help dry out the bottoms. That might help crisp them up a little more quickly. My other seed cracker recipe is definitely less finicky but these ones are more delicate. I’m so glad you love the flavour, the cost savings, and the whole food aspect. Thank you for trying them and letting me know your thoughts!
I happened to use golden flaxseed meal for mine so if you used brown flaxseed your colour will be a bit darker (sometimes I have brown on hand and their is a difference in the colour). You can definitely make them sweeter. I add just the 1 tbsp maple syrup to the water to give them a bit of sweetness but I didn’t want them to overpower the “cheese” or any spread you might have them with. You can definitely boost up the amount of sweetener you use and maybe add more cinnamon and even other spices if you try them again. I appreciate you trying them and letting me know your thoughts. I’m sorry there is something slightly lacking for you!
@@leticiajuarez8381 no I’m using parchment paper which is not waxed and is heat resistant. Wax paper has a coating on it that will melt at high heat and make the crackers stick. I’ve also used silpat or silicone baking mats successfully but prefer parchment or unwaxed baking paper for this recipe.
What will be on your holiday appetizer platters? Any vegan "charcuterie" board favourites I shouldn't skip on mine?
Looks delish! Gonna make these to put in Xmas treat boxes for the neighbors! ❤💚❤️💚❤️💚 Thx for the recipe!!!
Oh great! I’m glad you found the recipe and I hope everyone enjoys them! Thank you for letting me know and Merry Christmas ❤️💚😊

Love this recipe, can i use honey instead of maple syrup?
Absolutely! That should work perfectly 👍🏼
❤❤❤
So glad you like these!
I made these today. Followed each and every step, and mine got a but darker, and there's something missing may be they need to be slightly sweet.

you say not to use wax paper . but that's what you use isn't?
