*Morena Liz, Paul & Ernie, I look forward to my Thursday mornings, as you have just uploaded another video. The joys of being 12 hours ahead of you in time down here in NZ. But then stepping right back in time to see Shackertone Station. I am so pleased that the community there, have restored it and have it open to the public. Do any of the trains work? Ernie & his zoomies.. but his head butting was hard enough, that he could give you a blackeye. Oh I almost spat out my drink with Paul making his 'sexual windup' comment... gee his timing was perfect hehehe Paul is good to think of gathering up the kindling for the fire, especially whilst you are in the midst of winter. Hey do you know if the local counties clear out the canals when the grass & foliage comes so far out into the water.... then you would have a lot more wider canals to sail in.🙂.nz*
Happy Thursday morning Andrea. Shackerstone Station does have trains running for events throughout the year but not your everyday commuter trains or anything, it's a lovely place isn't it. Paul and his quick wit almost had be choking on that hot chocolate 🤣 The canals are managed by a trust called the canal and river trust. They do maintenance etc on the canals and do remove some growth but not sure when, we've never seen anyone doing it yet. Some places, it really does the limit the mooring spaces where its all grown. I'm sorry Paul but everytime I watch Ernie giving you a Kirby Kiss (Head Butt) and you bangin your head just creases me with laughter! lol :) What a great place to visit that train station it reminded me of the Railway Children, was expecting Bernard Cribbins to pop his head out and ask if you wanted a cuppa tea! You two togeher are a breath of fresh air. If your counting just count to nine for gods sake bugger the "Ands". Always look forward to a wednesday :) Stay warm stay safe you two :)
PS: Paul meant to say get one of those little hand held electric chain saws they are really good. Liz yer doin great steering the boat! :)
Ha ha Ernie was getting his own back for sure with that 'Kirby Kiss'. Shackerstone Station was lovely, well worth a visit. Packed with history. Glad you are enjoying the vlogs, was a bit worried about this one as we weren't sure if it had enough cruising in it but we try and keep them as lighthearted and interesting as we can. 😀
