I was in Nashville last May 2023. We did some clubbing. Our hotel was a former high fidelity recording studio for Country Musicians now rented out. However many of the bands were semi-pros from the amateur circle coming to Nashville to play and get noticed. So the music acts are much more social with the clubbers, and I got to know a few. The Grand ole Opry is worth a visit and the Country Hall of fame, or maybe it was the museum, also worth it. Parking was expensive, very hot in May and June. It's a university town, lots of students and young people. Many active and former music studios, many music industry ppl in town-- always. I would recommend it as a very unique and worthwhile US city to visit.

In the 70's I worked on 2nd Ave North in a warehouse. 2nd Avenue was all warehouses back then. Lower Broadway, the area you just walked through consisted of pawn shops and XXX bookstores. The closest place to get a hot sandwich at lunch was Tootsies grill. I rode the bus in from Hermitage to work because the parking lots charged $2.00 a day. Expensive at the time. I have watched it all gradually change over the years. Some good stuff no doubt but the charm that we used to have in Nashville is gone. Enjoyed watching this.

Yes, it's very unique in that there are so many bars in one area with live music. I just don't like music that is 60 years old. Every place plays the same thing - old rock and country. There is nothing original there. No DJs, rappers, etc. To each his own but being from LA, I would rather go into a place with a DJ.
@@clivemoney1762 Well, if you look at the distribution of sales, Rock and Roll is basically on life support. There has been some interest lately but it's nowhere what it was in the 80s and 90s. I use to go downtown a lot back in the late 80’s it wasn’t near as crowded and lots of nice restaurants now to me it’s just tourist stuff and way to crowed. This doesn’t even look like a Saturday night crowd. Many Saturday nights you can hardly move and forget trying to drive through unless you got a hour to go a couple blocks. So many pedestrians and many keep crossing the streets after the light changes and most as you would imagine are drunk. No doubt it’s fun for those who enjoy that kind of stuff but I never go there these days.
Haven't missed a thing in Downtown Nashville Nothing...Drunks Overcrowded, Parking to $$, Trash is everywhere. If ya want to find a waste of time, Downtown Nashville is the place to be.
I used to park my truck at the downtown TA truck stop and catch a cab to Tootsies Orchard Lounge, a truly legendary bar. It was always during the week, I never saw crowds like this.i think that probably would have ruined the experience for me
Tootsies is the laughing stock of the locals. The bartenders are rude and a money pit for tourists. The music ( if you want to call it that) is not traditional. I’ve been to Nashville about 100 times in the last fifteen years. I darken the doors of Tooties 3 times and tried around and walked out. Layla’s and Robert’s are about the only country places still down there.
12 years ago Nashville was still a nice place to go. You could see some crumbling beginning to happen but still had country music. Now in 2024, there’s like 2 or 3 places that still play real country music downtown. Nashville is not known for music any longer. It’s known for parties and binge drinking! A dirty city, especially after dark. A liberal run city.
Yep, been a Nashvillian for 34 years. I worked downtown for many of them and know every one of those streets. BUT, it's not the same anymore. I will say except for about 30 years ago when they cleaned up the 'adult' shops. That was a move up at least. Still, I live only 6 miles south of this mayhem and have no desire to go downtown anymore.
here I see a lot of people badmouthing Nashville.... In this video I like what I see, I'm from a small town in the middle of nowhere in Spain but I've been in all the main towns in Europe and some in the U.S. and Being a musician myself, Nashville is a very nice place to spend a few days going to watch live music shows, etc and most important it still has the typical Southern looks and good vibe. You go these days to London, Paris, Dublin, Barcelona and only see Middle East all covered women and that kind of shit because of the out of control immigration. Trust me this is way better than that. I watched a similar video about after midnight in L.A and it was shit if you compare with Nashville for sure. Anyway I'll see by myself because I'm going to Nasxhville in a few months.
I'm an American and I live in Cardiff Wales and you're right, theres an Islamic invasion. In Cardiff though on a Fri and Sat night you see clad dressed Welsh women drunk and throwing up everywhere as well as the men. You'd think a bomb dropped on the place with the mess in the morning. city totally trashed.

why yal only show downtown nashville bcs if you really know nashville you know that broadway is where the country music is if u go anywhere else in nashville it’s not like this… show people the real nashville not just broadway
I'm in Adelaide Australia has the same country feel to it. Would love to go to Nashville sometime
Obviously you’re not from here.😂
Just wanted to give you all a shout out from capital records here in Nashville l wanted to say thanks to all of Johnny Cashes crew it was nice loading his luggage to American Air lines and to meet him in person on my break,
Good evening everyone 5 o'clock trying to beat the 🌧 drops on this 80 degree Sunday trying to get this chicken wings deep fried for everyone here at capital records here on music row, and don't forget the Miller lite
So much for the capital of country music.
Country Music. I don't get it.
I played hundreds of gigs down there back in the 2010 -14 time frame and it’s all the same songs, except that Tyler Childers that was ending as you walked up. It was interesting , almost like a time portal from the times I walked around that lower broadway area. Thanks for doing the work 🤘🤘
Huh? Thought that was Vegas for a minute. What a shame.....
Nice and relaxed atmosphere! I'd love to go there, but it's 4670 miles away :)
One of the biggest Guitar pawn shops is there..from all the musicians who dreamed of making it big in country music
Know the name? Sounds interesting. Almost sad too . Headed for Nashville in a few weeks
@@kennyb4748 it starts with a G
Its on the boulevard of broken dreams
This looks like the best place in the U.S.A. to be if you like a lot of people and bands playing in a bar on every corner. It looks like most bars have no cover charge.
it is your very right , it was very busy because of nascar the next day but to be going in bar to bar with live music is great
Urban decay
This Nashville has nothing to do with Nashville.
Nice, I'll be in Nashville in Sept !!
@@VJWIDEVISION you will love it 😀
Battle dress uniform for chicks is crop tops, short shorts and boots.
As a Nashville native the tourism is insane here now Nashville had 16 million people visit Nashville in 2023 we are on record to beat that record this weekend it’s insane!
Thanks hawk tuah girl.
She just increased tourism to this state 😂
Thanks for helping me to easily cross this amusement park off my bucket list.
Im a Great Country music Fan. But i will never go to Nashville. It would be like goin to Iceland to find Vikings
Nashville is crowded with tourists. The tourists expected to pay high priced restaurants plus forced to pay waiters 30% tips.
Wonderful video. I’m still trying to visit there after Oshkosh. Surprised not hear many female solo artists.
How bout Miwaukee, a great city!!
How bout Milwaukee, a great city!!!
I dunno of any other place with as lively a nightlife in 2024, people that are hating are just lame and goofy.. you see everybody here enjoying themselves
@@Baldyyyyyyyy hi thank you for watching , Nashville is amazing , everyone is happy and having a good time
Yes, it's very unique in that there are so many bars in one area with live music. I just don't like music that is 60 years old. Every place plays the same thing - old rock and country. There is nothing original there. No DJs, rappers, etc. To each his own but being from LA, I would rather go into a place with a DJ.
Long live rock nroll 😂
@@clivemoney1762 Well, if you look at the distribution of sales, Rock and Roll is basically on life support. There has been some interest lately but it's nowhere what it was in the 80s and 90s. Maybe Rock will see a revival at some point in the future. Who knows. But music doesn't hold much value anymore to people so it really doesn't matter at this point.
@@smccarthy945 .. actually.these some excellent young rock bands..eg..Greta Van Fleet .Dirty Honey..Solo artists Samantha Fish..Joe.Bonamassa...rhat are promoting real music..to large audiences..look.arround..real.music.byreal.people.attracts people with good.taste ..
Yep I don't like places that are too packed
Haven't missed a thing in Downtown Nashville Nothing...Drunks Overcrowded, Parking to $$, Trash is everywhere. If ya want to find a waste of time, Downtown Nashville is the place to be.
LOVE this city!
Do you know of any local music spots. I'm staying by 5 points
The best youtube video on Nashville
thank you so much 😀
I just came here for the Hawk Thua girl. Greetings from southern Europe.
How is that 5-second meme drawing attention to a whole city??
"Head" is a powerful thing 😂😂
Lord help us.
Last legit music bar in Nashville is the the Bluebird Cafe and it's far outside downtown.
here I see a lot of people badmouthing Nashville.... Anyway I'll see by myself because I'm going to Nasxhville in a few months.
you are so right about everything you said , Nashville is amazing , it’s so great going from bar to bar with live music 😀
It's all fake though.. The good stuff is in Madison, where the lefties are.
