Dude!! Thank you for the shoutout and for posting my solo! Really appreciate the kind words 🤝 I’ll be at Brooklyn Bowl this Sat with the Stolen Faces hmu and I’ll put you on the list if you’re not busy!
@@ChristoStromit’s not as many pedals as it seems haha. I was just turning on/off + recording some drones with the Hologram Chroma Console to make some cool synthy pads at the beginning of the jam. I was also tapping my delay which sends tempo to the Chroma. That’s probably the most pedal tapping I do ever lol
This channel is really going to blow up, this is amazing watching Broadway instead of just hearing about it we now know what it is about!! Your format of discussing gigs, pay and how things work is so very important, and to disseminate the information like you do in a very valuable asset to a lot of people wanting to get into the industry! Plus the fact you actually play a lot of guitar as well, just makes this channel awesome and I am very glad I found you!!👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the tour. The guitar solo by Ben Sparaco was a treat. I played along with him (mostly in G Phrygian). Love the ambience. Saw the Dead in Madison, Wisconsin way back in the day. The only concert I fell asleep in. Not a bad thing at all - the music was long and drifty - so was I. Best to ya.
I live basically down the street in Muscle Shoals Alabama lol ! Thanks for sharing & really dig your videos! The Stolen Faces are awesome! Keep up the good work !
My wife and I will be headed back up there after Christmas.....I love all the music! My wife gets tired of it after a day or 2 because she comes to my gigs on the weekends 😂😂😂 but after I'm in Nashville for a few days I get reinvigorated to get home & playing again!.... BTW anyone reading this that plans on going to Nashville you have to go to the Johnny Cash museum!
We live near Alpine Valley and for many years the Dead would come and play. The Deadheads would be camped everywhere. Fun times. Burlington Bill busking on the road and here on you tube.
This musician from California visited a few years ago and I saw so many good bands all in a row in one night, it was mind blowing. There was one girl singer that we saw in three different bands! Lots of guitar players with their travel cases and drummers with their snares and sticks hoofing it to their next gig! What a scene!! I had more questions than answers on how all of that worked! Now I know!
I got a video recommended yesterday by the algorithm from a place called "Nudie's Honky Tonk". It was 12 hours long, that showed 3 different bands. Like you said on a previous video, seems they were playing 3-4 hours straight thru, with no pee breaks! And the guitar players were all great, but seemed to me, vocals were the weakest parts. All were like rock cover bands mostly. Hard work for sure. At the end of one's set, the girl singer looked at her phone and commented she had to go do another gig after they were done. I also noticed the club had a basic drum set, but each drummer had to bring their own cymbals. Pretty much how you said gigs worked there in the BNA!🤣
Thanks so much for the sidewalk tour. The last time me and my wife were there was for Tedeshi Trucks at the Ryman. I can’t wait to come back, maybe we’ll see y’all there!
Wife and I hit most of both sides about six years ago before pandemic…great bands, great musicians, great music and great solo performers in a couple restyarants?..great time and bought a few of their dvd”s! 😎👍🎼🎶🎵🎵🎸
Oh man I am missing that place right now. Saw Don Kelly at Roberts with Joe Fick on upright bass. He blew my mind. Saw Guthrie Trapp at Acme feed & seed. Life changing.
Tim, you're right about this band. Like I said before, I watch a live stream from Broadway on YT & I've never heard or seen anything to do with the Grateful Dead. The amount of tourism in Nashville is crazy. I remember when it was a teeny tiny mid-size town. I bet the traffic is horrific now. How are they gonna fix that especially with so many people moving there? Oh, I also watch a live stream of Dee's Lounge. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Wish more bars would live stream. Years ago, I used to watch Tootsies but they took their web cam down. Keep doing what you're doing. Take care....
Love your channel dude! I’m a guitarist/singer and im wondering if you can play broadway year round? Do places have bands even during slow months like January? Thanks man, you rock!
Hey Jonathan, thanks for the super chat!! Yes people play down here year round! I will say it slows down during the off months like anywhere, but you could come to Broadway on Christmas Day and there will be people playing. Best of luck to you man!
Loved this! I always figured I’d have a blast on Broadway (but have never been.) This video cinches it, though, what a vibe for a music lover. Thanks, man
That is truely a haunting vibe that revives the DEAD to perfection-been on Broadway many times, be advised if you go, take plenty of coin. That's why there's so much "Shine" in South...Liquor prices ridiculous...
In Texas, in Austin on 6th street - it used to be like this. But these days, it’s bands playing cover songs. Cover songs. That, or a DJ after 10pm. So many Austin songwriters are playing other cities nowadays. It’s a shame. I’ve spent a few nights on Broadway, even playing in downtown Nashville during NAMM. At least Nashville is still promoting original music. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Texas. 🙏
Yo Bro! Grateful Dead?? Now you're def talkin my language! SupaSweeeeeet! Encouraging to know some Live Dead can be found in Nashville on a Monday night!!
This is not possible in Holland , not even in Amsterdam , so many bands playing on a monday ? You told us about the time slots these band play in and i can not imagine ever seeing a band play on 10.00 o'çlock in the morning , where do all these people come from ?
Love your stuff Tim, just discovered your channel a couple of weeks a go and recently subscribed. Love what you're doing man. Would love to work with you. I've got a few content idea. I'm down in Franklin. Thomas
Cool video Tim. I know lower broadway isn’t where the cool kids hangout but you’re right there’s some jems to be found down there. I come to town once or twice a year and and I still go down there. I live in philly. Next Monday check out pat Sweaney at the 5 spot if you can. Guaranteed to blow your mind.
I think that Dead band is at Acme. And there's like no one there lol. I recently lived in Nashville for two years, and there really are some awesome cover bands. The overall quality of the musicians is very high. I remember one little group was a guy on keyboards covering Justin Bieber songs, apparently that's a popular thing, and they just blew my mind. The musicianship, vocals, everything wsa full of spirit and on point. I rarely went to Broadway, but it was always good music.
Your most likely talking about Printer's Alley which is located off Church Street between 3rd & 4th Avenue North, a couple blocks off Broadway. My guess would be that you were either at Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar or Skull's Rainbow Room. Just thought you might like to know for your return trip.
They are one of better dead cover bands I’ve seen . There’s a difference between a player and a performer, dead were players , no practice , just leaning on each other trying to keep train on the tracks .

Dude that was so solid. Thanks for taking credit for that fine piece of work brother. ❤
Really nice guitar work! You nailed the Garcia vibe and added a twist of Nashville. Keep it up!
Ben Jammin' , how do you keep track of all those pedals :) Cool setup!

@@BenSparaco what song are you guys playing? I love the Egyptian sounding ending.

Tasty guitar player in that Grateful Dead tribute. Not even a big Dead fan but I could vibe on that!

Thanks for the encouragement to make my first trip to Nashville.
Way overdue 👍🏻
You’re right. You saved the best for last. Great guitar work. Thanks for the video strolling down the street. 👍
Nice Tim. Great content. I haven't seen this type of content before. Very enjoyable and it helps give exposure to the bands. Win win.

wow, ben is excellent guitar player ,great with effects too

Nice jam out of Crazy Fingers into Spanish Jam. Very cool!
That Stolen Faces was super cool, being a dead head from the 70’s I can sure appreciate their commitment to the band.

The Dead will never die! Cool stuff. Thanks for sharing, Tim.
Great video, cool seeing all the bands playing in the different venues.

That was so cool to check out. Reminds me of 6th street in Austin Texas. I have hung there hundreds of nights.
All the live music is so great! For sure a place I want to visit soon! Thank you!
It’d be cool if you showed us some of the off Broadway spots for rock/hard rock. So much different music to be found in Nashville.
Looking forward to hopefully checking out the live music scene and setting up some co-writes in Nashville this year. I’m in Toronto.

crazy fingers ....nice !
Miss going to Robert's in the early 2000s with Don Kelly, Dave Rowe, and Guthrie Trapp ripping. Printers alley blues bar used to be my fave as well.
Dope stuff Tim. Honestly inspirational as an artist from SF trying to figure out wear to move.

Hat looks great man.......that makes LANCO proud.😅 Be there next week recording. Love that town man. But also glad I live in Atlanta.
Cool. As an aspiring banjo, harmonica, guitar player, and singer. I need to go to Nashville.
Great video I loved seeing it all it was awesome to see thanks 🤙🤙🤙
I live in Nashville and no amount of money could get me down there. 😂
Tourist trap blvd. lol
Just missed you! Was there over the weekend. Cheers from PA!
Right off the bat you walked right past Nick Swan!

It’s to bad more cities aren’t like this
very cool jam
I had been there years ago but never quite like this, thanks for showing the point of view, I’m going to visit ASAP!!
Did you make it to Legends?
Last time I was there 7-8 years ago, the drummers used Cajons instead of full drum sets. Is that still the trend?
Niiiiiice
Enjoying the video!
Really cool video !!👍👏👏👏😊🎤🎸🎸🥁🎹
nice crazy fingers

The hat is so you don't have to sign all the autographs!
ayyyyyy what up Tim
Everyone is doing it Tim. and this is just a small slice
Love it man
Sounds killer!
If I imagine Heaven, this is it !!!!
No Robert's Western World w/"John England @ The Western Swingers?" :)
Nice little Crazy Fingers!!!
Be sure to stop and say hello to ZPIERRE 509 . He’s probably the biggest TH-camr on Broadway.
One day they'll change the name of the city to Cacophony.
Sweet!!!
👍👍😎✌️🤟
I haven't been back to Nashville in maybe twenty-years...time for another visit. edit: there was some place in an alley that was amazing.

Some Grateful Dead in Nashville. I knew there had to be some heads…

Although I love music and love the guitar that would not be for me.. no way. To many people all over each other and every band sounds the same.
Gotal love all you rock and roller wanta be's
it looks like every tourist trap sh*thole ive ever been to, just with a ton of bands
Tim 👏👏👏👏👏
I'll bet you get carded alot!🍷🍺🍸
The bands all sound the same.
Look like you could be john mayers cousin or little brother
All the singers sound have the same twang...
Watching this is so depressing for a native. Downtown Nashville is a shithole.
Real country ? Grateful dead
